Freddy's Pub LLC

I've been coming to Freddy's Pub for three weeks now and it really has to be the best bar in town. I hope to see the place stay as clean and "wholesome" as I see it now. I use "wholesome" loosely as it *is* still a small-town bar and you never know who might walk in. However, this is not an establishment that holds tolerance towards drugs, fighting , solicitation or excessive drama. I find this to be very respectable, considering most other local bars.

The owner is a good man and has a great team of tenders under him who take care of their patrons as well as the facility itself. There's no need to be shy here, either. The regular crowd as well as the bartenders are all pretty accepting, nice people but, as aforementioned, they won't put up with dramatic nonsense. You can expect to be greeted with a smile and a hello when you walk into Freddy's. This is the kind of place that attracts friendly, outgoing people. The restrooms are rather small, but are always kept clean and tidy.

The selection of alcohol is pretty decent. They carry: a wide variety of whiskeys [American, Canadian and Bourbons], vodkas and beer [bottled and tap]; a moderate selection of rum, and liqueurs; and a small selection of gin and wine. With all there is to choose from, finding your taste should be no problem. You can order 6-packs of beer to go.

They serve food! Food from the restaurant may be ordered between 4pm and 8pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The food is okay - "typical bar food". The small window of service (12 hours per week) is due to the fact that there is no one willing *and* able to manage the restaurant all week long, currently. Perhaps that may change one day, should someone qualified offer a fair proposition.

There are a number of different forms of entertainment offered at Freddy's Pub. Firstly, there are 9 television sets around the bar, as well as another one in the dining area in the back. The remote controls for them are usually scattered about the bar for anyone to utilize. There are also two separate TouchTunes® jukeboxes that are often used by both patrons and staff. Two pool tables can be found in the back corner room. These do not seem to see much traffic during the weekdays. Also, there are a few electronic touchscreen game stations along the wall in the main bar area. Lastly, Friday and Saturday are karaoke nights at Freddy's Pub! Go show off your voice or just enjoy the singing of others! Either way, the crowd for each of these days is usually pretty large so you're bound to have a good time.

That's about all I can say about Freddy's Pub in Tamaqua. It's a great place to let loose after a 'Hard Day's Night' and you'll probably end up sharing a laugh or two at some point. So, if you're looking for a great place to go for a drink and a smile, this is certainly your spot!

Welcoming dive bar with a great atmosphere! If you're visiting during the Eagles game, you'll be expected to root for the home team - and rewarded with free green shots when they score! The locals hang here and are very welcoming! Had a great visit and will surely be back for more.

Great food, tasty and reasonable prices. Open 7-3 weekdays 24 hours weekends!
Along with the printed menu, they are now serving creamed chipped beef on toast, aka SOS. VERY GOOD!

Friendly, fun and good times! Everybody was so friendly to Frank and myself. Great music is always playing on the "juke box". Good food, great drink prices and a fun crowd keep us coming back week after week.

This place is always packed! Everyone seems to either start out here or ends up here before the night is through. There are several rooms, each setting a different kind of mood. The location is smack dab right in the heart of town. There is often live entertainment. Great prices on their food and drink menu and super positive ions vibes from their staff!

In not a bar person...but something bout this place works.

Nice stop in the heart of Tamaqua,friendly patrons & bartender. Kitchen opens at 4pm,nice bar food specials. I will be stopping again.

Tamaquas local watering hole. The other bars in town do not compair to this one. They always have things going on worth stopping by for. Go there and enjoy.

The draft beer was super cold which I like not to mention the best bartenders in that part of Pa and a great atmosphere!

Loved the Live music. Fish Pizza was a Great New Rock Band.
