Best coffee I have had in the Southern CT area. The cinnamon hazelnut was AMAZING and my friend couldn't stop raving about the Carmel nut. They have limited selections to drink in store (wish there were a few more options) but had what seemed like millions of bean flavors to take home. Will definitely be back :)

Coffee is superb. Love the espresso beans, we buy the beans for home use.

We always order lattes and they’re usually really great, however there are a select few who really don’t do a great job. (Some of the younger/new staff, but I get that they’re learning). But when you get one that they’ve made it just tastes like hot milk, not coffee.

Muffins are excellent, but they often run out. Could use some sleeves on the cups for when the coffee is extra hot.

Overall a great small town coffee shop. We need more places like this!

This is a unique local business with a devoted clientele. \ Zumbach's is about coffee. It is based upon the knowledge and skill of its owner, Doug Zumbach. Doug selects, imports, roasts, grinds, and brews the coffee. His guests may serve themselves from a selection of coffees, roasts, and flavors, or order coffee confections or bulk coffee from the young staff at the counter.

Zumbach's is also about New Canaan. It is an iconic local business. It provides employment to local students and a meeting place for its loyal patrons. As a "car buff," Doug periodically hosts "Coffee and Carburetors" to provide the locals with an opportunity to display our many classic cars and to raise funds for local causes. Zumbach's is part of what makes New Canaan such a welcoming and comfortable place to live.

Coffee options are great and service quick and friendly. Love the small NE feel of these types of stores.

I love the Coffee Beans from Zumbach's. I have pounds sent every month to me in Manhattan. The city has lost many good roasters so I rely on the excellence of their product and the kind voices that take my order. It's worth every penny to enjoy every sip.

Extensive list of fresh and varied coffee offerings, unhurried atmosphere and notably: cash or check only. But staff were kind enough to offer an IOU which we returned the following day with good ol’ American bills and coin.

The smells from this place are unbelievable the coffee is smooth Rich great-tasting iced or hot. This is some of the best coffee that I've had whenever I am in darien visiting family I drive over to pick the stuff up. Only wish they were in Houston or maybe I need to open a franchise..

When you want locally roasted coffee, Zumbachs has a good selection, fast service and a neat space. Plus if you're a car enthusiast, you'll always find something cool in the lot or street. Good outdoor seats on a nice day. Prices in line with the area.

Gotta love this wonderful local coffee roaster and retail coffee shop. Not only is the coffee VERY good, but it's roasted on site - several batches/day with beans imported from coffee growing areas around the world - and thus extremely fresh!
And Will, today's roastmeister, was unbelievably kind to our 5-year old Andrew, teaching him all the ins and outs of roasting coffee beans - and letting him help with the process. This batch will surely be the best ever! Thanks to Will and all the rest of the Zumbach crew - you're the best!

I am lucky to work right across the street from this amazing place. Interestingly enough, I was at a coffee shop in Essex, CT and commented on how good their coffee was. I asked where they get it and they said a place in New Canaan called Zumbach's.

Staff is super helpful. They will help you choose flavors by strength, grind and flavor. Haven’t had a different brand of coffee since !

I work down the street from this place and I love it!!! I go there every morning for coffee. The employees are wonderful, the place is clean and the coffee is EXCELLENT!!!
