White Rose Bar & Grill

Wow, we found a new spot. Love everything about here! Staff, atmosphere, food, and drinks! We have been here twice now. The first time, just 3 of us last night, a gamily of 8, and both were great experiences. Public parking is right next to it and outdoor seating for nice days or nights. We like the indoor patio/glass room. It's definitely worth trying. We will be back!

Loved everything about this place, a little pricey but you get what you paid for! Center of York, prepare to pay for street parking. Atmosphere was welcoming as well as the service. I'll be back!

We love White Rose, especially their bar in the 'back' of the place! The Tuesday marg & taco deal is unbeatable. Drinks are a good value always, especially the fishbowl cocktails. The food we've had is great as well! The decor is quite nice with a steampunk bar and paintings of local hotspots.

We had a large party of teenage volleyball girls and they took care of us without a problem! Service was spot on and didn’t have to wait long at all for our dinner. Great atmosphere and very cool design.

Definitely coming back here. We had Ryan as our waiter, he was excellent. My salad and clams were perfect. The Buffalo wings for an appetizer were large nice wings with great flavor. We were here before 6pm on a Saturday, so not too busy. We ate inside, but there is outdoor seating as well.

My wife has been wanting to eat here since we moved to York, so I finally brought her here for her birthday. Our waitress was polite and prompt, food came surprisingly quickly for a Friday evening @ 7pm, and was great! Very comparable with Texas Roadhouse in my opinion although White Rose food may be slightly better.. nice little atmosphere in the back great for a date or the family. Great that it’s right down the street in the city. Will be back!

Wandered in, sat at the bar. Bartender was attentive and working really hard. The whole place ran really smoothly, obvious teamwork among the staff.

Fair prices for such good quality. Full bar and cool tap choices.

Crab cakes had plenty of lump, broccoli was still a little crunchy ... just right! Clams were good with the ghee, fried shrimp was epic ... but the homemade hummus stole the show, so fresh but still flavorful. Great between heavy dishes.

Desserts were all great, huge portions for straight up cheap.

Seeing that this is currently a 3.5 rating is bewildering to me. We stopped at White Rose on our way back to the Poconos from Washington DC and a quick internet search brought up some food that looked excellent so we figured we had to stop. In the mood for burgers and wings made for a perfect reason to come here, and they did not disappoint one bit.

First of all....FIRST OF ALL, let me talk to you about this drink. So I typically try to order things that are low/no calorie for my beverage and it is usually water, coke zero, unsweetened tea are my options. So our server (who I believe was also the bartender in our section) said they have some flavored unsweetened teas. Now I'm intrigued and she lists off a few flavors. Something about the unsweetened strawberry tea screamed order me, so I did just that. And then a few minutes later had another one. Wow. I believe she was just using a sugar free Monin syrup but this tea had a such a great flavor to it and actually tasted like strawberry. Not the essence of strawberry, not a hint of strawberry, but actual strawberry. It was fantastic.

If I haven't mentioned already, this place is massive. There are at least 3-4 separate dining rooms inside as well as at least 2 outdoor dining areas that were closed in (I'm guessing because of the change in temperature and weather) with basically just big tents with windows.

We started with some wings. Wanted to go pretty basic so we just went with medium buffalo and we got a ranch and a bleu cheese. The wings were large but also had a nice crispiness to the outside of them. The interior meat was still very moist and overall the wing was cooked perfectly. No tastes of fryer oil or anything off-putting, and the sauce had a good flavor and balance as well. I believe they made the ranch and bleu cheese in house and both had nice flavor. The ranch was almost whipped in consistency and had some herbs in it that you typically don't get when ordering ranch. I enjoyed all of this a lot.

Samantha got the CBR sandwich (Chicken, Bacon, Ranch), Tara got (I can't remember the name of it) burger with prime rib, frizzled onions, and provolone, and I got the all American burger which was basically the same toppings you'd get on a big mac but add bacon. All 3 were very good.

The CBR had a good overall flavor and the texture on the chicken was very good. Occasionally you get a chicken breast that just has a poor mouthfeel but this had a nice bite. Add in melted cheddar, bacon, and that ranch from earlier on a toasted brioche roll and now we're in business!

The burger with the prime rib was very good as well, I mean, how could it not be? Prime rib on top of a quality burger patty with melted cheese and frizzled onions is basically a cheat code. If there is one thing I need to say negatively, it is that both this burger and mine were well past the temp we asked them to be. We both wanted medium rare and there maybe might have been a very slight bit of pink left in them, if any at all. The burgers were still juicy and excellent though.

My All American was exactly what I envisioned, exactly what I wanted, and I was happy after eating it. Again the only thing wrong was the temp, but it tasted great. Also the service here was excellent, even down to the food runners/bussers. Very friendly, very professional, and all in all, just a wonderful experience.

We were seated in corner in one of their dining rooms away from bar, however Birthday Boy who though legal to drink, couldn't handle it, popped a balloon in our face and then made fun of us for complaining. (almost dropped a $2K phone). The staff and Mgr however totally took charge, despite them spending much more than us, cut them off and even intervened, making them return to their table when they approached us. They also credited our check. Was refreshing they did not put profit over principle. I wish I would have gotten the Mgr. S name. DEC 1ST OR 2ND Around 10pm. Thank you.
PS Fried Caesar Salad is Unique/Wonderful. Acoustics in our dining room was difficult to hear each other to talk. Some plants/silk ficus trees around would help greatly.

First time and food was delicious. Had crab meat mac & cheese and grilled chix sandwich. My server was awesome, attentive but also gave us space.

The White Rose never disappoints. Their food is always top notch as well as their service. They run daily food specials and happy hour is 7 days a week from 4-6pm. A must visit when in York city.

This place was amazing, my wife got the brunch burger it is one of the best cooked fried eggs we've ever had on a burger! The fries that went along with it were cooked wonderfully as well! My pulled pork brunch bowl was amazing as well with pulled pork, hash browns and a fried egg on top again being great!

P.S. Shout out to Lana for being a great server while we were here!

Great experience for my first time going. I had been wanting to try and stumbled upon this place while driving through York. I ordered the White Rose Burger, which includes pulled pork with the usual toppings. It was delicious, and my server Natalie did a great job. The vibe of the restaurant was really chill with different hits from the 2000s+ (when I went at least). The price was a little high, but worth it after I left fully satisfied. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area.

Really nice place with plenty of nearby parking. Service was excellent and the food was even better. Definitely take advantage of their daily specials, Thursdays was half priced burgers and a good drink deal. I had the burger with crab and loved it.

The crab mac and cheese is delicious and the drink selection is fabulous. Especially the Bahama Mama and Mojitos. I will definitely be going back!

Went back as promised for my boyfriends birthday. We got the Eastern Shore fries which were phenomenal. He got the shrimp and scallop scampi and I got the shrimp and crab linguini. Let's just say we left in a food coma.

Make sure to ask for Michele S. She was a gem of a server!

Food and atmosphere are great. Service on the other hand is hit or miss at the bars. Sometimes they are quick with service and other times you see them talking amongst themselves instead of getting to customers.

Crab pretzel and burgers were awesome

We were here tonight and had a great time thanks to Stevie. He was so personable and attentive. He made sure that we were happy with everything at all times. He’s a king he slayed the way through our stay. We will be back for Stevie <3
