The notion of putting our business on the market after 22 years of devotion and toil was one of the toughest business decisions my wife Sherri and I have ever made. Once we had committed to the sale, we had the crucial choice of a realtor to represent our property and become our advocate.

Our business is small in today's standards, but complicated with several potential obstacles. The business occupied 3 buildings, included real estate and or leases, hundreds of pieces of industrial equipment, point of sale systems, soft ware, security systems, vehicles, property of third parties etc.

In our opinion there are many knowledgeable real estate professionals in northwest Montana. After nearly 40 years in business in this area we have had very good experiences with several real estate agents. In case we are delighted we decided to ask Kent Lembke of American Interactive Real Estate to list our property. I have know Kent for many years, he is respected it the community and his success in his field, over a long period of time, speaks for itself. As I said, our business is complicated; we needed the best!

A potentially chaotic situation with what seemed endless information collection required a strategic mind-set. Kent suggested we include another experienced real estate expert in our formula and in doing so sacrificed half his commission for the betterment of the effort. We listened to Kent's advice and Ed Rendl joined the team.

With-in days after the listing we were entertaining offers from vetted candidates, with-in 40 days we had a buy/sell agreement with a worthy qualified buyer.

After the buy/sell was done the hard work of the buyers due-diligence began. This is where Kent and Ed displayed their business acumen and earned their money. Due to the nature of the industry, there can be environmental conditions that could preclude bank financing. The buyer's bank was clumsy and caused numerous frustrating delays. The environmental expert who was retained by the bank produced a faulty and incorrect assessment which led to more unnecessary delays. Getting through these challenges required patient management to keep all parties moving forward. Fortunately, the concerns of the bank and the environmental consultant's faulty reports proved to be with out merit. Without Kent's quiet reassurance and patience this sale may have fallen through.

We are forever grateful for Ken and Ed's expertise, organization ability and extensive knowledge. The paid for their own services and then some. We would do business with these guys again.

Kent And Janeen have a unique offering. For $495 and 1% at closing, they list your property on MLS (Multiple Listing Service...... the one Realtors use and the public studies). Big savings. However, you do a lot of the work. YOU handle the showings. You are basically a FSBO (For Sale By Owner) but with professional level Google MLS advertising exposure. The 1% does provide you with all contract work and even some assistance and guidance in negotiations and other work typical to a professional agent. Again, YOU sell your house, YOU set showings, YOU provide contact time with buyers. You are receiving a 2% seller's commission discount. You also set the commission for the buyer's agent. This can be real money saver too. When I use this service, I do a lot of the work but save half of typical real estate commissions. I read the other review. Apparently they didn't understand how it works but you can bet, they enjoyed a big savings.

Horrible experience. We listed a home with Kent, and he has done nothing except put in on the MLS. He did not come here to list the property (done at his office), and has even refused to come to the home to show it with another agent. Communication has been nil. We did get one offer, which was "presented" to us as an email a day after it was received. Go somewhere else if you want good service.
