Oliver and Johnny at Mercantile are beyond special. We have relocated and I can honestly say the thing we miss the most about living in CT is this beautiful place and these two beautiful souls. Not only do they welcome you with a smile, their service is the literal best. The food is amazing, but the most impressive aspect are thede employees. They make their customers feel like family. No other place in the area can replicate it (honestly haven’t found it in TN yet!) Every establishment should strive to provide this quality food and service. Mercantile truly sets the bar. If you haven’t been yet, do yourself a favor and walk through those doors!

Absolutely loved the place! Oliver, the manager, went about and beyond to make our visit unforgettable ! He was very kind and attentive to each and every customer! My friend and I had a great brunch and received a top notch service. Ambiance is amazing, food is great, service is 10/10! Will come back with husband next time!

Best coffee/breakfast spot in the area by a long shot. Almond lattes are amazing and so is the avocado tartine.

Cozy cafe at GrayBarns. It’s got that quiet, extended living room atmosphere. This is my “feel wonderfully guilty spot” to unwind with an almond latte and a peanut butter miso cookie before heading home.

Such a wonderful place. I went there yesterday. OMG! Super Clean, beautifully designed, super cozy. Jhonny, the Barista, made me one of the best cappuccino in my life. Excellent Customer Service. Highly recommend. Thank you Jhonny!!! you made my day. I’ll be back for sure!

My wife and I love the Mercantile! Their coffee is delicious, their specialty foods and chocolate are phenomenal, and their rotisserie chicken is OUT OF THIS WORLD AMAZING! Love the staff too. Everyone is so warm and kind. Silvermine is such a special place to visit - have a walk around the neighborhood after filling your belly! A hidden gem you don't want to miss!

I like going to the mercantile because I feel at home, the attention especially from Johnny always warm and humble with very good suggestions, the lobster toastie should be illegal, it's unbelievably out of this world.

Love this place. Delicious drinks, amazing service. Grateful to have it in the neighborhood.

Hidden gem. Delicious coffee, cappuccino and pastries in an idyllic setting.
