Bistecca Steakhouse & Wine Bar

My favorite steakhouse in the Pgh area never disappoints. Chef's special bone-in ribeye with grilled shrimp and loaded mashed potatoes. YES, YES, and YES.
I recommend a side of the delicious homemade horseradish cream, perfect.
The wedge salad pairs well with this entree. Excellent blue cheese dressing.
I had leftovers for two days!

UPDATE (03/08/24) - The chef was remarkable in the Lenten special of Cajun Chilean Sea Bass topped with 2 Scallops in a Cajun cream sauce! 10/10!! We got an excellent shrimp cocktail appetizer with shrimp bigger than I’ve ever seen! Great evening topped off for me with my wife getting an espresso martini, and me simple scoops of ice cream 🤓 Our wait Ben was phenomenal!

UPDATE (10/10/23) - Their halibut is still AMAZING and sides are good too. My wife and I love the atmosphere and service here especially having a table by the racetrack window this time around! Excellent service, food, and dessert!

My wife and I took our son there for a nice meal. Staff was very fast and courteous. We loved our food. She got the sea bass, I got the lamb. Our son got basic kids food but the fries portion was HUGE (enough to share w/ mom & dad) Overall great time and experience. No issues.

Proposed to my wife here years ago and it was immaculate. Service on point. They put the ring in her champagne, yep that's how we do. Amazing time, great food and lasting memories. Treat yourself when you get a chance and you won't be disappointed.

Wish I could give 10 stars. Lyric our server was fantastic. The food was delicious. The filet was melt in your mouth good. The peanut butter mousse was fabulous. It was a great girls night out.

Matt our bartender was excellent! I had a Cosmo and it's delicious. Dinner was wonderful as well! Crab cakes are the best they come and the steak is amazing. Will be back for another date ❤

Our waiter was wonderful and able to provide excellent suggestions. The restaurant is lovely and the staff as well. The food was also perfect. I ordered the 10oz Filet and it was cooked to perfection with minimal seasoning (butter, garlic, salt, pepper) to allow the natural taste of the meat to really shine. Will definitely be coming back!!

Location: it's located towards the back of the casino. The security were helpful in providing directions. There is elevator access if stairs are difficult.

Prices: the prices have changed since the last menu photo I saw posted (someones review from 1yr ago). Cocktails are $13, Crab Bisque was $14, Crab Cake $29, and the Filet Mignon 7oz $45 or 10oz $55. Side dishes were $9-15

The food. Was. EVERYTHING! We were in from out of state and decided to stay at the casino for the night. Dinner upstairs at Bistecca was so perfect. Our server was super fun and helped us make decisions regarding food. We ate:

Pork Chops
Dinner special (I can't remember what it was!)
Mashed Potatoes

Obviously that's quite a bit of food (there were 4 of us) and the pre-tip total was $379.82. For that amount of food and drinks I think it was very reasonable! We would definitely go again if we're passing through the area.

Bistecca is our GO-TO steakhouse for special occasions. The food is AMAZING (you can see pics of blackened scallops, crab cake, salmon Oscar and Lamp Chops attached to my review), but the service is also 5-star FANTASTIC! Make a reservation, ask for Byron, and get ready to be blown away by THE best dining experience in SW PA!

This steakhouse was outstanding. Courtney was our server and she was fantastic. I had the lobester bisque, the salmon and brussel spouts. The portion was huge smothered in crab meat and sauce.

I got the 7 Oz filet, baked potato, and wine. Bread. My companion got beer, salad, chicken, and loaded baked potato. We'll definitely visit again and try more food! Sit by the window. Nice view. Will be more exciting with the races.

Went for a birthday celebration and had a good time. The food was prepared very well, the selection and choices are available, and the wine list was quite extensive.

The only negative was the overly haughty waiter. He tried pushing us to order sooner than we were ready to. After his third visit within the first ten minutes of sitting down, we sent him off with an appetizer order, and after that ignored him until we were ready. Charlie needs some remedial training.

Our enjoyment of the food was not marred by Charlie.

Benjamin has to be one of the best servers I’ve ever had. My wife had the salmon and ordered an espresso martini that he had made specific to her request. She said it was the best martini she ever had. The steak was cooked perfect. Lobster tail was perfect. 🙌🏻

The staff was amazing and helped get every thing ready for our surprise birthday dinner. The food and drinks were exceptional and were made to perfection. Definitely worth the dining experience.

Have been eating here for a few years. Service is always great. The food is very good. Love the view of the entire track. Highly recommend the oysters and the fries. Yes, you must try the fries.

First time in a 5-star restaurant. It was a pleasant atmosphere. We sat by the window, which would have been a perfect view of the track had there been races. We came on a Thursday. It wasn't very crowded. Low lite with candles. I ordered the lobster tails, a salad, and a pear martini. The salad wasn't too impressive to me. Basically, a partial head of lettuce with dressing and cheese over top with a few slices of onion and some cherry tomatoes on the side. The lobster was very good, as well as the drink. I enjoyed myself. Pricey of course, but to be expected.

We are visiting from Florida and being in the Pittsburgh area has been a lot of fun. This restaurant is on the top floor of a casino, where we played the slots first. Lots of fun and then reservations upstairs. The food, the service, and the atmosphere were all very nice. Our meals were very tasty and the service could not have been better.

We have been here several times. We always ask for server Courtney. She is the best waitress we have ever had and we frequent higher end restaurants. She is attentive, knows the menu, pleasant, and very hard working. Bistecca is lucky to have someone who is so dedicated to her work and promotes a positive attitude. The food is always great here. But, we can get a good steak a lot of places. Courtney is the reason we return. Kudos Bistecca for having a server who obviously cares about the business and the clients as well!

This restaurant ambiance was breathtaking. The servers get a 5! The food was delicious. The flavor, texture and temperature were PERFECT. Ordered the 12oz filet and mashed potatoes.

Surprised me with a raspberry chocolate mousse. Best birthday dinner I could have had. This was a re-do for me since my actual birthday dinner was destroyed! I am a customer for life!

This place makes some good steak, and nice fresh seafood. Great place to go if you live south of Pittsburgh and want to avoid the city for a night. Definitely worth a try, and you have access to a casino and horse races
