Poor Richard's bait and tackle shop is not a huge place but every inch is packed with tackle and fishing gear for various species on Lake Erie! It almost seems like if Poor Richard's doesn't have it it doesn't exist! The selection is unbelievable and of high quality and the pricing is very fair! The shop was very busy with many fishermen in and out.

I really like this joint. Lots of good stuff, helpful staff. gives off the little town bait shop big box stores like fishusa (right down the road) doesn't. Bait, rods,tackle, trolling gear all reasonably priced. Information, fish cleaning, boat storage, if they don't have it you don't need it.

Great prices on everything. They don't price gouge like many other baitshops

I'm a new fisherman. Everytime I visit this bait shop, the staff is always very helpful, and more than willing to take the time to share their knowledge with the new guys. There is no one pressuring you to purchase anything, overall a great experience every time I stop by.

It's obvious that this is The bait shop for the locals. At 5 AM, they are early risers, so you can grab live bait or nearly anything you'll need on the lake. Super knowledgeable and kind, even at the crack of dawn. They seem to love their job!

This was our first time in here. I told them this was out first time fishing in lake Erie. They were very helpful getting us our rods and reels. They have everything you would need for fishing. We will definitely be back for more poles and reels.

Been there twice...once for a fishing license late in the year last year...today just to buy some minnows. Same young lady both times very quick, informative, and helpful both visits. Just starting to fish again after nearly 20 year break. Clearly a well run business that cares about their customers.
