Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Erie

Stayed here after we left another hotel in the area that had mold in the room. They were very nice at this location and gave us a good deal on the room. The tv in my room couldn’t get any channels and they gave me an additional $20 back which was nice of them. The pool and hot tub in this location was also really nice. Breakfast was also yummy and there was plenty of options.

We went to Splash Lagoon and decided to stay at Hawthorne Suites. The King suite with pull out bed was great! Very roomy, looked recently remodeled...even had a nice fireplace. Everything was clean and the hotel had a nice breakfast as well. Room was ready well before official check-in time. Overall, would highly recommend and we will certainly be back.

Had to find a room for one night. Did a quick search and found Hawthorn Suites and it was under $100 and included breakfast, I was sold! The room was nice, not perfect but well worth the money. Breakfast was also very good. The kids enjoyed the pool. I would recommend this hotel for any family!

This hotel is connected to Splash Lagoon. So, we were able to walk in our swim gear directly from our room, protected from the cold weather outside. The hotel serves breakfast in the morning. At one point, it was nice to return back from our high- energy activities from the water park and relax in the hot tub and pool at the hotel.

We had a wonderful stay here! The two bedroom suite was an unexpectedly great deal...it had two bedrooms with three double beds, two bathrooms (one with a two person soaking tub), living room with gas fireplace, and a well-stocked kitchen with appliances. I couldn't get the jacuzzi to work, but that's ok because I didn't expect it anyway. The breakfast and pool area were also very nice. We'll be back!

My husband had to work in the area for the week so my dog and I went along with him to make his week easier for him! Our room was great nice clean and cozy we had a king suite. I loved the idea of the kitchen with plates silverware glasses and pans with a full fridge. Also with a dishwasher that we did not use but they also provide dish soap to do the dishes! Cozy fireplace as well! The room was clean and the staff were friendly! We went down and had breakfast every morning before he went off to work that was delicious! My only complaint that I have that wasent even really bad to be honest was our room was right beside the elevator on the first floor so we heard all the traffic and the kids coming to and from splash lagoon it wasent to bad but that would be my only complaint we have!!

Went here for just a night and it was so nice and clean. Came to Erie a few weekends ago and our hotel room for quality in had bedbugs. So we were nervous about a hotel but let me tell you this hotel is so nice ! Our room had a kitchen fire place , full fridge 2 beds 2 tvs the bathroom was nice. The pool and hot tub are awesome and clean. The staff was so nice. The free breakfast is a must ! They had so many options and it was so good ! (Waffles, sausage, eggs, potatoes, bagels, cereal, juices, yogurt, toast, danishes, coffee, tea, hot chocolate) definitely will only come here for future trips!

i had to check my bill several times. I couldn't believe the size of our room vs the what we paid. The room was HUGE! full kitchen. fireplace. gigantic living room. My bill was barely over $100 per night. The breakfast was great. Butter was not frozen so solid that it couldn't be spread. Pool was wonderful. 89°. Most hotels with pools can't be bothered with keeping them warm enough to swim.... as though because of liability they don't actually want people to swim. Jacuzzi equally nice and overall swim area elevated to more than a cement hole or an after thought as per most hotel. In addition connected to an entire indoor waterpark! Also connected to Quaker Steak Restaurant. Staff was super helpful. Checked in late, needed to get food and they agreed to leave the pool open a little bit later so I could get in a quick soak before bed. That extra little bit is meaningful and super appreciated.

the negatives? as i see it. room was clean, as was pool and dining area. Other public areas like hallways could have used a vacuum and clean up. No big deal. For the price I paid, i'd be happy to vacuum myself. If I ever pass through this area again, i know here I'm staying.

We had a great time at the Hawthorn. The hotel is connected to splash lagoon. The hotel staff are very friendly and went above and beyond. The room was very clean had two bathrooms both with jacuzzi tub. The only reason I gave the room 4 stars instead of 5 is that the toilets didn't flush very well. But they didn't overflow. Just had to hold the flusher for a few minutes.

We had a great experience staying here with two kids, 8 and 5. Being able to leave our room and walk down the hall and be inside Splash Lagoon is a such a nice situation that makes it easy with kids to come and go and not battle parking, loading up the car, etc. The staff was nice and our room, a one room suite, was exactly what we needed to accommodate the 4 of us and our dog. That was a bonus is dogs are allowed and we were happy to have that option to bring ours. We will definitely come back as it's a nice weekend trip.

It's definitely worth the price to have 2 bedrooms. Rooms are extremely outdated but clean. Beds are really comfortable. Pool and hot tub clean and very nice. Staff gets 8 star for Michelle and Rachael at front desk. Thank you girls! And breakfast is honestly some of the best hotel food I have had in a long time. The gentleman who runs the breakfast said he has done it for many years. We appreciated his kindness and his help.

Excellent choice to stay at! Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, and the location was very convenient. We really enjoyed the breakfast. I gave 4 stars to service because of housekeeping. Our room was very clean, but during our stay I asked them for some extra items because one of the kids got sick and she never brought it to me. I went to the front desk to get it myself which was frustrating because she was cleaning rooms near us for hours and forgot it.

I booked this hotel as a package with Splash Lagoon. Reading other reviews, I started to get nervous about the quality and cleanliness. But, it was great. The room, lobby, etc were all very clean and the staff was very friendly. The access to Splash Lagoon was convenient and the hotel pool was a bonus. Breakfast also had a wide variety of choices and tasted good. We were very happy and would definitely stay again if we’re in the area.

Staff were amazing! Everyone that worked here seemed pleasant, helpful and wanted to help. The gentleman serving breakfast wouldn't let you go away hungry if you tried, desk clerks held doors and helped my children find the elevator and then smiled and acknowledged my son everytime we saw him again. The morning we went to leave the cheerfulness of the place was contagious! Room was nice, kitchen was an added bonus, jacuzzi bathroom was awesome and the sheets and bedding were luxurious. Enjoyed our stay and will be back!

We were heading to Niagara Falls and had car trouble. Stopped at Erie. Michelle went over and above board to help us out. The room was a great deal for the price. If we are in the area again, we will definitely stay here again just because of Michelle's excellent treatment. She made a bad situation tolerable.

Spacious suite, gigantic jacuzzi tub, kitchenette was awesome, and a fireplace so welcoming. Our family really enjoyed our time staying here going back and forth between rooms.
Best of all Trey, and Michelle from the breakfast buffet. They made sure everything was fresh and well stocked. Circulated around tables to be sure everyone was enjoying their breakfast or needed anything.
Most of all we enjoyed the mini Belgian waffles. Even the adults enjoyed that treat!

Great customer service from Michelle. Incredibly helpful and showed such compassion for our stay. Our pipes froze at our house forcing us to stay at hotel during the holidays. Michelle was so kind and generous ensuring we were all set up. Another worker Grace was also amazing.

Wonderful customer service... we've stayed here a few times before, but the service staff was really outstanding this time. Specifically the front desk & breakfast staff

We originally had a room booked at a quality inn down the road however, when we reached our room there it was there worst experience EVER. We called hawthorn and got 1 of the only 2 rooms available and the room was clean, staff was extremely friendly and helpful and accommodating to our family. We were very pleased. The kids enjoyed the pool for a little bit. We enjoyed our dinner at a close restaurant. We slept well. We will be back in the near future. Our worst experience turned out better in the end thanks to the staff at hawthorn.

Very professional and helpful staff, nice clean rooms and great facilities overall.I enjoyed my stay there.
