Nice trail. Someone or some folks keep the trimmedback nicely. It was dry so no need for the 2 track boards but the longer boarded one was really well built...i.e., no bounce in it like the older ones. Be very careful of the tree roots and rock shale because the falling leaves are covering it all. We did out and back for a total of 3.4 miles. Plan on going back soon.

Very clean and well maintained trailer. Surface does is uneven in some spots due to root structures and rocky paths.

Beautiful water views, access to water side, small bridges to cross. There are wooden paths laid down for when the ground does get soggy. Dogs allowed.

Friendly reminder:

Pick up your trash. It's rude not too and makes you look like a knob head.

Muddy at times so watch the weather some nice access to the lake along the path. It ends on the main road so be very careful if going the whole way with pets and or children.

Advantages:
Canada geese, river otters and eastern box turtles are common sights. Many access points to get close to the water. Trail is very easy to hike. Includes a cemetery with some very early burials.

Disadvantages:
Requires crossing a bridge with high speed traffic. Can be muddy. Narrow in some spots with various plant hindrances with some poison ivy.

Unfortunately we went during hunting season and were not prepared with orange gear, so we didn't walk too far. The rocky beach area along the lake was gorgeous, and the rock formations are really a must see.

Nice trail around Lake Marburg. Often very muddy for the first 1/4 mile.
