Whitefish Handcrafted Spirits

I'm hesitant to rave about this establishment because I don't want it to become so popular that its hard to get a table, and yet I want them to be wildly successful so that they never go out of business!

The hospitality of the host was welcoming and not overbearing. He was able to guide us and make suggestions on both food and drink that we took and were not disappointed in. The service was impeccable. The hand crafted cocktails were the best I've had in the valley. Our food came out surprisingly fast and was cooked to perfection. My husband got the Korean chicken and bread pudding, and I got the braised short ribs. The chicken had the most crispy breading, and yet was some of the juiciest chicken we've ever consumed. The bread pudding was not soggy or overly sweet. It was delicious (and that's coming from someone who doesn't like bread pudding). The ribs fell off the bone and melted in my mouth! The glaze and sides of my dish were paired perfectly.

The exterior of the distillery looks like a house. The inside is small and cozy with wood paneling and mismatched chairs/tables. We went on a Sunday, early evening, and were 1 of 3 parties, so we were able to spread out. However, if the restaurant was full, it would be difficult to hold a conversation without others hearing it.

The prices of the drinks are very expensive and the food was on the expensive side as well, but also worth it! These days, most places are expensive, but I can't say many of them are worth it, and this one is! For delicious food and cocktails, Whitefish Handcrafted Spirits and Distillery has my highest recommendation.

We ordered the Tomahawk ribeye for 2. It takes 40 minutes to cook, as it is such a large piece of steak. While we waited we enjoyed some drinks and the yummy garlic bread. We had ordered the steak medium , and I said a bloody medium so on the lighter end of the spectrum..,,and the steak came out as well done. Being a backyard BBQ warrior. I understand a piece of meat like that would probably be very hard to cook perfectly without using a temperature probe. However on the other hand. When you pay $170 for a steak, you expect it to come as you ordered it….. Overall food tasted great. Presentation of food was excellent. Very impressive looking dish. Way overpriced….. You can get this same steak for $9.99 a pound at Costco. Ended up being the most expensive meal of my life with tip, a couple drinks and an appetizer. In a blue collar town the meal was a disappointment given the $250 price tag and the entree coming out way overcooked.

I love this place. Cozy setting. Awesome service. Excellent food and drink. (Only complaint is that if it’s crowded it’s really loud and hard to have a conversation). Had the amaretto rose sour (yum!) and the seafood curry noodles (spicy and delicious)

Don't let the outside of this building fool you! It looks rather small from outside and it could use an updated sign but it's quite the gem inside. We went here on our vacation after a recommendation from a friend. She said it was the best food she had in Kalispell. And it didn't disappoint! We came on a Sunday night and had the short ribs and lamb. So good! We also ordered a kids size of the pasta dish, which was also devoured by the kiddos. Note that they don't have a kids menu, but you can order kids size portions of their regular menu items. My husband and I each had a craft drink as well which was delicious - actually it was probably one of the best drinks I've had!

We order from here all the time. The food is absolutely amazing. Best burger and fries in town. Today, the customer service was out of this world. We had a to-go order that wasn't exactly as ordered. After calling and talking to Clint the manager, we were floored with how well they took care of us. Clint went above and beyond to make it right for us. Definitely give this place a shot, you will not be disappointed.

Great little location for fun drinks with friendly bartender and owner. Would love to go back and visit. The drink (huckleberry margarita) was so tasty that I consumed most of it before I took a pic.

Best restaurant I've been to in a while! So happy we explored and found this place.

The Blood Orange Fizz is like an adult Italian soda. The Brussel Sprout Caesar Salad was something I never knew I needed in my like. The Roasted Vegetable Tacos and Fish Tacos were both so unique and amazing. We took the Roasted Pineapple Ice cream home for dessert.... so worth it! Everything was simple but full of amazing flavor combinations.
And the location! It's small, cozy and deceiving from the outside. Even the glassware is amazing!!
Will defiantly be coming back to Kalispell just for this place.

Absolutely delicious food! The chips and salsa was flavorful and crunchy. We had veggie tacos and fish tacos. The fish was cooked so nicely with a good airy crunch. My teen really liked the caesar salad with jerk chicken. We also ordered the customer favorite - garlic and herb bread - it was so good! We also had a made-to-order roasted veggie flat bread with mushrooms. Everything was mouth-watering. I love the water in Montana too.

