Stewart's Electrical Inspctn

John is one of the best, if not the best, electrical inspector in southwestern Pennsylvania. We've been on his client list for the last six years. We run a small real estate renovation and rental business just outside Pittsburgh and John is our chief third-party electrical inspection provider.

I've been reading some of the one-star reviews here and shaking my head. This is a highly-reliable family-run business with many years of experience servicing a small, professional clientele that provides a lot of repeat business. Not all electrical inspectors are equal. John is the guy you want to work with. This is not some corporate pizza franchise trying to get you your tasteless pepperoni and extra cheese in thirty minutes or less.

Mr. Stewart is awesome. He inspected our panel upgrade from 100 to 200 amps. West penn power failed to disconnect power until the afternoon which pushed whole job back. Mr. Stewart accommodated our delayed schedule. He is definitely my inspector of choice due to his knowledge, personality and commitment to excellence in electrical work. He even taught me some tips and I have been doing electric for over a decade. Good guy. Highly recommend.

I have dealt with Stewart’s electrical inspections for the last 20 years. I’ve used them in commercial use primarily. He does well he’s very knowledgeable and reliable. He’s helped us out a lot over the years.

Hi everyone that reviewed - how do I get hold of this inspector? My calls are going unanswered. Is there a better phone number to reach them?

I had solar panels installed and they contacted this company to inspect the installation. John called me while I was at work with no warning, no prior communication, and left no voicemail. He called back again 5 minutes later and left a voicemail saying, "Well I guess no one is answering their phone today. Looks like I'm not doing the inspection" Keep in mind, I had no idea who this person was or why they were calling.

He called me back later that night and said he was 5 minutes away and could swing by. When I told him I was unavailable and that I needed more than 5 minutes of notice he became combative. He insisted that this was how he does things. When I told him that won't work and I need to schedule a specific day for him to come he got even more irate and said well then you can find someone else to do the inspection and hung up on me.

How anybody would use this guy is beyond me. Horribly unprofessional.

I called these folks 3 times to get an inspection. The lady said she would call back. I never got a call back I gave a follow-up call and she told me that my information was foward to the electrician still no call. I called back a 3rd time no response. Either these people are rich or they're too lazy to do inspections. Google someone that actually wants to work.

The woman on the phone was very rude and condescending. I will be using someone else.

I'm not sure what this guy was looking at when he inspected my house. Maybe a lunch menu. Find a competent inspector.
