The food was amazing and the staff were so friendly! We had a 40th birthday and they went above and beyond- from a 360 camera, to a TV with birthday messages, decorations, appitizers in the table for arrival and an amazing birthday cake!!

We recommend that everyone comes here and feels the love, commitment to service and Environment just as much as we did!!!

We will definitely be back!!

Was thrilled to find this quality restaurant in an area with few options. Grilled shrimp platter was great, well cooked and very sizable portion. Service was very conscientious and had ample TV's for this guy who wanted to watch sports when eating solo. Would definitely go back again.

My husband and I had our wedding reception for 50 guests at historical downtown Two Steps. The venue was amazing. The fire truck hanging from the ceiling, the architecture and stain glass windows are beautiful. Artifacts from the Danbury State Fair hang on the walls. The staff was incredible to work with, they accommodated our every need and the food and the service was impeccable. We are so happy to have had this positive experience on our special day. We will continue to frequent the restaurant and would highly recommend this venue to anyone planning an event. Carolyn and Dave

Ciao! Catering came very highly recommended from our venue (Lounsbury House). We spoke to a few different caterers but Tom immediately impressed us by already putting in work before we even hired him. He had us chose our favorites from their normal catering menu, and a proposed event menu, and a tasting before ever signing a contract.
Tom and his daughter Kate were so impressive day-of the wedding! They took great control of the setup and executed all my little details to perfection. Kate was so thoughtful making sure we were always with a drink in our hand (including immediately following the ceremony) and the timing of the whole evening was on point! Our guests commented on how good the food was (seriously, the chicken AND the fish dishes were so good it made me question my "I always get the beef option at weddings" rule!!!)

I couldn't recommend Tom and his team any more, we would easily go with them if we were to have to do this all over again.

We also went to Two Steps Downtown Grille for our 'negative one year anniversary' to celebrate - the food at the restaurant was also delicious and they have a lovely outdoor space for dining!

Had to change our wedding date 3 times and on the third date, we found Tom. As you would expect, by this time I was a wreck with nerves and Tom made the entire process effortless. From the first meeting we knew right away we wanted to hire him. Not only was the food amazing but he was like our wedding planner. He coordinated with the rental company, liquor store and our venue (tarrywile) which was a tremendous help. On the day, his daughter Kate was amazing. She made sure my husband and I had food, drinks water and anything we wanted. Our cocktail hour was amazing, everyone was talking about how good the food was. As well as our delicious entrees. You will not be disappointed with Tom and team!

Thank-you Tom & Ray for all of your help with the food for my daughter's engagement party on 1/11. You were both so great to work with as always. It was piping hot when I picked it up & everything tasted amazing! Everyone asked where it was from. Tom's suggestion of mac n cheese instead of fries to go with the chicken tenders for the kids in attendance was a hit with the kids as well as the adults! Although everything was super simple, next time I have you cater I will have it delivered just to take that off my plate. :)

I would highly recommend Ciao Catering & Two Steps!
Planning a party for 45 guests in my home was daunting, but Tom, Ray and the staff at Ciao Catering & Two Steps made the food portion of the planning so easy! It was easy to order and they provided heating instructions (as I picked up earlier in the day)! All the food was fantastic and my guests raved about each dish! Thanks to Ciao for their help! Great food and great people! We will happily do this again!

Tom Devine and his staff graciously accommodated a last minute gathering for us, of over 20 friends. They were quick to serve drinks and get us refills, and the food was outstanding! There was little waiting, and with such a large group, we were all able to eat together. No one had to wait. We were all very pleased and are looking forward to hosting future parties here.

Two Steps is a local, downtown favorite. The food selection is both delicious and diverse, and if you pay attention, there are some great deals (for lunch and happy hour especially), making upscale dining very affordable. Moreover, the historic firehouse building creates an interesting and engaging atmosphere, and the craft beer selection is impressively extensive, thanks to Tyler and the rest of the friendly staff.

Tom is fantastic! The food, the coordination of other vendors, the food (did I already mention that??!!) is top notch for all of your catering needs. It was such a pleasure to work with someone so professional. Thank you for making our event so memorable.

While they changed their menu since the last time we were here the food was excellent. If you like a modern twist to some of your classic dishes this is a good place to go in downtown Danbury. Also has a very nice bar area.

Found this restaurant on Google Maps when driving through Danbury. What a great surprise! Delicious food, cute atmosphere, friendly server, decent prices. Highly recommend the Goat Cheese and Spinach Quesadillas and the Buffalo Chicken Wrap. Sweet potato fries are delicious too. Visit this place! Covid is killing their business.

Food was great, but I think our waiter has never dealt with kids before. We went with a group, and by the time we left, he had taken all the salt/pepper shakers away and looked like he just saw a ghost. Speaking of ghosts, I think this place is haunted.

Had a quick lunch at the bar while waiting to attend an event in downtown Danbury and this place was great! There wasn’t really anyone else in there but the blackened tilapia sandwich was really good and really fresh. Also the bartender was super friendly and we had a great conversation after I ate. Would go back if I’m ever in Danbury again!

Had a great evening attending one of Tom's cooking demonstrations last night. The food was inspiring and the patrons all had a good time. Family style seating sharing good food with new friends. Thank you Tom.

Excellent burgers and fries! A bar and grill had better make a great burger but when even simple things like fries are handcut and not frozen, and the salsa is freshly made rather than from a jar, you know it's more than your typical bar and grill. And that's what Two Steps is.

Great Southwest fare. Everything is Fresh and flavorful. New more modern (sports-bar) decore works well for downtown.
Tom Devine catered my wife and I's wedding and we could not be more pleased. Everyone complemented the food and he gave us a more than fair price for everything.
A must try if you're in City Center Danbury.

If you want a fun place to chill and have fantastic food with awesome service...this is the place! One of my favorite places! 5 stars is not enough :)

Have been there the last two years when my husband plays in the Old Crabs Annual Hockey Tournament. The food, service, and atmosphere is awesome. Highly recommend this place.
