Applebee's Grill + Bar

After a fairly busy Saturday, we decided on a whim to dine at Applebee's for dinner, and were pleased that we did. We arrived in the late afternoon/early evening and we were seated immediately in the moderately crowded restaurant.

Our server was extremely pleasant, and brought our drinks promptly, and allowed us some time to choose from a varied menu.

For appetizers, we ordered Brew Pub Pretzels and Beer Cheese Dip, and a bowl of tomato basil soup. The former consisted of four soft and hot pretzel sticks with the dip and a side of delicious honey mustard sauce. There was plenty of dip available even after the pretzels were devoured. The soup was also delicious and highly recommended.

The main entrees were pretty good. The 4-cheese Mac and Cheese with honey pepper chicken strips was adequate, but somewhat bland. I had to really mix up the pasta, as all the cheese sauce rested at the very bottom, and I didn't even taste the pepper flavor on the strips, which had more batter than chicken. Once the pasta was tossed, cheese sauce was more pronounced and saved the meal otherwise.

The Oriental Grilled Chicken salad was decent, but unlike the pasta, was a tad salty. Strawberries were added, which fortunately offset the saltines, and again, turned out to be adequate. If there were a 3½ star rating, I would have chosen that.

Overall, the meal was decent, but some improvements could be made. We didn't regret our dining choice, but with a lot of competing restaurants in the immediate area, we probably won't visit again for a while.

Had a great lovely time. The host Timica was very nice, polite, and perfesonal. Once my family and I arrived into applebees she automatically stopped doing what she was doing and sat us down. She was very friendly she even introduced us to our waiter Cudty who also was very friendly and and professionally. It was a great time at Applebee's and the food plus drinks were delicious!!! Can't wait to come back.

During a business trip I ate there twice for dinner. The ribs were dry, but everything else was good. It was casually busy, but kinda quiet and peaceful. The staff was fantastic so please tip well.

We always have the royal treatment when we come in here. Our server Ashley was nothing short of amazing. We now ask to be seated in Ashley’s section whenever we visit. She really has a knack for making you feel like family everytime. I always enjoy the food and the company!!

This is our spot! Great food, wonderful staff, incredible atmosphere. They always seem to make the food just right, and we have had very little problems with the food service. The hosts/hostesses are always so kind and pleasant, and always go above and beyond to make our visit perfect! We're frequents for the late-night apps, and they never fail to taste just right. As I said before, this is our spot - our family go-to.

Extremely good service for being short staffed. Gillian was great. She was friendly and fast.
The manager here tonight was great. He knew they only has 2 servers and had some people wait before they were seated which was awesome. A manager that knew the ability of his wait staff. He was also serving tables as well.
This manager definately knows how to run this place.
Its very seldom that I see managers seat only what they can handle. By doing so the customer experience was great.

Always a great experience. The drinks are great, the food is always good, and the $1 margaritas are always my favorite. Nakyah is attentive and super sweet. Always great service!

Heard that catchy song 🎵 just came out the woods from camping w my husband. We stopped for lunch food was delicious, and what a surprise my nephew and girlfriend were working hard. So proud of those kids. Definitely will be eating more often

I was traveling and gave it a try. Can't say enough about the exceptional service!

Came in to enjoy the endless special that included boneless wings, riblets and shrimp.

The wings were nice and tender, and the riblets also had a nice tender bite without being to tough or chewy.

Overall, the experience was very good.

Updating this review a year later, because we went back to use a gift card. I gave it three stars before; it doesn't pretend to be fine dining and can't really compete with that. But for what it is, it does just fine.

And it earned those extra stars back today because the manager (?) was excellent at handling my food allergy, and very clearly could have handled any other dietary need equally well.

The food was good; I had shrimp fajitas, and my partner had all-you-can-eat fried shrimp. My portion was ample enough that I needed a box even though I'm stuffed. The dining area (bar zone) and ladies' room are clean, and our server was friendly and responsive.

Pretty good for a comfort-food chain, I'd say - and definitely worth updating my review to add a couple well-earned stars!

KY was an awesome and professional bartender. Excellent experience. 10 of 10, would return.

I enjoy coming here with family and friends. The servers are really nice, restaurant is clean,great drink specials and delicious food. We will definitely be back.

Went here because nothing in old forge opens until 4 on a Friday,
Was wonderful service, good food done right, good drinks and all where very pleasant and polite.
