I lived here for over 5 years, moved out a few months ago. This was a great place to rent. Very quiet, nothing really happening. Staff was always friendly. The maintenance guys were very friendly, always greeted me, always came right away when needed and were always professional. I had very few problems with the apartment and when problems did occur they fixed them immediately. Rent was reasonable, parking was rarely a problem. I have recommended York Apartments to others and will continue to do so.

Great place to call home! I have lived here for almost a year and there have been a lot of changes throughout the complex. The hallways and gym received upgrades and look fantastic and the landscaping is well kept. While some of the projects have been inconvenient at times, it's been worth it. It's nice to see that the new Manager cares enough to invest in the property and not just keep our rent money. Anytime I have had to call or stop in the office everyone has been very nice and the two maintenance items I needed fixed were handled same day.

Been living here for 3 months now and I have nothing but good things to say about the experience so far. They are affordable, no rowdy neighbors, the leasing office staff is extremely polite and helpful. Maintenance requests are handled very quickly. Parking is a non-issue and is located in great area. Fast food, restaurants, gym, supermarkets, banks, mechanics movie theater, pharmacies, schools, car wash, laundry, bowling, hospital etc. Everything is just right within a 2 minutes drive away. I-83 is easily accessible which makes it pretty quick to get across town.

Moved in late October. Love it. Only complaint is noisy neighbor but I can live with that. Never have a trouble with parking. And the few times I needed maintenance they were always on time and professional. Rent is at a good price for my budget. Plus I'm close by to restaurants and grocery store as compared to my last place where everything was at least 20mins away. Really is in a great location

Such a great place to live! The team that works here take such pride in the community. I’ve lived here for years and the upgrades that have come to the apartments recently have made me a proud member of the community. My work requests are always handled the same day I call them in and are taken seriously by the maintenance guys.

Although we weren't approved for an apartment, everyone we dealt with through the application and touring process was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the community. Just crushed that we can't live here :/

So I just moved to York apartments because it was reasonably priced and I enjoyed the location. Despite being shown a “show” unit I was never shown the actual unit I was living in. This is no big deal to me personally, now where things start to get fun. I was made to pay extra because it was past half of the month due to them not having the apartment ready. So I had to pay the prorated amount for half of April’s rent and May’s rent upfront. $750 plus a dog deposit upfront. Now that’s fine however this place also offers a “laundry facility.” Now the fun part is you pay for the laundry in the facility in a basement which is never kept up on. The “dog park” that they also advertise is literally a patch of grass that is always muddy and never maintained. Now to today I had spoken to an employee about taking the weekend due to COVID-19 and having issues getting help. I had paid the amount agreed upon and I was told at 9am today to be out of the apartment. Despite having made the payment the 23rd of April. It was pulled from the account on April 27th. So there was a time frame in which it could have been explained that had happened. I would not recommend living here, there will be lies told and things will not be taken care of. You won’t have parking half the time, you will have giant windows in your bedroom that people can see you. Now mind you I never missed a rent payment, I never raised hell with the office. If anyone reading this is wants an example the grass hasn’t been cut in at least 2 weeks. This place will not enforce rules, they will not do anything.

I moved in here with a roommate in July since then we have been finding problems with the apartment since. We have called about a couple of issues, and when they were not resolved we quit bothering to try. The only thing they fixed was our Air Conditioning and even then it took them 4 days to come out and fix it, even with the temperature outside soaring over 90 degrees the entire time we didn't have any. And parking... my roommate doesn't even have a car and the parking is atrocious. There is never a spot near the apartment, let alone on our street sometimes. It's unacceptable. There are supposed to be 2 non-assigned spots designated to our lease. Most of the time I can't even find 1.

Students please don't come here. The rent here is too high. I had no option that's why I had to move in here. The rent does not include anything. You have to get you electricity, gas, WiFi activated by yourself. So that also gets added to your expenses. You also have to get a renter's insurance before you move in so that is again an expense. To break the lease there is 2 month rent penalty. So, if you have signed the lease you an't break it and you have to live there for a year. I came in as an international student and ad to experice all of this. To get your post box keys you have to travel 7 miles to put an application then wait for 10 days to get your keys. DISAPPOINTED.

Quiet neighborhood but the rental office is trash. They accuse of missing payments when, keep all receipts. Lost a key to the wash room, never got a replacement but was charged for a lost key fee of $50 on move out. Painted the apartment before move out and was charged for 2nd coat of paint. Wouldn’t recommend them to anyone

I receive a email this morning from the Andy kaehlee cam suposed to be the property manager he’s very rude, I call very nicely regarding some charges just for some explaination I used to pay my rent this guys said to me I’m not gonna repeat myself in a very rude tongue next thing I know he’s hang up the phone in my face and I called back just to tell him are you really hang up the phone in my face he said yes I did because I told you I don’t want to repeat myself so this is how you talk to people I pay my rent every month with no issues I don’t live here for free. You need to respect that I work hard I work overnight to pay my bills. I think I deserve some respect I need to get in contact with corporate as soon as possible.

Stay far far away! This place discriminated against me because of my ethnicity & my disability & took $300 out of my bank acct without my knowledge/permission when I filled out an application to live there. Don’t judge the place by appearance it might look nice on the outside. I will be pursing this legally as they should know that discrimination is against the law & yes they discriminated because of my disability. Look up the law on ADA (Americans with disability act) and get your employees trained on “customer service 101”

They allowed someone to rent an apartment with my information when it was clearly identity theft. Theres no way they were able to provide REAL proof of income because they aren't ME. Due to this leasing office not doing their due diligence I am moving out of state and going through HELL trying to rent in my name. I went to speak with someone in the office and he screamed in my face and threatened to call the polie on me. He was very combative and was not trying to help in the slightest even after he saw how distraught I was over the situation. I spoke to the lady in the office and she lied to me and told me she was looking up the file just for the property manager to say she is unable to do that because she does not have access. They're a joke.

These use to be nice apartments years ago but not anymore. The place was bought out by some large property management company based out of Fort Washington, PA called Altman Management that has a C+ rating by the Better Business Bureau. First off they show you an apartment that is fixed up and has modern fixtures and new carpets. However, this is not what your apartment will look like when you go to move in. I was willing to let this slide as the place was slightly cheaper than other apartments in the area. They also got rid of the individual apartment mailboxes and consolidated the mailboxes into one spot in the middle of the complex. You have to go to the post office over on White Street to get a mailbox assigned. Over the duration of my stay I didn't have much trouble but when I went to move out they tried to bill me for repairs to the already threadbare carpets and little things like oven cleaning. I put aluminum foil on the bottom of my ovens, so they can't get too terribly dirty. That didn't stop York Apartments from trying to charge me $110 for cleaning the oven though. I took the shelves and crispers out of the refrigerator and cleaned them thoroughly but they still said the refrigerator was dirty. After clearing out my security deposit they told me I still owed them money. I've never had a landlord try a stunt like that. Honestly, I'd say stay away from these apartments but any apartment complex that is affordable seems to have the same problems. They're just taking advantage of people with little money. If you can afford it, pay a little more and find a better outfit to deal with.
