When In Rome Pizzeria

I've loved this restaurant for years. The service is consistently amazing. They treat you like family and recognize repeat customers. But don't think they won't treat new ones the same exact way, they do. Everyone's family here! The food is some of the best you can get. The pizza is the BEST IN THE WHOLE VALLEY (Yes I've tried every pizzeria to actually know this). Everyone that works there is kind and courteous. If you have allergies or have special needs they'll try to accommodate you. Everything is here: Ice cream, beer, wine, pizza, spaghetti, salads, subs and gyros! (Pro tip: put her amazing spaghetti in your pizza it's SO GOOD)

The entire experience, from the moment we walked in at almost closing to when we finally left almost an hour later, was exceptional. The folks working there were so lovely, taking customer service to the next level. The pizza was incredible (we had the Lucky Lemon...I know how it sounds, but it was so good, I swear) and the Apple Walnut Salad was even eaten by a very picky small child in our party. The dessert was the moment I died and went to heaven though. The peanut butter pie is made with...wait for it... crumbled cookies as the crust! CRUMBLED COOKIES PEOPLE!! I'm not sure there's anything they could do wrong there.

Woah! Great pizza! Good prices! Amazing service, and family friendly! Will be back!

Unrivaled customer experience!

We were in the mood for a local Pizzeria, and came across this place in our search. I can not recommend this location enough!

The food was great! They serve pizza very similar to the style of New York style pizza, no deep dishes to be found. Their selection is pretty good for being a local establishment.

Where this location excels at is its customer service. Not only was the wait staff very polite and quick with any needs we may have had, they were also very engaging. If you are a person with soft sensibilities, this place may not be for you. Our waitress engaged us in banter, there was a lot of razzing and fun making back and forth. She engaged us about where we were from, what we were visiting, and even learned a bit about our lives while relating to us with her own. It didn’t feel overreaching because she made us feel so welcome. Even if the food was garbage, the customer service is reason enough to visit this location.

Throughout or trip to Montana (a total of 10 days through multiple states) I kept asking the kid’s (we had 6 with us) what their favorite part of the trip was and a key highlight was our waitress and the customer service of this location. Keeping in mind, we drove through the mountains, stayed in multiple campsites with amazing views, went to a water park, and visited multiple national parks on the trip.

We had just landed in Kalispell starving and wanted to have a quick pizza. Google maps suggested this place and we decided to go. It was the best decision we made that day. The thin crust pizza was amazing. We had some cheesecake too which was wonderful. Its a cozy little place with a world map for travelers to stick a pin for the location they belong to. We thought it was a great idea for inclusion. All in all, we loved our experience at When in Rome Pizzeria and would highly recommend it to anyone who is in the area.

I'm not even done eating my first slice, & I'm already writing a review! The Lucky Lemon pizza is the best food I've had from a restaurant in years!! I added Italian sausage & kalamata olives. It's fresh & delicious!!

Amazing pizza!! The owner was friendly and of good humor. Also enjoyed our waiter.
Sorry I didn't catch either of their names. Sad to hear they will be closing at the end of Dec/22; due to staff shortage. Such a shame!

I highly recommend! The pizza and bread sticks were delicious, and as other reviews have said, the customer service is Great! The cinnamon rolls were also wonderful!
Price were also very reasonable.

This was our first time having When In Rome, after several friends highly recommending it, and it did not disappoint! We will MOST DEFINITELY be ordering again in the future! PLEASE NOTE: If you order delivery... call the restaurant and order DIRECTLY through them, not via a delivery service online or via app. [I had not realized they had their own drivers and learned the hard way.] After our pizza was an hour late [2 miles away, 7 minute estimate!] I did call W.I.R. to check in, after trying to reach the driver several times with no success. Even tho it was nearly an hour after they closed at that point, they phoned me back nearly immediately and were wonderful, which was so appreciated and will make me a customer for life. However, they did share their continued frustration with this particular driver, who has had several complaints against her. We reheated in the oven, as it was delivered completely cold. I did followup with the delivery service and provided feedback to them, and made it very clear that we were VERY PLEASED with When In Rome, that the complaint is completely delivery-based. So, long story short, the pizza was DELICIOUS [2 different kinds],their service was excellent, and When in Rome is now one of our favorite local pizza places! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Food was delicious. Very thin and crispy crust with great blend of cheeses. Salad was amazing too. One of the greater pizzas I have had in a while! The service was also great. The staff was very kind and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place!

