Such a beautiful store! A lovely curated collection of the kind of clothes that you could keep for years. Elevated basics that are such good quality. Allison also has a house line of her own clothes! You couldn’t ask for a kinder shop owner and it always a pleasure to visit her store. Highly Recommend!

The General Public not only has the best items for sale, it also has the best feeling. The owner is so incredibly nice and welcoming. She has obviously spent a lot of time curating the space and picking out each item she wants to sell. She does a great job of finding well crafted clothing and home goods . Plus, she knows so many awesome things about Missoula that she is happy to share. I always find something I need when I stop by.

Beautiful items, beautiful store! Missoula is a halfway meeting point for me and my friend, and our first stop is always the General Public. Last time we visited in March, the Owner, Allison remembered us from our day trip from the previous fall! She is so kind and you can really see all the care and love she puts in her store!

Allison at the General Public is one of the kindest, goofiest and easiest people to be around that I know. She loves what she does and loves working to provide 5 Valleys shoppers, as well as the online community, with something new and interesting that they can't get just anywhere. Things that will make a person more confident and comfortable, whether that be in the garments they wear or the space they are curating to live/work in. Not to mention she is commitment to finding good, ethical brands that you want to support and see thrive in a community like ours. You should go take a look at what she's got!

Each time I go in there are always unique and beautiful pieces to be found! Allison finds amazing products that serve purpose in your home and she truly is compassionate about sustainable shopping, it truly is a special place. Yeah yeah yeah! Owner and curator of the shop has a vision that is so refreshing. The thoughtful items she chose for the space all tell a story. Her stock has been collected from artists and creators that she believes in full heartedly. Therefore there is a sense of depth to each piece, whether it be a gorgeous garment or a vintage post card. I get inspired every time I’m in there.

Perfect place to find that gift for sister and girlfriend, utilizing Allison (owner) to suggest sure-thing surprises. People with a sense of style (or who want to have a sense of style) will appreciate the curation in this store--Portland, LA, Tucson are all represented.
