The Old Oak Tavern

Great little historic pub. We ordered the Grass fed burger and the clam chowder both were amazing. We finished off our meal with a homemade blueberry nectarine pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Highly recommend this historic Landmark.

To the person who commented on inaccurate pricing, I’m very surprised. I’ve eaten at OO many times and taken out several times. Never had anything but 100% positive food, atmosphere, service AND reasonable prices with huge portions, all perfectly prepared. (Frankly though, I’m not sure I’d even notice a $4 difference on my bill but that’s just me.) This must’ve been an anomaly (mistakes do happen) and sounds like it was corrected promptly and I’m sure permanently in their computer (by the way, both my kids work/worked in restaurants, servers can’t override prices in the system). Sounds like the server did everything right. I hope she wasn’t penalized (her tip) and I hope you enjoyed every bit of what was probably a delicious burger.
I’ll continue to go there and do takeout. Everything about the place never disappoints me.

Great little place which we stumbled upon. We sat at the bar, had a great glass of beer and a delicious burger! We highly recommend this place, and plan on returning even though we live over an hour away.

This place is a amazing find but I don't want you to know so I can still get a table ;). Every meal has been great. Love the Tuna over Noodles

This is one of our all time favorites. The Old Oak is an institution. Great, friendly and hard working staff; A menu that never disappoints — the main menu is one you plan your week around and their specials are often the freshest vegetables, protein, seafood around. Faves are the Gentile Burger, French Dip, Tuna, Philly Cheese Steak, Clams, Salmon and more. We love it here. Henry, Kate, Lindsey are the best. We love walking in these doors - we feel like home each time.

Came in for lunch....Sunday mid-afternoon. Apps, beer, football and everything was perfect. It's cold outside and we needed nourishment and warmth and we found it. Thanks.

Too hot to sit on the cute patio, we ate indoors. Adorable decor, appropriate to an historic building. The food really was the star. Fresh caught halibut on a Mediterranean salad..was so yummy. Everyone at our table left with a happy tummy. And Cookie was a GREAT server!

Old oak is great place , The staff goes beyond , especially the bartender Lindsey They all create a relaxing but fun atmosphere Would definitely recommend Food is alway consistent. Thank you guys

Had a tremendous dinner with friends. The food was excellent. Nachos and guacamole for appetizers, three had fish and chips (malt vinegar supplied for the chips), one has a Reuben. Dessert was an even split between blueberry pie and creme brulee. We stayed over three hours (and 90 past closing) and were never urged to move along. A definite repeat. Thank you Henry and the staff.

Some people will just go to the old oak tavern for the bar tender, but I go for the amazing drinks and food. But a great bartender always helps. Food is always good and cooked to perfection the french onion soup does it for me every time. Thank You.

This place was great. The setting was awesome the food was good. It was nice and overall perfect lunch. The service was decent, the food was hot and delicious and the server was really kind and courteous. There's some seating outside and fireplaces out there which would be great to sit at and have some drinks.

Kind of off the beaten path, and not much to look at, but it has great food and service!

We ordered the calamari and nachos for appetizers. Well prepared. Members of my party had fish and chips, jambalaya, a lobster roll. All reported as excellent. I had the "Build Your Own Burger" with grass fed beef, American cheese, and apple wood bacon with fries and cole slaw. The burger was absolutely delicious!! I would recommend it to any burger lover out there.

Wait staff was friendly and accommodating. If you are ever in the New Milford area, consider The Old Oak Tavern for dinner or lunch on the weekends!! 👍🙂

Always solid! Friendly service, delicious food and awesome tap list. We live locally and this is the to-go spot for an easy, consistently satisfying evening. A comfortable and cozy spot any time of year, love the deck in the summer and the warm feeling of the the dining area/bar in the colder months. Highly recommend.
