Hamden Town House

A classic New England diner inhabiting what once was a Howard Johnson's restaurant. High quality diner food served by pleasant and efficient staff. The chicken salad sandwich and chicken alphabet soup or delicious. The special handling need was great. And the deserts looked wonderful! Great hours if you need to eat after 9 pm.

This is my favorite diner in Hamden. The staff there is always great. There is never really a wait for a table. The drink of your choice will shortly follow you being seated. Ordered food shortly thereafter, and cooked to perfection.
Waitresses are super cool and have great personalities. You can sit back and watch them interact with customers on a personal level.
Located off Route 15 (Merritt Parkway) off exit 61. Go check them out and share the experience that so many enjoy. You won't be disappointed.

I was going on a little road trip with my family and the food was AMAZING. I got the bbq burger with fries and they were SO GOOD. The service was great and the food came out almost immediately.

Highly recommended this was a surprise for us after a Doctors appointment we went to this dinner was playing 80's and 90's music... This place is Awesome and kids friendly. This brought me back way back when i had my summer vacation in the Bronx from Puerto Rico when i was like 6yrs old. The Vibe in this place was Awesome. WE WILL BE BACK AGAIN SOON... The waitress was spot on with the items we ordered. She was very attentive with us Spanish lady was on point...

Food is great! I'm a huge fan of their Belgian waffle, the burger is awesome too! The food always comes out fast and the prices are pretty decent

Me and my man went there for lunch today ,I had the caprese Panini sandwich which was grilled chicken mozzarella roasted peppers tomatoes and a pesto sauce, he had the Sicilian panini , delicious right down to the fries , our waitress is from Turkish and she was so friendly with a beautiful smile

I love this family style restaurant!! Very personable, warm and friendly environment. Home cooked meals and great soups served. I love it breakfast served all day!

Went with a group of 18. Great atmosphere. Quick service. Kept my coffee filled - which is most important!

I had the kielbasa omlet - which had great flavor.
One son had a foot long chili dog - which he was excited that he could have for breakfast! He said it tasted great.
My oldest son had the 2+2+2 - said the pancakes were great (but he's 13 so anything tastes good to him).
My daughter had the kids meal - pancakes, bacon and orange juice - she ate it all.

Too bad we don't live in CT - otherwise we would be regulars.

If you want that classic diner with that cozy diner feel, this is the place! Great food, great service, great price.

Warm, welcoming, speedy, and friendly service. Food is traditional diner food and they are very accommodating of little ones.

This was recommended by my daughter-in-law and she was not wrong. We had Saturday morning breakfast. It was busy but no wait for a table. Service was excellent and the food was good too. The big plus for me coming from the UK is that I love to breakfast in a traditional American diner and this is a great one.

My daughter took me because she really likes it and I have to agree. My omelet was delicious! They also have gluten-free toast!

Friendly. French onion soup was awesome. Best sweet potato fries around. Light and fluffy.

Neighborhood favorite! My family and I have been going here for about 16 years. We love it. Food and service are always consistent!
