Generally, I hate going to big box hardware stores so the location, customer service and small business energy PLUS price match makes Weed and Duryea a no-brainer 5-star review.

It’s also my go-to for pumpkin picking. Great selection and reasonable prices.

You will pay a bit more but you will get exactly what you need and their customer service is great!

Weed & Duryea building and home supplies located on Grove street in New Canaan across the street from Walter Stewarts Market is an excellent source for all types of home goods from coffee pots to snow shovels. I bought my first snow shovel at Weeds when my landscaper didn't show up. Their coffee makers are German designed to make an individual cup of coffee as well as a full pot available in glass or stainless steel. The prices are competitive with most leading home stores. They have custom made wooden furniture on display outside this large home supply store. I love their handmade benches available in all hardwoods and finishes. Christmas Trees and handmade decorations are available at Weeds seasonally. They have excellent building supplies with great service always available to help you find exactly what you need. When I wanted a special high intensity light they were able to find it for me taking the time to install it free of charge. Open 7 days a week Weeds is the place to go for home and building supplies with a custom edge in a large light filled environment. Call before you go to have it ready for you upon your arrival in record time. Weed & Duryea is the best home supply store I know it's absolutely excellent with outstanding service and superior products you won't be disappointed. Architects and builders get a10% discount. Note: Weed and Duryea serves fresh buttered popcorn on weekends made in an original popcorn machine giving their customers excellent service.

Beats going to the zoo that is home depot in Norwalk; the older I get the more I appreciate the good service that this place provides over the cheaper and broad selection at the big box stores.
