This is quite literally my favorite cafe ever!! I’ve been coming here for almost two years now and have had a great experience every single time. I’m an online college student so I’m always looking for nice places to study and do work and this place is perfect. The drinks are the best I’ve ever had; I recommend the bear hug, honey mint, or lavender matcha whenever they come into season. I’m a sucker for their sweet ricotta toast, but I also love their pastries and avocado toast as well. This cafe is a must if you’re in the area!

First time visiting today - found through quick Google search. Great oat cappuccino 🙂 They have a lot of tables or you can sit at counter where baristas make coffee. I ended up at the counter bc it was lunchtime and pretty busy. There is free parking 12pm-2pm Monday through Friday on Main Street, too!! Thank you. 💜🙏

Love this cafe!! My go to order is a cappuccino with oatmilk, sweet ricotta toast, and avocado ricotta toast. The toasts are always done really great-- bread is soft, ricotta is creamy, both avocado and fruit are so delicious. Everything is made with care. Space is great to catch up with friends or do some work. Highly recommend!!

Stopped by on my way through on a business trip. This would totally be a place I could work and chill out in, great atmosphere! I ordered the specialty log cabin latte and the breakfast burrito with bacon. This was probably the best breakfast burrito I have ever had and the latte was delicious. I consider myself a coffee snob and this place did not disappoint. The staff were super helpful and friendly. If I am ever back in the area I will definitely be back!

I’ve now been here twice. The first visit I had the Earl Grey tea with blackberry sauce and oat milk. It is very subtle but delicious. I also shared a slice of their cranberry orange bread with my girlfriend. That was so good that when I went home, I decided I was going to try and duplicate it, which after two tries I still have not done.
Yesterday we visited again. This time I ordered their chai with oat milk. Their chai is a homemade concentrate. I was skeptical. It was absolutely delicious. A tiny bit too sweet but that had to be in the concentrate so there’s not much that can be done to alleviate that. It was still wonderful.
The atmosphere is nice. There’s a bar area around where they make the drinks which is cozy, and a few tables surrounding that. Then there’s a back room that has some seating. I personally think that the tables are too large back there and that with some smaller tables they could fit more guests. But overall it’s a wonderful little coffeehouse.
Just visited again today, February 9. Drinks were delicious. My girlfriend had a raspberry mocha said it was really good and we shared a slice of the avocado ricotta toast. That was wonderful.

Backyard Beans Coffee Co is such a beautiful coffee shop. Very open space with many places to sit. Around noon-time, many of the customers are working here on their laptops. Which says a lot when you have a packed place midday. It a mild day today and I sat outside in the alley next door to them.

The coffee is craft. I had a Cabin Latte and wow! The first sip of the warm foam sprinkled with smoked salt took me back to camping and the late-night campfires. The smokiness balanced well with maple syrup and ginger. Prices are reasonable compared to other cafes. I would recommend them.

This morning I visited Backyard Beans. There is plenty of parking in the lot shared with Round Table behind the cafe. The venue itself is clean and spacious. Despite the crowd of people, there was enough seating in the front and backrooms. The staff is extremely friendly and informative. My cappuccino was beautifully designed by the barista. I had a Danish strawberry cream cheese that was filling and delicious. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an enjoyable work/study space or date.

Selection is pretty limited and they seemed unable to make off menu (no macchiatos, no 2% milk), even if they had all the components. Parking is street only. Was disappointing to see so many large tables taken by individuals or pairs, forcing our family on to a small, high table (I suspect this is due to all the small tables being high). Drip coffee was good, not burnt, average strength, but not interesting. Baked selection was limited, but the muffin was great. Vanilla latte tasted weak to me, but fine for an "American style" latte.

5 stars as it is in the top 10% of coffee places in the general area.

The best coffee in Montgomery County. Their roasting process is magical and coffee is always smooth and exceeds my expectations. The food is out of this world (west main burrito) and their baked goods are amazing as well. Whenever I go to the Lansdale location I feel right at home with the LGBTQ community and always welcomed. I would give this place 10 stars if google would let me

I am fortunate enough that Backyard Beans is walking distance from me and it really is such a gem. The service, atmosphere, and food/drinks are all part of what makes going - be it for a date with one of my kids, time to work on my own, or picking up a quick drink - a positive addition to my day. I appreciate all the intentional decisions they seem to make behind the scenes around sustainability and competitive wages for staff. Every time I go still feels like a treat!

