I cannot say enough wonderful things about Fortuitea Cafe. We are so thankful for their incredible team and services for our Summer 2023 wedding. Jeffrey and his team did a phenomenal job executing our vegan appetizers and dinner! We had vegan meatballs, pierogies, crab cakes, bruschetta, salad, and more! The food was absolutely delicious and our guests got to fully experience what makes eating plant-based so special. Jeffrey was willing to transport all of the food and equipment to rural West Virginia for our outdoor wedding (with no running electricity and water). Wow! They were kind, communicative, and flexible. We are so fortunate to have worked with Fortuitea and hope that they can open their doors again soon!

Came here for a quick coffee and it was delicious. So many varieties and flavors. I had a great black coffee (the best around). The owners are awesome too! Would 100% recommend.

We had the royal afternoon tea! The food and service was excellent! There were cookies and salad and soup and sandwiches. The cashew dill ranch dressing was very tasty, as was the garlic potato soup- it had homemade garlic bread croutons in it! Definitely would recommend!

My wife and I had a weekend without the kids, and I wanted to take her to experience something new and searched for a local cafe. I ended up finding Fortuitea. It's not something that we would normally frequent, but upon arrival the layout was somewhat intimidating for first time visitors. When entering the building, there is a deli style counter to the left and haphazard tables on the right. Us being meek people, I pressed my wife to head toward the counter. The gentleman asked if we were ordering to go or dining in. I responded that I wasn't sure and that it was our first time visiting. I could feel the tone shift and the gentlemen who was apprehensive at first turned into a welcoming host. He generously walked us through the standard ordering process and sat us at a table with menus. Upon looking at the menus, it was apparent that this was a vegan establishment. There is nothing wrong with that, but my wife and I have not had previous exposure to the lifestyle. This was an error on my part in not researching the establishment. The time of day didn't allow for some of the heavier meals such as the jack fruit burger or any of the beyond meat options, so my wife and I settled on late morning soups, iced coffee and split a strawberry pastry. Let me tell you that it was the best soups and pastry that we've had in a long time. My wife joked that she has a hard time using regular milk and eggs and they were able to provide such decadence without any animal products. The coffee is ground to order and we were overwhelmed at the options. This was the first time I was able to drink coffee without a sweetener. It was full, non-bitter and delicious. I ordered a Highlander grog with oat milk. It was somehow full bodied but light; countering the pastry and soup perfectly. We will definitely be returning and am excited to try some of the more substantial options.

My teen was looking for places that served afternoon tea and found this lovely cafe, so we took my grandmother on a Saturday and arrived just before noon. So many choices on the menu, but some were unavailable at the time.

Everything was made to order fresh, so please be very patient as there were only two exceptionally kind people working.

We ordered the bruschetta, apple walnut salad, impossible gyro, jackfruit brisket panini, as well as a freshly ground + brewed hot coffee, vanilla cortado, and iced latte. The food was absolutely amazing, portions were large, and well worth the wait. We got an Oreo sticky bun to go, but waited 15 minutes for it to come out of the oven.

Most of their pastries were sold out by the time we got there, but we also arrived at the same time as a 3 person tea party reservation. Then it got busy and some people left because they didn't want to wait. Overall we spent almost 2 ½ hours there.

They have an accessible entrance and very nice bathroom, but there is limited space inside so it's difficult to navigate if you have a wheelchair or mobility aid. Tables are packed together and you will brush past other people. Otherwise we had a wonderful time, highly recommend and will return again soon.

Found this remarkable (Veteran) family own vegan restaurant on a road trip from Indiana. Hand down, the best meal of our trip. Other customers told us they drive an hour just to eat here and now we know why. I had the breakfast burger and it was awesome. Next time we are in the area, we will make it a point to stop in again.

First of all, there was a great variety of coffee. Even they have a big variety of decaf coffee. So my cup of coffee was amazing. We have a good experience with food too. The Avocado salad was very good, the pizza was very good. My jackfruit burger was amazing. We had also dessert was very tasty. So, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. ❤❤❤💙💛

One of THE best vegan places to eat! Go here when you're not in a hurry to get somewhere else because everything is homemade... with a lot of love and care put into everything they make. Fabulous food, friendliest staff and fantastic tea, coffee, and desserts. We've been here several times. This time, we got a side salad, a seasonal soup (pasta fagoli), cashew Mac and cheese topped with bacon, and one of the specials: pierogies topped with Philly cheese steak fixins. We always get dessert too, forgot to get pics, but today we got brownies, a cinnamon roll and a pear strudel-like roll (my favorite out of everything today 💕) Everything was top-notch! We travel about 30 min to get there, but it's worth it.

