Great spot, accessible to all folks since they have an elevator to get inside. Started with French onion soup, which was the BEST I've ever eaten. My ribeye steak was SUPERB, cooked perfectly! The NE warm lobster roll was amazing also. Glass of Malbec suggested by Tonya rounded it out. It was my birthday and it was WELL spent! WELL worth time and money spent. Happy birthday to me!

The bar was packed and the bartender worked the room like a pro. And, the food was delicious too!

Always enjoy every experience we have at Founders house! We started with the escargot which was juicy and tender and filled with flavor! I got the lobster roll and upgraded to the truffle parm fries while my husband got the stuffed shrimp! Both dishes were very good!

Stopped in for early dinner as our first time. Patio seating was really nice and the service was great, though admittedly the dinner crowd hadn't shown up yet. Everything was fresh, flavorful and cooked exactly to order. The ribeye was a really good cut, marbled with fat.

My fiancé had a cup of wine and I had a cocktail made with absinthe rinse. Both were amazing choices. We loved the drinks, atmosphere and server. Server also server me a taster for absinthe since I had never had it before which is very appreciated.

I'm vegetarian and so did not find many things to eat , I visited here after lunch so wasn't looking for any food anyway. Loved the cocktail and will surely visit again.

I can not say this enough. I love founders! The food is delicious, and it's paired with a tremendous atmosphere. Great for date nights with your spouse or maybe a first date 👫 either way, check it out. I promise it won't disappoint!

What’s not to love about this place? Service is speedy regardless of the crowd, typically no wait or minimal and the wait staff are fantastic. I think our waitresses name was Kay, she did a great job with speedy orders, polite and kind service and never let the water run dry! Will be coming back again without question.

My god. Went here on a whim for lunch today. Great patio with a roof, so the sun doesn’t destroy one’s bald head. The avocado rolls are a delicious, fun take on sushi (without the raw fish). The Bloomin’ Bibb salad was yummy, as the candied bacon made it extra sweet. Finally, the open face prime rib was bomb, with the truffle parm fries as the perfect accompaniment. Highly recommended.

Such an awesome little hidden gem in Milford. Neighbor suggested this place and I’m so glad I listened to her. Cute atmosphere, strong drinks, and great food! Will be coming back here! Shout out to Angie too, super friendly and professional!

It is such a pleasure to dine where the employees make you feel like a valued customer. This place is on the top of that list. Our server, Liz, was professional, knowledgeable and made our time there very pleasurable. The food was also outstanding! Polenta done perfectly, and shrimp that were to die for. We will be back!

Finally got to sit there and enjoy the food without having to bring it home. It was delicious like always. The service was wonderful. Gotta love a place that became a favorite during quarantine and is even better after!

Founders gets it. They have divine cocktails & a creative vast menu. The food + cocktails are outstanding! They offer indoor and outdoor seating! The grilled polenta & the beet salad are 10/10. They offer $1 oysters every Tuesday & Thursday. Their brunch game is on point! It's a 3 minute walk from Milford Metro North Station & right in downtown Milford. #supportlocal

Tasty food and great drinks. Service just a tiny bit slow, but the servers are phenomenal. Like this place a lot.

We were not disappointed for our 40th anniversary dinner. It was fantastic. The lobster rolls were huge and the side salad was enough for 2 . As matter of fact, almost everything we got was enough for 2 people. The escargot appetizer had at least 12 , maybe more, on the dish. We even ordered a second helping of the table bread (delicious) to help soak up the yummy buttery juice. The deserts were enormous. My honey cake I took home and ate for 3 evening snacks, Husbands mile high Key Lime pie was the best he'd had. Only suggestion would be to maybe add arugula or some other greens to perk up the salad. Though expensive, for a special meal the cost is ok and the inside ambiance is perfect for us. Sort of old smoky lounge jazz atmosphere . The service was excellent.

A fabulous bite and fantastic venue on the green in Milford CT. Food, service and ambiance all top notch. Highly recommend you try this place.
