Our pets have been patients for the past 10 years. When we rescued a reactive GSD with high anxiety issues from neglect and suspected abuse, everyone at the clinic went out of their way to make the experience more enjoyable for her. For free, they even had a tech meet with her once a week for 30 min just to get treats and love, and they helped us find a great behaviorist. We are so grateful for the love and compassion they showed her. Since she has passed, we have another GSD who is a huge mama’s boy, and they are great with him as well. They have supported and encouraged delayed neutering to help prevent cancers and hip/joint issues. For our indoor only cat, they have always been very honest about what treatments he needs and what he doesn’t since he hasn’t been outside in his 11 years with us. I appreciate the honesty and not nickel and diming us. Roaring Brook’s vets, techs and reception team honestly care about our pets and family. Roaring Brook Veterinary Hospital gets it. They provide exceptional customer service, they really do care about you and your pet/s, and they provide a professional and welcoming first class environment. Roaring Brook will confirm your appointment in advance, provide a checklist of vaccines/shots that your dog should get (things we were unaware of that are important), and they call you after your appointment to see how everything is going. We took our four month old puppy Gucci there and she felt very comfortable once she entered as they have snacks out for dogs. Dr. Bloom was great with her as well and he gave us some helpful pointers on what to do with her diet. This is the only veterinary hospital we will go to.

I can’t say enough about the Veterinarians and staff at Roaring Brook. 4-years ago my senior cat was diagnosed with kidney failure, and today she is 16 and thriving because of all of the guidance from not only the doctors but the techs as well. So grateful for this team!

I want to thank the Roaring Brook staff for all the years they treated our beloved Harley. In March of 2022 Harley was diagnosed with inoperable cancer of her bladder just before her 10th birthday. Roaring Brook was compassionate and honest with treatment options. It was decided to treat Harley with meds to make her comfortable until this option was no longer effective and Harley was having problems. For 10 months, we would get checkups to be sure we weren’t missing any signs that Harley was having issues. At each visit, Dr Nassar would examine Harley and give us her diagnosis. We felt like we had a true partner with Harleys end of life (Hospice) care working with Roaring Brook and especially Dr Nassar. I would also like to thank Dr Begg for his kind and compassionate final visit for Harley.

I wouldn't trust my Frenchie with anyone else. I was worried to neuter him when I got him intact at 14 months old. He had some accute inflammation post-surgery from over activity at home. The staff went over and above to see him daily for his cold laser treatments (thus the goggle picture). RBVH offers the right skill sets in their doctors /surgeons, a caring vet-tech staff and an "attention-to-detail" front desk staff. The care is not cheap, but the peace of mind is priceless! I recommend this vet hospital.

Roaring Brook Veterinary Hospital saved my cat's life. My beloved cat, Stella, required emergency surgery over the Summer of 2020 and RBVH accurately diagnosed the issue and was able to take her in for emergency surgery the next day, even during the height of the COVID-19 crisis.

I was a healthcare worker in New York City at the time, but originally am from Connecticut. Due to the COVID surge in NYC, I was routinely working 80-100 hour weeks. After several months, started noticing that my cat was not acting like herself. I thought something serious might be happening I rushed her straight to Roaring Brook, where I had previously got my vet care, because I knew I could 100% trust them. Long story short, it turns out she was eating my hair ties and had an obstruction. They were able to take her into surgery the next day and save her life. I am happy to report that 2 and a half years later she is 100% recovered and her normal, happy self. I cannot be more grateful to Roaring Brook for saving her, and am super vigilant about my hair ties now. She is expected to live a full, happy life.

My family started using Roaring Brook for all of our animals a few years ago and have had wonderful experiences everytime. From our dog who is anxious about his routine appointments, to our cat who purrs so much while at the vet's it is hard to hear his respiratory rate, to most importantly how they handled my cat Gimli's emergency and ultimately end of life a couple of months later. Their whole staff from receptionists, vet techs, and vet's have so much compassion and professionalism. I would definitely reccomend them as a vet and more than anything just want to share some positivity their way.

I bring my three Italian Greyhounds to this vet's office routinely and I'm always happy. Everybody remembers us, even by name. The vets are all friendly and willing to answer as many questions as you have. The vet techs are also friendly and professional. Facility is always clean. I love the family atmosphere.

Roaring Brook has been our trusted Veterinary hospital since moving to the area 5 years ago. Our dogs and cat have always been treated with gentle and compassionate care and the staff are awesome to work with.
Working in an animal hospital has to be an emotional rollercoaster for employees, especially during the pandemic. I trust Roaring Brook with my pets. I have been with another vet in Avon for a while, but I was not happy the way things were handled, and decided to switch.
Two of my high risk dogs needed dental work, and Roaring Brook treated them both with such care. I was very pleased as there was no complications and the recovery was so quick. One is a small chihuahua and the other was a senior greyhound. The staff here as well as the doctor show compassion, it was so obvious how much they cared.
After my dogs healed they were so different, they were happy running around again and being more alive.
Another one of my dogs had a swollen eye and again the care we received was outstanding.
I trust everyone here and will continue our relationship as long as I keep rescuing.
My biggest appreciation for this practice is the display of affection when we had to say goodbye to two of our dogs. The doctor came to our house, we didn’t have to bring them to the office and we respectfully said our goodbyes where they were comfortable. Shortly after we received a condolences card signed by all, that was such a kind gesture. They truly care!