Absolutely phenomenal. kind and friendly service from warm people. The menu was heartfelt, delicious, home made Slavic soul food. Fantastic desert options. This place is a must for all Vegans and those curious about veganism and what it has to offer.

Came here on a Friday afternoon and my husband and I were very happy with our experience. They offer an extensive menu, all vegan with plenty of gluten free options as well--both very hard to find around the Washington area! He got the Buffalo Falafel pita, I got the Jackfruit Brisket panini. We went back and forth tasting eachothers, because both were so good!
Be advised, the dine in area is quite small. You may have to wait to grab a seat, but it's definitely worth it.
They also offer a great selection of tea, and make lattes as well!
I definitely recommend to anyone and everyone.

So so delicious. Very attentive to dietary restrictions and allergies, and everything is vegan. I have celiac and this is one of the best meals I've had since diagnosis, and felt incredibly safe after the waiter asked me if I had celiac when I ordered my meal gluten free. If you're having any doubts on where to eat, give this place a chance. Seriously seriously amazing.

A true gem in an area lacking in vegan food. The pizza by the “square” is on par with the best vegan slice you can get in NYC. The desserts are scrumptious, and the fresh challah is the best for making french toast at home.
Plenty of coffee beans to pick from, and the staff is very friendly.

Family owned and amazing. My life would not have been complete without having the best cup of fresh brewed Ethiopian coffee and breakfast pierogi made all plant based on earth! Best part of my PA vacation hidden in this small community.

best mac & cheese ever! I got the Jackfruit P panini and the Creamy Mac with broccoli and vegan bacon. They also have a very wide selection of tea & coffee, with popping boba. Overall, wonderful experience, cozy environment, very welcoming and friendly staff. I can’t wait to come back :)

I have been going to Fortuitea once a year for several years. I have been to probably quite literally hundreds of vegan restaurants, and many in the Pittsburgh/Western PA area, and NOTHING competes with Fortuitea. Over the years it has always been the same wonderful experience! It is where we choose to go for birthdays and special occasions because we love it THAT MUCH! The food is absolutely crafted with love and tastes like your grandma made it. Many of my non-vegan friends and family love it— it is not the stereotypical overly healthy or flavorless vegan food! It is dynamic and delicious and REAL! I love the service and how kind and personable the owners are. My favorite menu items are:
The buffalo chickpea Mac n cheese: after I tried this dish, I swore to get it every time and I have not gone back on that promise. It is absolutely amazing. I would sell my soul for the recipe.
The meat loaf: it’s just exactly what you want from a meat loaf. In every way.
The ice cream: so creamy and flavorful and does not make you feel heavy or gross after eating it!

This doesn’t even cover the wide selection of teas, which are in themselves amazing and bursting with flavor.

I love this place so much!!

What an amazing little place to find on a quick trip to Washington, PA. The food we got for dinner was so amazing, we returned for breakfast AND dessert the next day. The owners were very welcoming and friendly and made the experience that much better. If you're in the area, eating here is a MUST!

The food and service here was absolutely amazing. Everyone that worked there was super friendly and very pleasant to be around. I ordered a slice of vegan cheese pizza, French onion soup and a slice of cheesecake. The pizza had a great crust, chewy and crisp at the same time. The French onion soup was very flavorful, the best I’ve had, hands down. The cheese cake was delicious, rich without being “too rich”.

Although this restaurant is around 40 minutes from my house, its definitely worth the drive. The atmosphere is lovely–it feels like I'm in someone's living room. The food is phenomenal (get the mac and cheese, it will change your life!) and the owners are incredibly sweet and genuinely interested in the satisfaction of their customers. I've heard they have a great tea service, which I'd like to try at some point. Please, please move closer to the city. I'm positive that if the location were a little more convenient, Fortuitea would get loads of positive feedback.
