Heirloom Market at Comstock Ferre

Definitely worth a visit. This deli / coffee shop / market is located in an old building with lots of character. On a Sunday afternoon it was buzzing with people of all ages. The sandwiches and the coffee were good. There is outside and inside seating available.

This place is one-of-a-kind. Want coffee or a pastry? Got it. Sandwiches? Got it. Virtually any kind of seed you can think of? Got it. An eclectic mix of groceries? Got that, too. Definitely worth a stop whenever you're in the charming Old Wethersfield area.

Comfortable atmosphere, great staff, outdoor seating. What else can I say? This is one of my favorite spot to stop on the way to Department of Motor Vehicles, their hazelnut latte is my absolute favorite with real hazelnuts… their scones with the fresh butter and strawberry jelly are delicious!

Every time I come home to visit family, I walk over to the Heirloom Market in the old Comstock Ferre building we grew up with. Their sandwiches are fantastic and service never disappoints. Today, the wife and I had their killer breakfast sandwiches.

Love love love!! Came here when we went up to Hartford based on a TikTok recommendation and absolutely loved it! The building and atmosphere was to die for! Absolutely precious, very vintage farm house meets Mother Earth aesthetic. There was a coffee area, plenty of food options, more heirloom seeds than you could possibly even imagine, small grocery selection, and plenty of seating. Our favorite area was the greenhouse with a beautiful flower mural on the wall. You can also explore the second level for seating and the “hidden” third level with leather couches and tables. The staff were above and beyond kind and the coffee was delicious. Would absolutely go back and would recommend this location to anyone in or around the area!

Consistently lovely experience here. Fantastic food, coffee, service, and space. Their baked goods are always fresh, delicious, and there's some interesting / "nonstandard" flavor options mixed in there too, which I always love [please make the lemon, blueberry, and rosemary cookies again!!]. The greenhouse is lovely to enjoy on any day and certainly helps me get my vitamin D in and put a smile on my face too. Plenty of various seating options, delicious food and drink, and friendly service. Highly recommended!

Visited this place for a meet up with a friend. Love the atmosphere, looking forward to trying some more food/drinks here in the future.

Stopped in for Heirloom seeds and had a chai latte and a giant salted chocolate cookie. The seed selection is amazing, very impressive. The service was wonderful. Cheerful and efficient. There was so much chocolate in the cookie that it barely held together and I'm glad I had found the napkins before I started in, a bit too difficult and messy to eat but really delicious.

Heirloom market is hands down one of the best hidden gems in CT. Tons of indoor and outdoor seating. The menu items are very fresh and forever rotating. It feels like a historic coffee shop, a walk back in time to the older days in Wethersfield. The food can sometimes be a little bit of a wait but it’s well worth it.

Really cool place, TONS of heirloom seeds. Really great iced coffee n latte's, great organic sandwiches n paninis, and assorted other local farm to store products. Really nice area to walk around out front too! And a nice ice cream store next door

I absolutely loved this place. My first visit here. Like taking a walk back in time. The country feel was refreshing. The rustic natural environment made me want to explore the other items for sale. The greenhouse was allowed me to enjoy my meal in a outside-like environment without the chill of the air nor the bugs from eating outside. The food was delicious. Which also seemed to meet nearly every dietary need. A perfect luncheon afternoon. I look forward to going back.

Wonderful food and beautiful grounds! I love getting an iced oatmilk latte and sitting anywhere on their property or walking all around Old Wethersfield! Love how you can buy a variety of other local items as well.

I came in for a look around and was pleasantly surprised when I got inside. There was an area to order a sandwich, another to order a coffee. There were places to sit and eat or have a conversation with a friend. It looks like they opened up a new sunroom where people could also sit and eat. Vendors were selling their crafts and among all of it were items that they sell, such as flower/vegetable seeds or sauces and jelly.

This is such a sweet and cozy store in old weather’s field. Great for coffee and breakfast/brunch and also they have farmer’s market inside their store. I loved their Avocado sandwich.

Nice place for a light afternoon lunch or coffee. My blt with thick crispy bacon and heirloom tomato was delicious. Plenty of seating indoor and out. Parking out front and in back. Staff was friendly. Lots of heirloom seeds and local goods.

Great historical stop in Wethersfield for an amazing selection of Heirloom seeds plus if we hadn't just come from lunch they had café & tea/coffee in an expansive historic light/open space!!! Very unique places to hangout and enjoy. We also conversed with a West Hartford resident who was warm & friendly, opening up about her family and how we reminded her of them:). Do stop in if you're in this area!

I may have a small addiction to the blueberry pancake donuts and the savory scones... While this place isn't cheap, the quality is fantastic for breakfast (e.g., coffee, pastries, breakfast sandwiches). That said, I've had mixed experiences with lunch. The price point doesn't seem as good for lunch sandwiches and the kitchen output speed plummets when it gets busy. Be prepared to wait if you go during peak times.

Delicious spot! Lots of coffee-esque products, daily specials, seasonal specials, and a regular café menu. We had a quiche special, a roast pork banh mi, and a peppermint mocha - all were 5 star selections. Also contains a small shop for some local goods, at least four or five rooms to sit in, kick back and relax. Gazebo out front, very large parking lot, play area in the back, plenty of heirloom seeds to purchase. Frequented by locals, good spot to just stop by and check out.

Great place with organic produce, snacks, mints, chocolates, maple syrup and bread from VT, popcorn made locally in CT and much more. Lots of heirloom seeds to choose from. Gardening supplies, too. Soooooo many varieties of tomatoes, beans, gourds and more. We had lunch and hot chocolate from the cafe. It was delicious! Many options to choose from for drinks-coffee, lattes, cappuccinos, lemonade. It was a very comfortable place to get a bite. Whole menu is organic and fresh! Bathrooms are wheelchair friendly and so is entrance to Cafe. Very nice staff.

No trip to Old Wethersfield is complete without a stop at Heirloom Market at Comstock Ferre. The smell of bacon cooking hit me as soon as I entered the door. I Love Bacon!
