Amazing indoor exhibit with many different species on display! So much to see inside before venturing out into the surrounding forest. Great hiking trails with varying levels of difficulty. I'm sure it would be even more beautiful when everything is in bloom. A must see in central PA!

I love visiting here with my toddler, and he loves it just as much. The museum is not so big it's overwhelming, with just enough for him to touch that he's satisfied. The trails are well maintained, as is the play area with the creek. Every time I've gone I've absolutely loved going and find something new.

Went there for a hike July 4th. Hiked a newly formed trail! Very scenic but come prepared with water and the right footwear! You'll need them on that trail! ☺

Beautiful wooded park for walking, hiking, relaxing, and enjoying your natural surroundings. No dogs, bicycles, horses allowed.Visitor center on grounds. Portable toilets by the parking lot. Lots of different trails to enjoy that highlight a variety of wildlife areas.

I came across this place on Google. I saw a lot of wonderful reviews already, and they hardly do justice. This discovery center is two stories of lots of interactive things for children to see and touch. Then they have a map that showed maybe 10 different trails to take including a fully paved one that is very easy for strollers. If you're adventurous like we were, you can take off on the geology Trail at the end of the paved trail. It's a little trying, but we made it through with a tiny little stroller. An off-road jogging stroller would have been preferable, but it might be a little wide for some of the areas. Is a nice mostly smooth but semi bumpy from the roots and rocks.

Awesome little community park system that connects to a rail/road trail and the reservoir system. Just note: No Dogs on the Nature Center Trail System. There are some interesting Water Gates on the creek.

I went to Nixon Park often during my childhood and these days I take my own children or sometimes go alone to take a hike. I've never had a bad experience there. It's collection of mounted animals from around the world is second to none. Definitely worth a stop.

Great place. My family go here for hikes all year round. My daughters class had a field trip scheduled that I helped with. It rained but there was plenty to learn and do in the building.

Such a great park, we feel so fortunate to have it nearby. Excellent trails filled with biodiversity - a great place to go birding, especially with the addition of the wetlands. There are always turtles in the pond and oftentimes tadpoles and crayfish. The nature center is a great place for all ages. I love that they are working on removing invasive plant species and incorporating native plants, they have native plants for sale a lot, too. This place makes my heart happy.

Great way to spend the day with family. This weekend was the maple sugar demonstration. You could taste test and see the trees being tapped and sap being boiled...so cool