Best coffee place in town!! Coffee is great as well as the breakfast items. Nice selection of pastries too. Very clean, well planned space layout, bright and cheerful, wonderful staff. Indoor and outdoor seating. One of my favorite places!!

I don’t leave reviews often… if ever really, but I was so impressed that I felt almost obligated to come on here and leave one. If you live within 5 miles of here and have not ventured in to get a coffee or burrito you are truly missing out. Shamefully, I must admit, I live only a 4 minute walk from backyard beans and I’ve yet to go, that is until today. My wife and I frequent Dunkin’ and Starbucks - both of which we always say how overpriced and underwhelming it is, and I don’t think I could go back now.

Now that I’ve got the real readers on board - let me tell you… we both got cold brews with sweet cream, not only was it cheaper than Starbucks or Dunkin’ - but the coffee was incredible. It was smooth - delicious - the cream was velvety and flowed into the coffee almost magically. It was liquid goodness in its most basic form - yet surpassed almost every expectation I had by a lot. I also ordered a west main burrito, with pork sausage. This was actually hand made with real ingredients and was enough to feed 2 easily! Probably one of the best breakfast burritos I’ve had. It wasn’t just thrown in a microwave. Ive heard a ton about backyard and now I can firmly say - they live up to the hype. The staff was extremely friendly and the shop was warm and welcoming.

Don’t give your money to company’s that care less about you, and sell you an overpriced and underwhelming product, give your money to this local gem, that I am confident will surpass all of your expect by a lot.

I have been to Backyard many times and never get tired of visiting this place. As others have said, it is definitely a millennial/bougie place but you cannot beat their coffee. I love that this place exists right on Butler. Their sandwiches (breakfast and lunch) are all great and well thought out - more than just your standard B.E.C.

We only stopped in for coffee and tea today but the couple after us got two cappuccino "for here" that were both finished really nicely. They have an awesome plant wall that has over a hundred living plants on the wall. They also have awesome decor inside.

PRO TIP: Grab a bag of their beans while you are in the shop. They typically have a bigger selection that what you can find in Whole Foods.

If you are in the area and looking for a quick bite from a local spot, this is your place. They make all of their food to order but always have some great baked goodies on the counter. If you can deal with "millennial" vibes of this place, definitely check it out!

Need a place that has zen like music, minimalist but relaxing decor, great food and even better coffee this is a must try. Tucked away in Main street America (Lansdale, Pa), this suburban Philadelphia coffee strongly challenges any chain in the coffee industry. Sit back. Relax and enjoy a great sip of coffee.

Finally made it into this awesome coffee shop! It was pretty refreshing to overhear a couple staff talking to each other about how much they love their jobs here. Such good vibes compared to Starbucks and the other places that just aren't passionate about their craft. The owners are also very present and very passionate about quality and service. Apparently this place also serves beer, wine and cider after 2pm. Great place to stop in and get a drink or just meet some friends.

Loved this cafe. Great food, great staff! We had the salmon avocado toast, a meatless breakfast burrito, a matcha tea and literally the best dirty chai I've ever had. Definitely will come back here when in the area!

The cutest little coffee shop in Lansdale! Most of the time, I just get a plain black coffee here, and it's still delicious and full of flavor. When I got the seasonal pumpkin spice flavored latte, it was leaps and bounds better than the artificial-tasting lattes you get at chain coffee shops. The ambiance here is so warm and welcoming, such a great place to relax, read, get some work done, or meet up with a friend. And it's hard to resist buying some of their adorable llama-logoed swag. Love this spot!

If you haven’t visited BYB yet, you’re missing out! Their lattes, drip coffee, cold brew, ALL are amazing. Food and bakery items are also amazing. Their ricotta sweet toast is my go to and never disappoints. Perfect Lansdale spot! Thank you Backyard!
