We walked by this place and it looked so interesting that we could not resist. Our parking was about to expire so we had to get take out. Otherwise we would have liked to eat in as the person who worked there was so friendly and helpful in choosing out our meals. We took a lunch special Gangnam style and a bowl and took it to a nearby park. The food was just great.

bb.q chicken definitely has some of the best fried chicken i’ve ever had, it’s so good that i’ve ordered from them 4 days in a row, every flavor is great especially soy garlic and gangjeong, and they don’t skimp on the portion or quality of meat, definitely recommend this place

Authentic Korean culture experience. The inside has kpop music videos and Korean television playing, with a nice selection of imported drinks.

The chicken is juicy and delicious. Be prepared to wait for it! The cost reflects the quality: you're getting true Korean BBQ chicken here in Connecticut. That beats paying for a trip to Korea to get the same thing :)

Look, this is the best Fried Chicken in CT full stop. Great food, great service, great vibe. You need to stop in and have the Honey Garlic wings. I can't get enough!

I came back when it went under new management. Joseph is the new manager and he's awesome! Food is as fresh and delicious as ever. If you like spicy, ask for the Mala wings!

Had this as my birthday dinner recently and it was immaculate.

Excellent service, delicious food, chill place to hang while it was getting ready (was a big order, handled great). Was given water while waiting. Very friendly staff. Got free fries. Five stars and well deserved. Big recommend.

I came down from San Fran to visit my family and we were all craving some Korean chicken. Eventually, we came across BBQ Chicken in Newhall and went in. The service was very nice and the food came out in a mannerly time. Once we got home, we couldn’t resist the smell of the chicken and dug right into the food. This place was very delicious and fulfilled my families stomach to the point we couldn’t walk anymore. I would definitely go again, and if your ever in the area, definitely check this place out ;)

I've been here multiple times and tried almost all of the boneless wing flavors. If I had to pick a favorite, it's a toss up between the Gang Jeong or the Soy Garlic. But I've enjoyed all of the flavors. So glad I found this Korean wing spot.

I love this place so much!! The fried chicken and tteokbokki are both delicious, but what makes this place even better is that the owner is very kind and friendly. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back :)

I tried the secret spicy chicken and the sauce is sweet and spicy (really delicious) and the portions are very generous.

The soy garlic wings came out hot and crispy. The sauce was also delicious. The whole restaurant was clean, and they provided hand sanitizer at each table. This was an excellent spot to stop for lunch after touring Yale!

One of the best experiences you can have in New Haven if you aren't ordering a pizza. Chicken is succulent and savory with any kind of flavor you're looking for. Got the spicy mala, which was great. Joseph was a fantastic host and happy help guide my friend and I through the menu. Don't look for fried chicken anywhere else!

Amazing food & service! I was given recommendations and explanations on their variety of sauces and wasn’t disappointed at all. Chicken was moist and crispy and the Gangnam style sauce was sticky sweet with the right amount of heat. Cool fun atmosphere and didn’t break my wallet, definitely a spot to check out

Had dinner here just before Christmas. We had Ra-bboki and Jae-yook bokkeum, with a side of fried chicken. Portion sizes were very generous. The owner was also very generous - he saw that we were struggling with the spiciness (he had warned us when we ordered) and got us some steamed rice. He also gave us a side of kimchi made with chives that his mother had made, just to try out. Very impressed with the hospitality. The food wasn't bad either!

My sister and I have been to this place a few times now and we have enjoyed it every single time. The first two times was us trying to find our favorites and now we know exactly what we get: cheesling which is this sweet powder cheese dusted over the crispy wings and my sister likes secret sauce, and we get rose tteokbokki with cheese. The service has always been pretty good but last night we met Joseph, the owner, who made our experience even better! He was just so friendly and nice and radiates such a good vibe energy. I love all the K Pop music videos played at the restaurant as well. We can’t wait to go back.

As a Korean, the spiciest chicken is not spicy to me at all but I like this place a lot. It has just enough serving for two people. The place isn't so big so it is not best for a big crowd but perfect for a couple or so.

Always smells delicious when I walk in... Great food. Also I doordash, and when I go there for an order it's always ready on time or earlier.

This is a very different type of fried chicken. It's hard to describe without trying it yourself. It's lacking salt in my opinion, but it has a distinct taste with a little heat on the end, but nothing bad at all. It's a bit pricey for the offering, but it's something I suggest you try at least once

I love Korean-style fried chicken, so bb.q is easily my favorite chicken place in New Haven. I usually go for the secret sauce, which has a slight kick of heat that makes my mouth water just thinking about it. The price may seem expensive, but the small portion is enough to fill me up even if I was ravenously hungry before. Definitely go try them out, you won't regret it!
