Olive Tree

It is a fantastic place as far as the food us concerned. The food is truly Mediterranean with a subtle Syrian twist. It is super tasty and I could have it any day of the week. They did not have lamb the day we were there but their chicken was awesome. Their hummus was freshly made. The place is a cafe style: you buy your food over the counter, pick it up and then sit a table of your choosing. They have a few tables available. I would say that this place us great for a quick bite or a take out but not a formal occasion.

If you haven't been here yet you need to go because the quality is exceptional and there's not a bad item on the menu! Flavor, mouth feel, texture, seasonings all right on point. Service is exceptional very friendly.

Googled this place on my way to NY. The falafel sandwich is amazing. I replaced the lettuce & tomato for baba ganoush and the flavors are booming. Will definitely come back for more off the menu….

Excellent food- got the lamb shawarma gyro wrap, hummus and Syrian salad. Very fresh, full of flavor. Best hummus I've ever had. Will definitely come back!

This is what you want in a restaurant. Clean! Friendly! The food is awesome in taste! You are eating a home cooked meal!! Remember eating at home and the food tasted so good? Go to Olive Tree for a home made meal! you won't regret it........

Olive Tree is an over the top Mediterranean restaurant!

I've gotten chicken shawarma sandwich almost every time. You can order the platter, which will come with sides. I've ordered most of the sides (small salads, humus, grape leaves) and they're all mouthwatering - along with the shawarma!

The restaurant is very clean and grill / kitchen is right in front of you.

It tends to get busy at noon but they’re always quick to cook and get your order to you

When I have the urge for falafel or shawarma wraps I get them from here. A new restaurant opened in my area offering the same middle eastern menu but it didn’t compare to Olive Tree. The best falafel and shawarma wraps in this area it’s worth the 15 minute drive from my town. I always order takeout but they do have some seating inside.

Hummus was flavorful, rice was great, portions for $17 really good. Nothing fancy at all, but great food!!

Finally I found my favorite Mediterranean restaurant in Connecticut. Authentic taste, good price, quick serving, good portions. The owner is friendly and accommodating as well. Hands down, best chicken shawarma in town.

Amazing food! Loved the falafel. Crispy and fresh. Perfect texture. The gentleman gave us generous samples that made us love other food available as well. Really good hummus. First time trying Syrian salad. Very refreshing for a warm day. The pistachio baklava, especially the bird nest version, was very yummy.

The babbaganouch was excellent. Also ordered hummus and tabbulleh. But the eggplant dish actually flavored the other items that I stuffed into the pita. A few minutes before closing I could only order cold items but it was worth it still.

Great place for delicious Shawarma and Falafel. Decently priced. The stuffed grape leaves are amazing. Hummus is good but can be a bit salty at times but over all a very good place for a delicious food. Friendly and welcoming owners.

This is the best Mediterranean I have had. It rivals the best you can find even in NYC. The baklava is sweet but not too sweet, the humus not saturated in tahini, the falafel perfectly moist and crisp. Love it!!

I just discovered that place. I really like their food, it’s tasty and fresh. The staff seems to be hard working good people. I am glad to see that they are successful.
I typically go there for food to go. You may want to know that their portions are huge! You could share a salad with two people.

I typically get the Greek salad with chicken, I haven’t tasted many other options. Never been disappointed so far.

Prior to discovering Olive Tree, I was disappointed by the lack of quality Greek and Mediterranean options in greater New Haven. But Olive Tree is truly excellent. The food is really good. My repeat order is the falafel pita, hummus, baba ghanoush, and mujaddara, all of which are really good. I usually stop by Olive Tree every time I come out this way -- and it's always a great experience.

What a place to eat in or take out. The food is extremely filling and delicious; if you eat in; you may buy some Hummus or Syrian salad to go. I'm guilty as charge. Vegan, vegetarian, and meat lovers friendly, for sure there are meals for everyone's taste.

Food is excellent - made with fresh quality ingredients. You can taste - the quality & refined culture of middle eastern cuisine . Customer service is amazing . Love this place! Great tasting food and staff is friendly. The music is also entertaining as it's similar to my culture. The baklava is amazing! I come here a few times a week for lunch.
