Nice clean establishment. Friendly staff. I didn't expect bar food to taste this good. I'm not calling this a bar, more like a small restaurant with a bar. Excellent flavors. Broccoli flavored excellent, scalloped potatoes flavored excellent and lemon pepper chicken flavored excellent 👌🏾 I seen them serving someone fish and chips and that fish was huge. Definitely must return to try the rest of the menu 😁🙌🏾

I drove from Dayton to meet an old friend at the bar where we ordered drinks and dinner. I got the New Fashioned cocktail and was pleasantly impressed. The bartender was fantastic, such a huge and welcoming personality. Loved hearing him talk woth the locals about curating the bar menu. It was so nice to hear that a creative was in control of the menu rather than a corporation.
I also ordered the special that night which was Ribeye Steak Bites, and they were fantastic. I would absolutly visit here again.
However, being in hoodies and jeans, we were a little dressed down for the atmosphere. We should have been in polos at the least.

Definitely a five star, food was delicious and the manager Andrea was super friendly. I felt like I knew her forever and Kayla the waitress was fabulous too. Definitely took good care of us. A bonus the 70's music. Thanks for a wonderful evening at your restaurant.

Enjoyed this place while staying at Buckeye Lake. Dinner was good, had the stroganoff as recommended, delicious. Gave this place 4 stars because my wife's seafood pasta wasn't all that great, and it took some time to get our bill. Great location and atmosphere, would go back.

Nice addition to the Buckeye Lake area. I will definitely look forward to returning. I tried the Tuna & Drunken Clam appetizers and both looked and tasted picture perfect. The beef for the Steak and Cheeseburger were fresh delicious meats that you don't see all of the time. The drink menu was excellent with the local craft beers & the amazing Blue Heron cocktail. The inside was clean and a very comfortable environment.

Excellent experience. Paige took care of us and was awesome. The salmon is exquisite, and my wife loved her pear salad. This is going to be a new place to frequent. Highly recommend!!

After playing golf Saturday we decided to stop for dinner and so glad we did! My husband and I had the fish and chips and bang bang shrimp as an appetizer! Both were fantastic!
Kayla was our waitress and a delight to meet! She took excellent care of us and was very nice and attentive! My husband took peanut butter pie to go and devoured it! We’ll definitely be back!

This place is awesome! Nate was great, and the Crab Pimento Cheese dip was the most delicious dip I've ever had in my life! It is a little "echo"-y, though. Maybe some carpet? Also, prices are reasonable for most dishes, other than the Filet, which I'm told is a secret recipe...

Everything about this place is top notch. First time visiting Blue Heron. Fish and chips are amazing. Lobster bisque very good and the wedge salad with home made blue cheese dressing ! YUMMY! Will definitely be back.

First time coming here and it exceeded expectations! Food was delicious and well priced, drinks were fun and yum! Atmosphere was very clean yet cozy! Will return. Always a pleasure to be served by NATE THE GREAT !!!!

We were there on Sat Dec 2 after the Buckeye Lake Christmas parade. The service was great and the food was fantastic. We split a salad with salmon and fish & chips dinner. Cozy atmosphere, very friendly and welcoming.

OMG..fantastic dinner tonight. Meatballs were full of flavor, shrimp had just enough spice to give great flavor, chicken fingers were a meal in itself, perfect breading on the fingers. Thats just the appetizers. Not enough room to brag about the main entrees of salmon and fish pasta. Great dinner tonight, worth every penny. Thank you.

This place has great food, great service and the bartender Nathan is one of the best bartenders I've came across. His cocktail menu that he came up with is phenomenal. I would definitely give this place a try.

Service was friendly and quick. Karla was very helpful. Portions were large and well presented. I had the fish and chips with an insanely large piece of fish and exquisitely seasoned "chips". Even cooled, the fries were delicious. Missing was vinegar. My spouse had seafood pasta which was very tasty and not overwhelming in seafood flavor. Missing on the menu were side salads. Good beer and wine selection. Unlike too many restaurants, the temperature was not chillingly cold. The internal nautical theme was a bit sparse. We'll make the Blue Heron a regular dining spot.

We ordered 2 appetizers, 3 meals and 2 desserts. I didn't care for the coleslaw. I'm really picky about coleslaw so that doesn't surprise me. The fish & chips were good. I could only eat half because of the huge portion. My husband liked the lobster bisque and my son liked the seafood pasta. Great service. We would definitely go back.

Had a stellar first experience. Restaurant was super busy, but staff were friendly and knowledgeable and we had great service. Food was amazing, everyone at our table had something different, Crab Bisque, Walnut and Pear salad, fish and chips, salmon. Everything was amazing, flavorful, and well cooked. We had the crab pimento dip for an appetizer and wish we would’ve ordered 2, it was that good. Drinks were also great, the blue heron is unique, fun, and a pretty drink! We’ve already made another reservation to return!

We had dinner Friday evening and was able to be seated without a reservation. Our waitress was excellent and attentive. I can’t say enough about how good the fish & chips tasted! My husband enjoyed the spicy chicken sandwich. They have fresh brewed ice tea too! Clean, welcoming atmosphere. Thanks Martina for bringing a new dining option to the area!

We’ve been here several times. Nate the bartender is amazing. Parking is great. Best Ahi Tuna I’ve had in the last 100 restaurants. It’s absolutely the best. The setting, decor, atmosphere…. It’s the best! To the owners, don't change a thing! Kelp on doing what you are doing.

This place is such a gem! Great food, fantastic service, beautiful atmosphere. The husband and I have been saying for a long time that Buckeye Lake needs more places that serve something besides bar food. It’s nice to have good, Columbus-quality food in a locally owned, small town restaurant.

This gem at the lake is simply amazing. The seafood pasta is an absolute must have. The pasta is freshly made and the portion size is perfect. Everyone in our party had something different and everyone left raving about their meal. The general manager visited our table and was very welcoming. I wish I could give them 10 stars!
