Great service with quality innovative menu! Long story short we were forgotten at the bar for a bit. We were given apologies and offered a bottle of wine on the house. We not only loved the food, drinks and atmosphere but also enjoyed the thoughtful service.

Delicious, perfectly prepared food. Sashimi and ceviche were too die for, the Wagyu sirloin was perfect. They have a decent selection of adult beverages and beer. The place is cozy. The location is on a busy downtown street. Over all this place is a wonderful Erie foodie spot. I would definitely go there again.

My wife and I went looking for daring and interesting cuisine while here on business. This placed nailed it! What you’re paying for here is art for your taste buds. It was much appreciated!

We went out for a business dinner and we tried all the apps. The butterfly shrimp was amazing, the sushi was good, the COBE on the stone was fire as hell! Dinner included flat iron steak which was the one of the best tastes in the building, the ribeye for 2 which the French fries were the best I have ever tasted, the scallops and pork belly and the scallops were cooked literally to perfection, and the wagou which omg butter in my mouth and the mushrooms complemented it perfect. We had all the deserts as well which the lemon pie was the best and second was the chocolate cake. The service was phenomenal and the waitress was really cute and extremely friendly. We go here every 3 months and this is my first review. The best spot in town hands down!!! If you have the cash trust me spending it here will be one of the best decisions you have ever made 100%

In a city where "fine dining" is often synonymous with yet another bland Italian restaurant, 1201 Kitchen stands out as a truly amazing culinary option. The menu, which takes advantage of seasonal produce, is filled with fusion dishes heavily influenced by Asian cuisine. The serving sizes are not monstrous (yet, I've still found them very filling) and have a great presentation. I'm not much for liquor or wine, so I'll leave that to another reviewer. The beer selection is not lengthy, but there's always something that I like and it's nice to see local brewer's creations on the menu.
With Covid-19 wreaking havoc on the dining scene, 1201 has made a few changes including recently partnering with a winery in Erie county for a unique outdoor dining experience. My husband and I were able to secure reservations for a dinner with that partnership and we brought friends who were visiting from New England. The menu, pared down to a couple of options, was nevertheless impressive and the food was lick-your-plate-clean fantastic.
Despite the significantly limited reservation availability at their State Street location due to Covid-19, we were lucky enough to get a table for my birthday this year. We each had a 7-course meal for $40 and regardless of how full we both were by the end, my husband and I finished our meals with the same lick-your-plate-clean enthusiasm.
In short, 1201 Kitchen is an excellent restaurant and a gem in the city of Erie.

Wonderful menu that changes about monthly. Seems to be primarily Pacific rim, and always well conceived and prepared. Very upscale. Food is delicious, and the atmosphere is pleasant. Be sure and eat at the chef’s bar in the kitchen at least once. Get to watch the food prepared, and talk to the (sous)chef him/herself depending on the night. Go early on taco Tuesday if you want a seat to enjoy a tasty Asian influenced delight. Sometimes just to get out during our long dark winters, we often go later in the evening to sit at the main bar and knosh on tapas and small plates. A bit to relax and a bit for the romance. Oh and the staff is extremely efficient, knowledgeable, and friendly.

This was our first time here and we will definitely be back! We decided to try a variety of things. We had the scallop appetizer, 2 sushi rolls, and the crab small plate. Everything from start to finish was amazing. The flourless chocolate cake is also delicious and they have really good cappuccino too!This place is a must for good food and good wine!

Great Food. We had Lamb, carrot salad, small dishes and sushi. All ingredients were fresh and we'll prepared. The Chef catered a dish for my 10 year old and the staff was very friendly. The atmosphere was charming. I love going to local restaurants when traveling. Well done!

We dined in the private area downstairs and it was unbelievable. The atmosphere and the food was perfectly done. The studying that the Chefs did around the world to understand the food shows immensely. I would recommend this place to anyone interested in a great meal and incredible experience locally.

Amazing food that is worth every penny. The service is spectacular. From the time you walk in to when you leave
they make you feel right at home. They even provide a view into the kitchen where you can watch the chef prepare the meals that are being served. This is truly a fantastic dining experience. I've been here several times and I'm never disappointed.

Great first visit. Staff was very polite and professional, very knowledgeable regarding details of their menu etc. Very unusual selection of items, mixing Latin flavors with Asian presentations. Very well-prepared and tasty! Restaurant interior is very nicely decorated, and with good views of downtown Erie.

This was the best meal and cocktails I've ever had. 1201 Manhattan and scallop sushi roll are best I've ever had. And the ramen is excellent. There menu does change often though so these may not be there. But I trust they put as much thought and craft into everything.

Fantastic food and a smooth environment. My wife enjoyed everything that we got; from the chips and salsa, to the main course, to the ceviche, and the many variations of mixed cocktails. Definitely one of the best dining establishments in Erie.

The 1201 website states contemporary Latin / Asian, but those cuisines are only the starting point for very creative, delicious, and enjoyable food. The menu, wine, beer and cocktail lists, all offer something for everyone. Mary, our Server, was very nice and knowledgeable about all the offerings, including the wine.Also, the restaurant was very conscientious about food allergies, and well versed on what to serve and not serve to avoid an allergy.
