Our first time eating here. Every employee in the restaurant was friendly and warm. The food was delicious and the prices were great. It was a little bit of a ride for us but we will definitely come back. Had a great time

We had Natalie for a server and bartender and she was fabulous. She took great care of us by providing outstanding service. This restaurant is adorable with a comfortable chic atmosphere the food was delightful. We enjoyed our visit and would recommend stopping at this location for lunch if you’re in the area.

Went for an early dinner last night with my family. Our host gave us a nice table by the fireplace. The ambience and decoration is nice with good taste, on a Friday late afternoon-early evening the bar was busy but restaurant not so much. Service is quick and attentive. Menu is varied, which I particularly appreciated - my opinion is that Ridgefield lacks places like this; however, the variety is also met with really quality and good tasty food. We ordered, calamari, burrata salad, chicken milanese, shrimp and corn chowder, Farm burger, seabass, tiramisu, and cremebrulee, among other things and they were all really good.

Will return. I recommend the place.

My partner and I intended to bring our little family to somewhere else, but when I called THAT PLACE, they informed us that they were very busy but we were welcome to try and get a table(with a kid? Lol maybe some other time, thanks).
A quick search for an American dine in place brought me to Barn Door and based off their menu, I gave them a call to see if they required a reservation and the person who answered the phone signed me up for a reservation right then and there(in such a friendly way I was already halfway there before I realized what happened!)
The parking lot is actually a one way who's entrance is off the main road. There are additional parking spots in front of the building. There really isn't an area outside to eat aside from the tables lining the parking spaces (where there's a car grill up against your table and no barrier...) The exit is out to a side street which makes re-entering the main road easy.
As you enter, you're greeted by a small hostess area and a pretty popular bar. The dining room is a little cramped. The staff are friendly and helpful and quick! They bolted around making sure all the guests were tended to and satisfied with their service.
Now upon initial inspection, the menu looked a bit pricey for a roadside diner/bar, HOWEVER, it was worth every penny. My burger(well done) was juicy and flavorful and mixed responsibly with it's burger toppings. My partners burger(also well done and well made) had a little too much sauce(could be too much, could be in need of layering adjustment 😉) but delicious, nonetheless. The fries were crunchy, tasty, and fresh!
Our child, with their discernible pallette, had buttered noods. We requested parmesan cheese(like heathens 🤣🤣) and they produced freshly shredded( 😳 )parmesan. 8-year-old approved pasta 👍 👍

Pros: service, food, price, drinks
Cons: parking, dining space utilization, tap water
Total score 1-10: 7

We are visiting from out of state and came in as a party of 12 with no reservation on a Friday night. Teuta, the hostess with mostest, quickly pushed a few tables together to accommodate us and we were seated in less than 10 minutes. Natalie, our server was fantastic. She didn’t write anything down and managed to efficiently serve our table, including children and special requests, flawlessly. She was so patient and sweet and her food and drink recommendations were impeccable. Food was dynamite! Atmosphere was top notch. Such an overwhelmingly perfect dining experience. Nice job!

Barn Door is definitely one of the best restaurants in the area. They have a quality wine list is and the food is somewhere north of comfort basics with a seafood enthusiasm..which we recommend trying. I would say that it is good for dates as well as nights out with the family. The Barn Door lives well above standard suburban mediocrity while not abandoning it's local charm.

Found this restaurant quite by accident but what a nice experience! Good food and drinks; warm, busy atmosphere and attentive service--all things we look forward in a restaurant! Only drawback--my husband and son felt the beer list could have been bigger.

This is a very nice restaurant very close to the Ridgefield Playhouse. As you enter there's a bar to the left and a separate dining room to the right. The dining room is very nicely decorated and despite the hardwood floors and lack of booths, it's not noisy at all - a frequent complaint I have of other restaurants.

I had a steak salad and my dining partner had Sole Francese. Both were delicious. For dessert we had the chocolate lava cake, also very good.

The one ding I can give it was the service wasn't the greatest, but certainly not bad at all.

This gets a high recommendation.

This is a very popular restaurant with good service and interesting dishes with a surprisingly good presentation. I ordered their lunch, special,l tuna dish. It came with seared tuna files on a salad. It was very good. I recommend it.

Excellent food. Great service. Quaint ambiance, generous portions. Any questions? We drove by this place for years, looking at the full parking lot, saying, “We should go!” We finally did and wow, was it worth it b

Wow! The prices are so reasonable and the service was outstanding! We spent a good 3 hours here, first as a couple for dinner, then moved to a bigger table for drinks with friends. The Maine Muscles and the Littleneck Clams were off the charts! I was in food heaven, dipping the fresh hot bread in the delicious juice each dish had at the bottom of the bowl. Both different in flavor but equally amazing. Dessert! Meyer Lemon Cupcakes; not too sweet, done just right.

We had lunch at the Barn Door with an old friend. We sat in front of the fireplace and relived old times. A delightful restaurant with good food, service, and atmosphere.

Hands down the absolute best meal I've ever eaten. I've tried the polenta and shrimp and seafood fra diavalo and I wish I could eat them everyday for the rest of my life. I'm from rhode island we were working in the area and got lucky enough to find this place. I will be sure to find some excuse to get back so I can try more of their selection. I also had a jalapeño margarita that was pretty spicy and good. For dessert i had the chocolate cake with hot fudge ice cream on top (i forgot the name of the dish) it was also delicious. The waitress was awesome, very friendly and stayed to chat for a bit and suggested a local brew to drink. Thank you so much for the experience!

Stopped in here simply because it was so conveniently located where I was traveling and it was delicious!!! Friendly, laid back staff with a solid beer selection and a nice cold tap. I had the Sesame Crusted Tuna special with a Goose Island IPA.. highly recommend!
