Lake Erie Lodge

I liked the rooms very much, they were clean and updated. It definitely is more in the motel type, but very well kept. The only thing is they ask for a $50. deposit "no big deal" it's supposed to go back on after the room is checked but I was there Sunday it is now Wednesday evenings and the deposit hasn't been given back yet. I slept there, showered and left so I hope it's back on my card by the end of the week. Then I'll change my 3⭐ to a 5⭐. As promised 5 ⭐

i personally loved it! the staff olley was amazing he made the stay much better! he sat and talked to us and made the place even more comforting! we needed more towels he said to give old ones he’ll give us new ones he gave us more then enough towels for us! they also do jet ski rentals! it’s a blast i would definitely come back and stay at this motel! 10/10 all though i wish it had a hair dryer ahha! but that is something i should’ve packed!

My girlfriend, friends, and myself stayed at the Lake Erie Lodge the 14-17th. We originally had reservations at a different hotel but they had cancelled our reservation very last minute. Thankfully the Lake Erie Lodge came to our rescue and fit us in last minute and were very accommodating. The room was very nice and up to date. The property is very nice and we particularly enjoyed the gazebo as well as the volley ball court. The staff was very friendly and quick to respond to our concerns. We would recommend this place to anyone staying in Erie as it's close to the lake, good food etc.

Stayed here. nice rooms ,very clean and quiet. Used the pool. Which is very nice and clean. Nice hot water for shower that was a big plus. When we go back up to Erie we will be staying here again! Walking distance from store and restaurants

The staff is very friendly, and helpful, check in and talk daily, very respectful. Clean rooms, clean towels daily, Updated pool, very clean with cute decorative lights in it. Overall amazing people and a very nice motel.

The man working Christmas night was very accommodating and helpful, very nice. Room was clean, no complaints. The only thing was that the heat was down/ off before I booked the room and it took a couple hours for the room to heat up to a comfortable temperature. ( it WAS only 14° that night outside, though) Could have used a blanket, too authentic sheet and thin bedspread were not very warm.
I'd definitely stay again. !!!

My opinion is based on my experience of staying in room #45, which is a luxury suite accessed from an interior hall with no frontage to the parking lot and isolated from the commotion of the surrounding rooms. Because it is budget-friendly there are a lot of kids running around, but in my room it was quiet, and dark because of no fronting windows which made for good sleeping. The room itself is much larger than the other rooms, so there was a lot of space. It was recently renovated, with updated bathroom and features a king-size bed, mini-fridge, microwave, large 25" TV, love seat, coffee table, closet to hang clothes and put bags, small desk, and office chair. I spoke at length with the owner. He's a great guy, with lofty plans to continue renovating and improving the location. It is on the same road as the access to Presque Isle State Park, which is less than a mile away, so it's a great location. There are a number of places around it to eat. While this area is referred to as PAs seashore, it is surrounded by Erie, PAs 5th largest city, which does not have the beach vibe you get at the ocean, which is disappointing. This motel is what it is, and you get what you pay for- a clean place to shower and sleep after being on the beach all day. If your intent is for just a getaway to hang out in the room to watch TV, this won't be your cup of tea, as you generally at least want a good view of something, which you don't have here. You stay here for convenience, and it serves that purpose well

Called last minute to book 3 rooms for 10 guests. They were very accommodating and friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable. This is in a great location and close to everything. We are looking forward to booking again.

A nice motel where you can sit nicely outside the door. The manager was very friendly. The room was clean and there was even a pool. Gladly again! Greetings from Berlin, Germany.

I can honestly say by my own experience here at Lake Erie Lodge., It is a wonderful establishment.. The employee's hospitality is extraordinarily tremendous.. Very family friendly and oriented.. As well as the guests that come and go., Extremely great people., Well respectable.. With the prices this cheap., It's a miraculous stay.. Every room is so clean and nicely kept., very well put together.. The swimming pool is clean and clear.. There's an area with a beautiful fire pit perfect for relaxing with friends and family after a long exhausting day.. So if you happen to catch yourself in the area., Stop in., Get yourself a room., Take your shoes off and kick your feet up.. And if there's anything you need., any questions you have., just ask for Magic or Mark., They are absolutely amazing.!

The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, the pool was fun, everything was great. The staff was incredibly friendly. A hotel can make or break your vacation. A bad hotel experience can really ruin your trip. I'm glad to say I had a wonderful time. I sat outside and talked to the other guests and the staff. I truly love the relaxed yet professional and clean atmosphere here. Everything else in the area is double the price even. Oh, and the location, it can't be better. Maybe a 10 minute walk to the first beach and that coca cola shop. Honestly, I come here yearly for a week, and this has instantly become my go to. Ed, you truly helped make my vacation a good time. I can't wait to see you all again on my next trip!

If you want a clean place by the water this is it.The new owner is awesome and put alot of hard work into the place .The staff is great.Will definitely be finding a reason to go back to erie so I can stay here again.Nice pool Pavillion and people.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Able to sit on lawn furniture and chat with others staying here. Our room was very clean. Unlike some reviews I read, the floors are laminate and clean . The pool. Is very nice. No breakfast being served but we found the Gem City Diner a few blocks on W 12th Street that was very good! Would go back and stay at this motel

Room was clean and recently updated! Great location with restaurants and stores within walking distance. Everyone was super helpful and very friendly. Definitely staying here in the future for the next trip up!!

Great location! Owners were super accommodating ( we had a boat to park!). The room was clean and fresh! Price was great. Nice clean pool that was being enjoyed by customers!

Clean quiet place right by beach and walking distance to anything you need. It's local owned and you deal with owner one on one. Price is the cheapest in town!!!! And it's being remodeled to be even better****👍👍👍👍👍

We were pleased with our stay. It wasnt a fancy place but it was very clean and the father and son who run it were very nice. We have a 14 month old and I felt comfortable letting her play on the floor. It looks like they just updated the rooms and bathroom. The only thing I would have liked to see is a current on the bathroom window. The window is up high enough that no one could see in though. We didnt use it, but they had a nice pool, volleyball court, and picnic area. The price was pretty good as well! The location was nice, we were minutes away from beaches, shopping, food, and down town Erie.

This is an adorable little roadside America motel that reminds us of places we have seen in tv shows and movies.

All of the staff and caretakers were very friendly and you could tell they obviously cared about the place.

The fact that it was pet friendly was a must for us as we were traveling with our furry family members. Hard floors instead of carpet= Huge plus because it eliminated odors left behind by previous 4-legged guests that tend to cause our dogs to be less comfortable in motel rooms. There was plenty of grassy area for us to walk them and other guests seemed better at picking up after their pets than we have seen at other places.

The smaller outdoor pool was enjoyed by our son the little bit of time we had to use it, and we loved having Adirondack chairs outside of the rooms to visit with the family members who were traveling with us in the next room.

It is close to many restaurants, stores, and attractions... no coffee in the lobby or continental breakfast but there’s a McDonalds right next door for in the morning or you can do what we did and travel with your Keurig, some groceries, and a countertop appliance or 2 to save some money on dining out and feel more at home. The fridge in the room was big enough to hold everything we needed and there was a microwave and a table big enough to set up my makeshift kitchen on.

If you are looking for bells, whistles, frills, and luxuries this is not your place. If you are looking for a cozy place with character and history to make some great memories with your loved ones while staying at, this IS your place. We look forward to visiting again!

I have been here several times. In my experience always had a great stay. Rooms are clean and updated. The staff is very accommodating. I highly recommend this establishment.