We have moved closer to NYC but my 1.5 hours drive is worth the quality of care my fuzzy angels receive.

The Roaring Brook team have been tremendous partners to us as we deal with our dogs not getting along. They offer us non-biased alternatives, empathy and timely follow-up appointments. Roaring Brook is an awesome place to take your pet. We have been taking our rescue dog there for about 2 years. I love getting the email reminders when he has vaccinations or check ups due and being able to make the appointment online. The office is very clean and the staff is very friendly. We are always seen promptly and they take good care of my dog who can be a bit rambunctious in these situations. When we have had an emergency (dog eating something he wasn't supposed to, exhibiting a weird behavior, etc) Roaring Brook has made the time to see him on short notice and make sure he is okay, which we really appreciate. They are also great with paperwork and are happy to send your updated vaccination record to wherever your might kennel your dog.

I've been taking my pets to Roaring Brook for more than 15 years. I moved 2 years ago 2 hours away and still bring my pets to Roaring Brook. All the medical staff and office staff are by far more personal, more knowledgeable, more caring and more stellar people than I've found at any other vet. I don't care how long a drive it is, the service, talent and care at Roaring Brook is Outstanding. My pets received only the best care and their support is innovative without being trendy. Our pets have been going to Roaring Brook Veterinary Hospital for over 35 years. Each experience has been one which exemplified how much they care for both the animals as well as the humans who bring them. No matter if the issue is extremely serious or simply a question -- each issue is treated with the greatest respect and care. When need arises for a specialist, they are extremely selective in suggesting the best outside special care available, allowing the final decisions as to what care is provided to the owner. Frequent calls were made to check that progress was being made by our pet.
As pet care has progressed Roaring Brook has expanded their care to meet new needs. Boarding is available, as are grooming, doggie day care, puppy school and other training, as well as the newest of specialized treatments. I strongly recommend their services! The staff is fantastic (and my dog delights in going to his doctors!)
It should be noted that not only is the animal very well taken care of, but the needs of the human are thoughtfully addressed. When we had to put down our last Golden, we were invited to be a part of both the planning and the process. This gave both us and our pet a sense of calm and comfort.
If my dog were able to write his review, I am sure it would be just on these same lines!

Roaring Brook staff and providers are exceptional. We have brought our pets to them for many years and despite the ups (new rescue pups in the family) and downs (cancer and illness) they have been super caring and just plain wonderful- always explaining options and offering helpful insights. The staff is friendly and takes the time to listen, in our case they have even helped with creative solutions to problems. Without a doubt, we highly recommend them!

We had an amazing first experience with our new golden doodle puppy. The staff was very friendly from the moment we walked in the door. We were seen right away at our appointment time, and Dr. Begg did a fantastic job. We had our first initial checkup with him, and the doctor also got rid of a minor ear infection which is completely healed now. We would unequivocally recommend Roaring Brook to anyone.

I was a customer of another veterinary hospital 11 years ago and was quite unhappy. I was referred to Roaring Brook and I have now been a customer/client for 10 years.
I enjoy the friendliness of the staff, technicians and Doctors. They treat my two fur babies (KC & Nay-Nay) as if they were their own. They are very accommodating with scheduling appointments and always call after a procedure to find out how my pet(s) are doing.

Roaring Brook is a great place for pet care. We first went there with our first rescue dog and he had some health problems. Roaring Brook was helpful and compassionate and fixed him right up. As he aged, other problems arose and they continued wonderful care up until and through the end. A very compassionate finale. Now we have another rescue dog and Roaring Brook is continuing to be our "go to" place for both vet care and boarding. Our dog isn't usually very outgoing but he always gets rated as "friendly" at Roaring Brook. I can only figure it's because they treat him so well!

I can't say enough about Dr. Malouin and the staff at Roaring Brook Veterinary Hospital. They are always smiling, welcoming and comforting to both my dog, and to me!

I have had occasions to walk in without an appointment, and they have accommodated me as soon as they are able. I have always received follow-up phone calls to see how my dog is doing, if there has been any issue that required medical attention. I have even received follow-up phone calls to let me know that everything is great!

The staff are all very knowledgeable, and they take their time with me if I have any questions or concerns, and I've always felt they had mine and my dog's best interest at heart!

I have referred this team to friends of mine, who have also been pleased with the care and attention they've received. It's very comforting to know the staff is there for us whenever we need them!
