G Cafe Bakery Branford

If you’re looking for a quick breakie spot don’t even hesitate about going to the G cafe in Branford. The two ladies who run upfront are extremely kind, prices are more than reasonable especially for the quality of food and their drinks are phenomenal. This place is such a gem. Iced chai is a 10/10 as well as their lattes. The “pragels” are wonderful as well. I do wish the music wasn’t as loud but I truly enjoy everything else about this cafe.

The best Jewish seeded rye and the girls behind the counter are great! Especially the German Shepard lover! Been back twice and planning on being a regular

I can not express how amazing this little Cafe is. Every single time I am here I am so grateful for their amazing service, kindness and delicious food. Every single one of the girls working here are literal angels - thank you for helping to make my stressful Sunday work day the best possible and for helping me start the school year with an amazing assortment of treats for my students. 💖😭 Unlike any other!!!!

My first visit to G Cafe was lovely! I appreciated the variety of options, including vegan and vegetarian. All the desserts looked wonderful, my chai latte with oat milk was delicious, but the highlight was the olive bread. It took a bit to decide which loaf to buy, but I made the right choice. They graciously sliced it for me, and I had eaten half by the end of the day. Delicious enough with a pat of butter, but I can't wait to try it as sandwich bread!

What is there not to like! Pastry and bread are freshly made and they draw enough customers to turn them over. It is a great place to hang out...in my opinion a friendlier, local restaurant on par with Starbucks in quality.

Fantastic breads! The croissants and other pastries are good too. Like most small bakeries, the selection gets limited as the day goes on, so call ahead with an order or get there early.

My wife and I enjoy their sandwiches, salads, coffee and desserts. The staff is very friendly and helpful and will even bring your order to you outside if you are sitting at one of the outside tables. My wife has enjoyed the gourmet salad as well as the chicken salad sandwich and coffee drinks. Our food is always very fresh and the portions are very generous. I like rich chocolate desserts and their brownies definitely meet this preference. Even if you arrive after 1pm, they always have a lot of their food items availability. The outdoor seating is nice in the better weather and there is plenty of inside seating.

Overall, a pleasant dining experience.

Wow! Everywhere I travel, I always try the sourdough bread - I’m a sucker for an artisan sourdough and G Bakery has one of the best loaves I’ve ever had. Lucky for me, I actually live in this town! If you’re stopping by, pick up a loaf to take home or to take to friends. Great local spot with kind staff and great food!

This is my absolute favorite place to go to for breakfast or lunch on the Shoreline!!The bread is simply the best!! I love the fact that there are no chemicals and they use all real ingredients!! Everything on the menu is delicious… From the sandwiches to the soups to the salads! I have tried everything!! But my favorite thing about G Cafe are the employees!! They always bring a smile to my face and they’re so sweet and such hard workers!!! Kudos to Meg and Samantha for doing such a great job as co managers!!! And Ani and Madison you are the best!! I was in for business from out of state. Maxine was so kind, gave me extra pastries on thr house to try. Food and bakery are unbelievably delicious. I'll be back for sure!!

Love this place! Best baked goods on Shoreline whether you like croissants or crust artisanal breads. I buy my bread here each week, sometimes rye, sometimes sourdough. For a special treat, I will order an almond croissant. Also the coffee is very good and the cafe is a pleasant space to enjoy a hot breakfast or meet up with friends. Modern Scandinavian vibe with beautiful pottery by the owner’s spouse.

G in Branford is a top notch coffee baked goods and prepared foods cafe. Sometimes very busy, but that's because it's good.

Very cool place! Amazing food and baked goods. Very crowded when we got there on a Sunday morning. That is to be expected. The line moved quickly and we got a table outside. It was nice out there. There is a bathroom a very short walk away. Just ask for the key.

The Josephine loaf is delicious as is their salmon pragel sandwich! I paired the sandwich with an iced coffee and it made for an excellent start to the day! The staff is kind and friendly and the atmosphere is excellent to dine in and enjoy your meal there.
