We used Creative Contracting to fully finish our basement and add living space in 2022. The scope of work included the following:
- installing a full bathroom
- adding a bedroom with an egress window
- creating an office nook
- creating a multi-purpose space and an exercise room

Working with Creative on the design of the space was a pleasant experience. We were very impressed with the various design layouts they presented to us, which demonstrated unique and efficient use of the space. We are visual people so this was a very important part of the process and the drawings/renderings they provided gave us a really good sense of how the space would feel before the work started.

Bob and Kim were very helpful when it came to material selections. Kim set aside time to walk us through their preferred supplier show room so we could select all the materials we needed for the bathroom. She also helped us make paint selections for the finished spaces.

When it came to construction, I thought their carpenters were fantastic and friendly to work with, especially Jeff. Their subcontractors for electrical and plumbing were great as well and I thought their tile installer was incredibly skilled.

Considering the scope of the project and the many trades involved, having consistent communication and well-defined schedules was very important. Rich was very helpful in establishing that schedule to keep the project running on time with minimal interruptions and promptly addressing any concerns we had.

In the end, the project substantially increased the living space in our home and gave us the space we needed for a home office, guest space and a multi-purpose area for our children to play in. We are very happy with how it turned out.

We have used Creative Contracting for 3 major projects over the past 15 years - our kitchen, powder room, laundry room, master bath and family room. Their work is exceptional. Bob and his team stay with the project until completion. If there are any unforeseen issues they inform the client of them immediately and work to a resolution. Kim is wonderful to work with on design and material selection. We receive so many compliments on their work. We love the end product. Our home is warm and welcoming and the design stands the test of time. We recommend them without reservation.

We have been using Creative Contracting for years, so we knew the quality and professionalism we were getting when undertaking this project, but I'm not sure there are many contractors out there who could have pulled this project off - from conception, architecture, all the way down to the final details to make this room the new favorite room in the house. (Did I even mention the awesome sunset scene on the walls?)

Bob and his entire team is highly professional and their main goal is to keep customer happy. I had negotiated a very big room addition contract with Creative Contracting and job was completed in time. The site and interior was cleaned out such that we can move in the next day. In the beginning design team gave me many suggestions with pros and cons and together we came up with final design that satisfied all my requirements. The construction team and sub contractors exceeded my expectations. Specially the foreman assigned to our project showed up everyday and gave me the updates. His attentions to details saved many unforeseen situation. In the end I would say, little extra money but that little resulted into many value added finishing for our benefits.

We had two bathrooms done and Bob, Rich, Phil, Kim & Laylee designed, presented and executed exactly what we wanted. Projects were well done, on time and within the established budget. They also made sure all was done to our liking (it was) and we would not hesitate to recommend Creative Contracting for anyone's project.

Our experiences with Bob DuBree and the entire Creative Contracting team for multiple home improvement projects over a span of over 1 year (Nov 2016 - Mar 2018) have been nothing short of excellent. We were referred to Creative Contracting by friends that were highly satisfied with their new addition. We were further drawn in by the "Design/Build" experience that did not require an external architect, which made the entire process easy and more affordable. For all of our projects (a large addition, a kitchen remodel, and new windows and shutters for the whole house), the Creative Contracting team was professional, courteous, clean, timely, and skilled, including their trusted subcontractors. Their focus on customer satisfaction was evident not only by promptly addressing any errors (expected with ANY large project), but also in their unexpected generosity reworking a few things that we ended up not liking that weren't even their fault. I will continue to recommend Creative Contracting to all of my friends, neighbors, and family.

Our first job with Bob Dubree and his crew was in 1996 when he finished our basement in our townhome. The job was done in time and within budget. Bob worked with us to provide solutions to some interesting requests that we had made. We agreed that any future projects would include a quote from Creative Contracting. We have done some smaller projects since that time, and most recently we replaced a very large leaking skylight in the kitchen area. Bob provided a quote and we agreed to move forward with the project. Bob introduced us to his foreman Andrew and we discussed the proposed timeline. As with any project there were some minor issues, but we were really impressed with how these issues were addressed.

We were very impressed with the crew, especially the communication that was provided during the process. Andrew is top notch. Even though we know he had other jobs that were way more involved than our skylight, he made us feel as if this was his top priority. He communicated with us daily, either by text or phone call and if we had a question or concern, he was quick to respond. When we had the leak the following day, he was honest in explaining what had happened and we appreciated understanding the process. Communication goes a long way in satisfying your customers!

DJ was a pleasure to meet. He was hard working and willing to do anything necessary to assist in getting the job done. Adam is a very kind and very caring individual. On the day the job started, I stayed home for 1/2 a day and was in the other room. I could hear Adam explaining to DJ what they were doing, why they were doing it and how they would do it. It was the best example of someone teaching his craft to an apprentice with such patience. I made sure to compliment them both, but especially Adam, he really worked hard at teaching DJ while getting the job done right. I was very impressed.

The crew went out of their way to make sure the job was done right and worked with our schedule to make it happen. We will continue to recommend Creative Contracting to everyone we meet. Thank you.

I've had Creative Contracting complete major renovations on two separate homes. The fist was a kitchen, family room and half bath in 2001. The design ques initiated by Bob and carried out by his team were timeless and enabled us to sell the home in just over a week in 2015. The second home was the house my parents had built in the late 70s, and included combining the kitchen and dining room with a new layout for all the appliances, relocating and removing walls, new flooring on the entire fist floor, major reworking in electrical and plumbing, new construction windows and doors and completely residing the entire house. It was a very aggressive timeline to complete, as we wanted to move in with ample time to acclimate before school started for our kids. Everything was completed in time and any issues that arose were dealt with promptly.

I worked with Bob and his team at Creative Contracting and I had a great experience with them. They worked on my finished basement with a full bath and storage areas it turned out beautifully. They were great to work with and on time and conscious of cleaning things up at the end of the day. I would definitely recommend them to others.