From someone whos visited Rome, this is some of the Absolute best pizza this side of the Atlantic!!! The love put into each pie is easily tasted with every bite!!! This is easily found and understood once youll meet and exchange a few words with the family that runs it, If you havent stop in "When in Rome" !!!

Awesome homemade food, gyros are great, they taste exactly like my middle Eastern step dad would make.
Pizza was great with every bite. Cashier is super nice likes to talk and will be very helpful if you're not familiar with the menu!

This may have been the best pizza I've had in a while.
I like pizza but usually stick to the big names and don't go to pizza restaurants as the "designer" pizzas that I do come across don't appeal to me.

What I really appreciated was the experience, as we were visiting Kalispell and didn't have much information on it we talked to the lady who was working there and she was very helpful and gave us some good directions and answered all the questions we had. On top of that I had my 2 small children with me and she was very friendly with them as well.

The food was awesome, so good my daughter who rarely eats a fraction of her meals ate the whole slice of pizza we ordered her and was cooked and on the table before we had a chance to question where it was, which for me and having 2 active children is a huge plus.

Awesome experience and food, would definitely recommend it as well as revisit here again.

We were vacationing at Glacier National Park and stopped in for dinner on our way out of town. Best pizza we’ve had in a long while! We love pizza and tend to be pizza snobs so it’s kind of a big deal when we find pizza this good. Whole wheat crust was delicious and the service was friendly and fast!

There are many great options for pizza in the Flathead Valley of Montana, but When in Rome might take the cake for best pizza.

The crust is amazing, I think they use a whole wheat crust.. its thin, its fresh, with the perfect balance between crispiness and softness.

I would say the "Best Ever" is the show stopper on the menu ("That thing will melt in yo mouth!"), the Sun Mountain is excellent too. All toppings are excellent, I would say the chicken has some room for improvement, though.

Its great pizza, however the environment is a little awkward. I would definitely recommend taking the pizza to go!

Absolutely fantastic pizza. You can sit in a dark room with sawdust on the floor and pay more, but why? It's dynamite pizza in Kalispell, with a delicious crust, for a great price. Anyone tells you different is selling something.

**Update** We've been coming here in the two years since my first review, and it is still our favorite place in the valley to get pizza. No, it's not your typical pizza, which is exactly why we love it. Don't come here expecting a deep dish pizza. It's the best thin, crispy, foldable pizza I've ever had. They also have amazing salads (try the Greek salad with gyro meat, my favorite) and a turkey avocado club sandwich that's wonderful. The family that owns it are so kind and I love chatting with them every time we go in. Please go give this little place some love if you're in Kalispell!

Such a great place for pizza! I am staying in the area for a Glacier National Park trip, and this place was the first in Kalispell that I’ve been to. The pizza was fantastic as well as the salad! The service was fantastic and the staff was super friendly! Will happily go back if I’m ever in the area again!

The gyros, pizza, and desserts are always delicious. The staff are always attentive and kind and we we have always been served immediately. I have now visited When in Rome five times and my experience has been consistent. Highly recommended!!

I knew nothing about this place before I came here, but I was blown away, and I'm honestly jealous that we don't live here and can't eat here all the time. Fresh ingredients. Nice flavor combinations. Excellent crust. We got the Lucky Lemon and the Capricciosa; both were wonderful. Also, sweet family-owned operation. Will certainly return the next time we're in Kalispell.
