Atticus Bookstore Cafe

This was such a cute place!!!! The pastries were absolutely DELICIOUS. They tasted fresh and really really good. The staff there was super nice and helpful as well! I asked for book recommendations and the lady at the cashier helped me right away. (will definitely buy those books.) Their books are also nicely organized into sections, which I also really loved, along with even a section for "staff recommendations" which I thought was a smart idea. The atmosphere was super cute and cozy. 100% recommend stopping by and having a quick pastry or food and maybe even check out some books!

What a great find after visiting the art museum! Cafe and wine rack! The menu and overnight oats looked delicious, but I didn’t have a chance to try. I picked up three discount, books and a card for a friend. The crowd was very lively. Definitely a fun gem in town!

Found a new happy spot! A latte with pastry in an awesome bookstore is the best way to spend a chilly day. Great selection of books (15% off hard covers - no membership needed) and unique gifts. Staff is extremely friendly! A good spot for catching up with friends.

Nice bookstore with a small cafe located in the first floor of the Yale British Art Gallery.
Their pastries are above the average cafe, I've tried the "nest" this time and it was a nice combination and not too sweet (but definitely too big).

Didn’t come here enough as a student, but now come here every time I’m back in New Haven. Excellent pastries and food options, and great selection of books and puzzles. The guava hand pie could’ve done with more guava, but that’s sadly to be expected with most guava pastries outside of Miami.

Bookstore + Cafe

Great food with seating and a good selection of books! I personally really enjoyed the croissant, which I didn't ask to be toasted but it was still really fluffy. I also got a hot Chai latte. It did take a while because it looked like rush hour but it came out the right temperature. Not too sweet either!

Also the Bookstore! Love the science and nature section. I spent way too long there 🤭 don't worry, I did end up buying a book.

As the name suggests, a bookstore cafe.Very good one for that matter.The food was decent(it looks much better than how it tastes), the collection of books are decent as well( although some of the famous books were out of stock).Would recommend to visit if you are near New Haven

Thank you being such a delightful and warm human, my friend loves the book I got for them at your recommendation (The Fifth Wound, which Liz described as "a trans Ulysses"). Lovely shop with a nice selection! Love the staff recommendations! Not much of a teen section but the picks are good. A must visit if you’re in the area and like a good indie bookstore!

The place is perfect for a lunch date or just grabbing a quick to go bite and enjoying the books. Highly recommend the squash sandwich!

Loved the quiche and side salad. There was no more room to eat inside at 10am so we ate elsewhere outside on campus.

A little pricey, but the food is out-of-this-world good. Especially recommend the fresh crusty bread and breakfast sandwich. They also serve delicious flakey pastries. This cafe is a regular splurge for my fiancee and I.

I was there for commencement weekend. I usually get an Americana but tried the lavender latte they were offering. It was delicious. I also ordered the Morning Bun. The morning bun and coffee were so good that I had that for breakfast three days in a row. The staff, while facing huge lines, moved everybody through the line with swiftness and were quite pleasant. My only regret is that i didn't bring 6 morning buns back home with me.

This was my first time back in about 10-15 years or so. Intrigued by the offering of a french toast latte that i saw online, i had to get it and the drink did not disappoint! I can’t wait until general indoor dining is safe again so i can spend some time here with a coffee and a book.

My favorite food from last time i was here was the giant lemon poppy muffins - do you still have those?

I can definitely see why this place is popular with students. Cute, nice ambience, clean, and convenient. Food was fresh and tasty, there are several drink options, and service was very friendly.

Such a cute little cafe nook. I just grabbed a cappuccino on a cold day. The menu items looked good. I'll have to try something next time I'm in. It looks like they sell bottles of wine?. I'll have to inquire about that. Nice crowd of folks, safe area. Staff is very pleasant. I will return.

Such a cute little cafe/bookstore. Absolutely love their coffee and pastries here (lavender latte and their rhubarb pastry are to die for!!!). Staff is very nice and friendly. The place is usually pretty busy so seating room can be limited, but if you can get a seat it makes a great place to study or chat with friends! Haven’t looked at their book selection much, but they have lots of cute cards available :)

We loved our coffees and food here today. Freshly made and yum!
It’s also obviously a’major student haunt also serving salad boxes and fresh sandwiches for lunch, and some vino and cider supplies for after the lectures are done.