Super chill , cozy and laid-back place with the extremely flavorful food. The staff (Sarah and Matthew ) were very welcoming. First time visiting Montana and they provided us recommendations regarding things to do. Highly recommend it!

Intimate cozy space, delicious and well-made drinks, and phenomenal food!! Can't wait to go back. I almost don't want to review it because I want to keep this gem to myself, but it's too darn good not to give kudos to the servers/bartenders and chef/kitchen who are really top notch.

Was looking for somewhere to eat dinner that was open on Sunday and not too far from our cabin and found this place on google. I was a bit skeptical that they had a real dinner and not just bar food. It also looked more like a “locals” hangout and being a tourist we didn’t want to stick out. We decided to give it a try and was not disappointed. The best fried chicken I’ve eaten in my life. My husband had ribs which he also loved. We had the brussels appetizer which was the best we have ever eaten as well. We contemplated getting the ribeye, but were completely happy with what we had, although it looked amazing (ppl next to us had it). The staff were very welcoming and didn’t make us feel out of place. Too bad we live in Alabama and can’t visit again anytime soon. Thanks for making our last evening visiting Glacier National Park amazing.

Amazing! We found Whitefish Distillery in a local publication called Flathead Living. We're always looking for new eateries and Whitefish Distillery did not disappoint! From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed. Clintin was an excellent bartender and host. The service was excellent and the food was amazing! We enjoyed the braised beef. Clam chowder was very good! This is a small restaurant. Reservations are a good idea. We enjoyed an excellent meal and spirits! We highly recommend Whitefish Distillery!

My wife and I consider ourselves to be foodies, and Whitefish Handcrafted Distillery completely blew us away. The steelhead and short ribs were just amazing. The cocktails also exceeded expectations. I wish we lived nearby and could eat here more often, but if you have a chance to stop in, you will not regret it.

Wow, very impressed with this restaurant! My boyfriend and I got cheviche, lamb, and trout, all was beyond delicious! Front of the house staff was friendly and made some awesome drinks, I got a huckleberry margarita (12/10) and my boyfriend got an old fashioned which he also enjoyed. The overall vibe was relaxed yet still sophisticated, definitely a place that will stay in my memories as an amazing meal. My only wish I had was that the fish portion of the trout was slightly larger but it was cooked to perfection :)

We hired Whitefish Handcrafted Spirits for a private event and they went above and beyond! The menu was customized for us, the layout was beautiful and the food and craft cocktails were incredible. I have to say I knew this going into hiring them for this event as my husband and I regularly enjoy this establishment and their daily menu. I highly recommend checking out this little slice of heaven and seeing for yourself! Food and service are top notch, thank you to the crew for all you do!

We stopped in here on a recommendation of a coworker because I live right by here and didn't even know they served food. We ordered the garlic bread, falafel, and my mom got a burger. We loved our food and our drinks. The staff was super friendly and everytime someone came in the door they always greeted them and helped them right away. There was limited seating but everything worked out and while we were there no one had to wait for a table. We will definitely be going back.

Cute place with a vintage vibe. Every piece of glassware is unique as well as the fixtures.
Staff are friendly and are attentive.
Chips and salsa we made fresh and chips were warm when served. Salsa was not spicy but packed with flavor.
We had the chili verde tacos. Pork was tender but tasted nothing like chili verde. The pickled vegetables really added to the flavor of the taco. I recommend that they add a green sauce on the side.
Drinks 🍸 are also unique and made with precision. The drink is as beautiful assthe glassware it is served in.
Cigars are also available.

Okay, this place is EXCELLENT! My wife and I went in for lunch and can't wait to try out their dinner menu on another day. The food was incredibly flavorful and really was unique. I had the fish tacos (Amazing) and the chips and salsa were again unique and tasty. My wife had the burger and fries. Same for them. You just can't seem to get enough of it, but it was a good amount of food for the price. I also had a drink that was very good as well. The drink menu is probably the most diverse I have seen in awhile. Can't wait to go back. Wish I hadn't driven by every time thinking it was just a place that sold alcohol. My bad.
