The Newtown Yoga Center

I am so grateful to have found the Newtown Yoga Center. Aline, the owner, teaches most of the classes, and she is wonderful. She is a peaceful person who cares about the experience each person has. You can tell how much she cares about each person and ensuring they are practicing at a level they are comfortable with. At first I thought she was going to be a bit too gentle on us, but she will surprise you with the poses she takes you through! My yoga has benefited from the regular practice and I truly cherish each time I get to attend a class. Don't hesitate in booking a class with Newtown Yoga, you will not be disappointed. :)

This yoga center is so very special. Owner Aline is not only a fantastic, incredibly kind teacher, but she has also created a community through which so many of the values of yoga are expressed and shared. It's such a welcoming, beautiful space to land on your mat and give to yourself while guided by a knowledgable and dedicated teacher!

My sister and I both began our yoga journey with Aline about 6 years ago in her beautiful, peaceful studio. We started with the beginners class not knowing if we could do this or if we would even like it. 6 years later, here we are, 3 mornings a week, loving it. We have gained so much flexibility, strength, and balance in our bodies and love our practice in a community of kindness and peace that the Newtown Yoga Center provides. Aline’s teaching skills are very strong yet her voice is so gentle and calming. She adapts each class to fit all levels and there is no judgement here. In her words…the hardest part of yoga is getting there. We always look forward to class and always leave smiling. This place is bursting with awesomeness!!!

Aline the owner of the Newtown Yoga Center is a gem. She is a fantastic yogi and terrific for folks interested in yoga of all levels. When I started I had never taken a yoga class. Since then I take at least 4 classes a week. I love the sunrise series. The timing really works well for me. I highly recommend taking yoga classes at The Newtown Yoga Center. If you have never taken a class before you might want to start with a private with Aline so she can place you in the right class to ensure a successful yoga career.

Newtown Yoga Center has taught me how to cultivate calm, let go of anxiety and be more mindful not just on the yoga mat, but throughout the week! Aline is helping us build stronger bodies and a stronger sense of community in a relaxed, fun-loving way that makes yoga accessible to all!

Took a class on Sunday, it was sooo much fun. Started going to Newtown Yoga Center a few months ago, attending one of Aline’s yoga series, just added on, a more advanced class on a few Sunday mornings to my routine. Entering the studio, you feel at home walking in the front door, taking your shoes off and rolling out your mat. Aline does it all with the help of her very cute dog assistant , Saylor

It is very peaceful! Aline was is such a wonderful human being! I haven’t been to the studio for a few years but she makes you feel like she saw you yesterday! Always smiling and welcoming!

I had been feeling called to start a meditation/yoga practice for years, and I was very grateful to finally find my teacher in Aline. I gained so much from taking her “Cultivate Calm” series; how to regulate my emotions, center myself around my breath, tolerate distress, stretch, and be in my body, and so much more. She teaches meditation in a way that created no resistance in my mind and fostered a deep peace within me. Aline and the Newtown Yoga Center are a gift.

Newtown Yoga is a place I find peace every time I walk through the door. Aline brings light and joy to all her classes and is kind and accepting to all. I am so blessed to have found this special place!

I've only been here one but it was an excellent experience. The owner checked me in, was very personable and happy to show me around. She offered the new student special with No pressure to purchase. Wendy taught the class- it was challenging but there was a good ebb and flow and variations offered. There was even a partner pose (hard to come by usually!) I left with serious yoga brain. 😂 the space was beautiful, clean, and inviting. They have all the props you could need. As a new student there was no problem starting conversation with other students/staff and I didn't feel awkward at all. Drop in is $20 which depending what area you usually practice in is a bit high but it's worth it!

I love Aline’s teaching style and the whole atmosphere of the studio! the sunday morning vinyasa was so good, and I can’t wait to try other classes. Highly recommend!

Warm and inviting are the classes at NYC. The yoga classes are educational for the mind and therapeutic for the body. Aline gives each student poses tailored for their needs in a light hearted fun environment.

Aline came to our house and hosted a private yoga class for 7 folks, and it was amazing! I would definitely recommend a yoga experience with Aline, and if you're looking to host a party, this is a great idea!

This little yoga studio is full of heart and soul. Aline and all of the teachers have created a very special place to practice yoga in a very loving and supportive community.

It's a gracious welcoming experience for beginners to advanced yoga. There is time and lovely space for practice in this community. The first class is free so you can check it out for yourselves.

This is such a special studio! I fell in love and was honored to be able to attend the restorative yoga teacher training for an entire weekend! It was amazing, a truly uplifting and incredible experience! LOVE THIS PLACE!

Aline is a highly gifted practitioner, teacher and healer. She is truly special on so many levels.
