Classic Game Junkie

Let me preface this by saying I have been to dozens of game stores across the country, from Burbank, California to Salem, New Hampshire. This is hands down one of the best I've ever been to.
Now the prices are about on par with what you can find on eBay, occasionally a bit cheaper, But this place has an amazing atmosphere.
A massive selection of games from Atari 2600 to PS5 all neatly and alphabetically organized in a fairly spacious building, decorated with consoles, accessories, and other knick-knacks, it was amazing.
They have a huge selection of games, I managed to find 2 different ports of some of my favorite games that I didn't even know existed.
Not to mention the neighboring arcade which really just seals the deal of this place. The sounds in the store are faint enough to just add to the atmosphere, but not overwhelm you or make it hard to speak to the friendly staff. The cabinets they had were great, they had a cabinet for The House Of The Dead which was like new!
Quite honestly I can't think of a single store in the Tri-State area that holds a candle to this place, I'm hard pressed to even think of a game store in the country in the country that's as good as here.
This place is 1 hour 30 minute trip from where I live, but this will be my go to retro game store from now on and I doubt I'll regret it.

As a lifelong gamer who enjoys both retro and modern games, this place is absolutely perfect! The addition of the adjacent Retroware Arcade is the icing on the cake. This is a Mecca for both casual and hardcore video gamers of all ages. Their store layout is incredible, the ambiance is spectacular, and their customer service eclipses anything you'll find in those big box stores. If it's a wide selection of quality gaming items at a reasonable price you're seeking, look no further. Highly recommended!

I'm from England and I love visiting retro game stores whenever I'm in the USA. This place is one of the best I've found with some really rare pieces. Gutted I didn't have time to visit the store in central because it sounds like it has even more treasures.

One of the games I purchased unfortunately had a disc missing. I didn't have time to return to the store as I had to run and catch my flight. I messaged their facebook account and the owner went above and beyond to ship the missing disc back to me in the UK!

Amazing service, 10/10!

Been here several times when visiting from out of town and loved every single one. Friendly, knowledgeable staff (if one employee can't answer your specific question then there's a good chance another one can) and competitive prices make this store the one to beat when it comes to the overall retro gaming experience (They even cleaned my purchased SNES and PS1 games while I waited). All this and $15 for all day access to the very well-stocked video arcade makes for a destination worth making the trip for.

Classic Game Junkie is a family favorite! The service is exemplary. We recently had my son's 3DS repaired. They were very conscientious, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was working properly. Everyone has always been friendly, and they take the time to connect with their customers. Highly recommended!

I usually go to the Glenside store due to distance, but when I heard they opened the Lansdale location, I had to go. Needless to say, I'm even more impressed with the Lansdale location. The wide array of cartridge and disc games is astounding. The organization of stands in alphabetical order makes it easier to navigate. I enjoy the cleaning services they offer for cartridge and disc games. Everything is reasonably priced.

Frank, one of the console technicians, took time out to speak with me about Game Boy modifications. He showed me different options, models, and explained the process of how he goes about customizing each one. To have a great inventory is nice, but to have reliable, professional staff is to be on a different level of excellence. I will be returning to this store.

This place is amazing! I’ve been to both the Glenside and Lansdale Store. They have an amazing selections and super helpful staff.

Between both stores, Lansdale is way easier to navigate. Everything is laid out really well, making the games easier to find. Their selection is also incredible. They had multiple rare games that I’d been searching years for! To top it off, the arcade adds a different element of fun! I’ll definitely be going back!

Going into Game Junkie is always a huge wave of nostalgia as soon as you walk in! , Me and my buddy needed a SSD for PS5, Frank helped us a great one in our price range and even installed it as well. If your a fan of classics, cool figures and other Vintage game items. I would not sleep on them!

They have a great selection of games/consoles! Also, there is a cool area to play games on other side of store. Would recommend stopping by if you are looking for used video games.

I've been to this place a few times. The store layout is nice and having the arcade attached with a cool games makes it a nice play to chill for a few hours as well. Store is well stocked with various games/consoles so it's fun to browse.

Stopped by a few weeks ago with my boyfriend for the first time. It was a lot of fun and I thought $15 to play in their arcade all day is definitely not a bad price at all. I can't wait to come back!

I really enjoy coming to this store the staff is always nice and very knowledgeable. They also have a great selection of games if your looking for something that's new or retro you can find it here and the selection of arcade games are great too.

Along with their Glenside location, CGJ has always been my favorite retro store to shop at for any needs. No matter what I walk out with, I always walk about with a smile on my face. Fantastic work!

Great place to bring a bunch friends to play some arcade then get some pizza across the street with some beer and call it a day. Game prices are very fair especially for retro games.

One of my top favorite game store, they have everything you can think of and then some. Fair prices for both buying and selling. Frank and Justin are very knowledgeable and extremely helpful finding what you need and want.

Been going to Classic Game Junkie Glenside for years! So glad they opened up a new location with even more games you can ever want! The owner and workers are very friendly always willing to help. Plus they have good prices. On top of all that this new place even has an ARCADE! What more could you want. Was at the grand opening yesterday and it was a great time! They really put on a great event! If you ever have the time be sure to stop on by!

Great shop with super friendly employees and a great selection of goods including some rare items. It is obvious when you walk in the door that they value the gaming community and want to be a part of Lansdale. The obvious choice for buying, selling, or even repairs. I bought TotK collector's edition, and a partial collector's edition of Persona 5 Royale here for reduced price due to them evaluating the value of the set while missing parts which I thought was really cool.
