Giovanni's Bakery

Never have had an issue with them. They are fair in the prices for the work they offer in making of cakes for functions. They really do look to see you smile as they take great pride in their work. Love thos about them !

I had my wedding cake made at Giovanni’s and it was delicious AND beautiful. They do an amazing job!

Words alone can not describe how magnificent this establishment is. The place is very nice and open and just filled with lots of goodies you want to bite and nibble into. From cookies and cakes to pizzas and bagels, this place has got it all. Specialty cakes is what drew my to this place and boy was I lucky. Not only were they accommodating, they wanted to ensure they got all of the details just right. My hats to Rick for that. Please come here and try everything out. You won't regret it. By the way, you can not by any means just buy one cannoli and be satiated. You'll regret it.

Giovanni’s Bakery is one of the best bakeries I’ve ever been to. The pastries/cakes as well as the customer service is amazing. The girl working there was very helpful and patient as I was being indecisive. They freshly fill cannolis there and they are the best cannolis I have ever had! However, they are a cash only business which is understandable so be prepared! I highly recommend Giovanni’s bakery to anyone, extremely knowledgeable staff and delicious food!

Absolutely an amazing bakery that recreated a cake for me. The details, artwork, and the cake tasted wonderful and received so many compliments from my office and family. Such a nice staff at Giovanni bakery. Thank you again

This place is amazing for desserts and also pizza and their gelato is amazing. I really enjoy buying their muffins they're always really soft and very fresh and they're pastries are the best I have tasted around. I also come here and buy their baked bread which is made freshly daily. I go in the morning so I can get the freshest spread around it is very soft and still warm a bit. I've also tried their Pizza which is really good I do not like a lot of cheese on my pizza so that's why this pizza is the best for me it has very little cheese and a nice amount of sauce. I definitely recommend anybody checking this place out if they want a delicious dessert. I know you will be truly satisfied with the taste.

Ricotta pies are to die for. The only thing that bugs me is that I never carry cash on me and they are an all cash business now. I guess my waistline will appreciate the numerous times I’ve driven by and not been able to stop and grab something.

First time customer after my local bakery closed. Ordered the cannoli cake for a friend's birthday who only eats a piece of cake 3 times a year on his, his wife's and his daughter's birthdays. At his birthday dinner he ate 2.5 pieces and took the rest home. Yesterday he told me he finished it and it was the best cake he ever had. We all concur. Won't be going to any other bakeries anymore. Highly recommend this amazing cake and bakery. Looking forward to trying all the amazing flavors.

Tried their eclair, carrott cake and italian ice. All 3 items were very good. They had a good selection of items to choose from. We'll be back.

The service is amazing, we decided we'd be back before we even tasted the desserts. It was our first time there and the guy behind the counter made us feel like long time friends right away. The tiramasu and cannolis were delicious! My new favorite bakery 😋

We had ordered a baby shower cake and oh boy, they did a fabulous job! I really want to thank the head baker for creating the cake for us. The design was exactly how we had envisioned, the taste was terrific and the pricing was good. What more could you ask for! Highly recommend this place.

Love this place. The price is just right, the owner of the place is super friendly, enjoyable to talk to and will help you In deciding what you want done with your order. The place is kept nice and neat totally clean. I order a 3 tier cake which I was given an incredible price for. Loved the ideas and time spent with the owner expressing the fillings and the decoration of the cake. Definitely had a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend it. I bet you won't find a better price, or service than here.

Two weeks ago, i went into Giovanni's Bakery and talked with Rick about a custom cake design idea to celebrate a friend selling her first house. After reading the other reviews here about Giovanni's I was confident with my choice. I know nothing about custom cakes or decorating, Rick was very patient with me, and we discussed my ideas and he gave me his suggestions. I picked the cake up yesterday and it was flat out amazing, greatly exceeding my best expectations! Everyone at the party was raving about it and it was a huge hit. Thanks again Rick and the rest of the Giovanni's team!!

I chose this place on a whim for my wedding cake as it was near my work and easy to get to. I didn't shop around at all. i went in and showed them what i wanted and he wrote down some measurements and got me a price. the morning of my wedding my MIL went to pick up the cake and had no issues. they packed it wonderfully. I was so pleased, it was exactly what i wanted! I would recommend this bakery to anyone.

Simply the best bakery in town! I grew up near here and this was always one of my favorite treats. Their cookies are so delicious and their angel wings are heavenly (pun intended). Every time we come back into town, we have to stop and get some cookies, and this most recent visit I splurged on a fresh made traditional cannoli.... Amazing! I just love Giovanni's!!

If you want a cake to come out looking EXACTLY like the picture you bring in off the internet and still have it taste great, this is your place... you just have to pay what it's worth for perfection.

Best bakery in Newington! Their tiramisu was soooo good, as were the freshly made cannoli!

Rick has been doing custom birthday cakes for me and my family going on three years now. He never fails to disappoint whether that would sharing his creative idea decorations or the flavors to each cake/layer. Hands down great guy w/ amazing pastries
