New Wok

The food was excellent! It is so hard to find a decent sit down Chinese restaurant. They are either take out only OR really fancy and expensive. Here was just right. I got General Tso chicken lunch in and it was delicious. Chicken was crispy and breaded and the sauce was excellent. Price was very reasonable. I do wish that there was a bit of soft music just to break up the silence. Service was also very good. We will be back!

Greeted quickly, friendly attentive staff, food came very quickly, and all dishes were better than expected. The food had well developed flavor and cooked very well. Everything was light, not oily or heavy.

This place was delicious. I HIGHLY recommend coming here to eat instead of take out. The staff was friendly and attentive, the food came out quick. The atmosphere was great as well. Nice lighting, low music, beautiful decor and plating. The food was absolutely delicious! We ordered about 5 main meals and 3 appetizers and we loved each one. I came here specifically for the wontons but their fried wonton soup is to die for!! Their crispy noodle dish is as well. My son said the shrimp were cooked perfectly. Will be returning here again to eat.

Best Chinese food I’ve had in a while and I’ve lived in New York and San Francisco. The ingredients are always fresh. Delicious flavor and the leftovers taste the same after reheating which is a true test of how fresh the ingredients are. Glad this place survived the pandemic bc it’s our family weekly go to.

This is the best Chinese restaurant in all of Connecticut, hands down. Every take out order and dine in experience has been great. I actually feel spoiled because whenever I try a different Chinese restaurant it doesn’t compare to New Wok.

My husband and I are new to town and this is now our go-to Chinese spot! We’ve eaten dine in and gotten take out and each time it has been spot on. They are super fast and efficient. Phone orders have always been very easy to call in. The egg rolls, crab rangoons, sesame chicken, vegetable lo mein, and pork fried rice have all been delicious.

Been coming here for the last 17 years or so since they opened, and always have enjoyed the food. They give you a lot of meat, the food is very tasty too so overall a great value.

Although the prices have increased along with all restaurants lately somewhat , they've NEVER at all skimped on portion sizes - something I've seen a LOT at other restaurants in one way or another (so they become more expensive and serve smaller portions or with fillers-no bueno)

We ordered here for the first time since moving to town. Just fabulous! Nothing had that fake sense yellow color that Chinese food usually has. I ordered the manager special wonton soup which was a delicious clear broth with fresh veggies and delicious wontons. Way better quality than what I was expecting with Chinese take out.

I love New Wok so much! They're my go-to Chinese place in Newtown. They have THE BEST shrimp toast I've ever had in my life, that alone is with a visit there.

Our lunch at New Wok in Newtown was a pleasant surprise, it was a quiet rainy day so it wasn’t busy and our food came quickly, our reasonably priced lunch special portion was generous and looked appealing, both of our dishes tasted great especially the beef with mixed vegetables that was well seasoned yet not too salty which I really enjoyed, even the simple won ton soup was quite tasty, we are so glad that we have found a great Chinese restaurant in our area and we will be back soon.

Been going here since I was a little kid, and still haven't had anything better than this place. Best broccoli and general tso chicken is very good. Highly recommend.

Best Chinese food in the area. Fresh and well seasoned. Prices about average. Nice little place to dine in (when BIG BROTHER allows it)

Consistently good food. Many options. Black bean sauce is exceptional. LOVE the Crispy Sea Scallops! BYOB is a plus!

Cheap, quality, good service. Pan fried dumplings are the best I've ever had.
