Best little hardware store in the area they have just about everything you need

I’ve been to Bills Hardware a few times years ago ,, after recently moving back to the area I noticed its now called North Haven paint and hardware and decided to stop in for paint . It was nice to find that this business still runs in the same family . I’ve been back for a few things since . Terri is always nice ! (and helpful in finding what you need) , if they don’t have exactly what your looking for they’ll even order it for you ! Its original location is also very convenient , not far from the Big Box Stores where you’ll waste an hour trying to find what you need !

nice store that has all your hardware needs. They are a dealer for Benjamin Moore paint as well . All employees are very friendly and are very helpful! Support local businesses and stop in.

I was amazed to see that there are still smaller independent hardware stores still around, especially one located midway between a Lowes and Home Depot. The young proprietors were welcoming, friendly and helpful. What drew me there was the need for Benjamin Moore paint samples which were quickly provided. While waiting for the samples, I roamed the store and old memories and smells came back from the past. Since they seemed to have much the same hardware, plumbing and sundry items carried by the BIG BOXES albeit in lesser variety and quantity, I will endeavour to visit them when I need that particular item and support their small enterprise. Keep up the tradition guys!

Why deal with traffic and lines when you can drive up to the front door and get friendly, knowledgeable and courteous service immediately? Forget about the big box stores, and support your family-owned neighborhood hardware store!

It's hard to find a good to hardware store these days. Warners hardware, what used to be at the corner of Grand avenue and Front Street, was for more than a century our neighborhood hardware store. But they went out of business after home Depot opened in North Haven. today there are very few neighborhood hardware stores left. Which is part of the reason North Haven Paint & hardware is such a gem. They still have a wide array of stock and more importantly they have people who know what you need to do to solve the problem but you confront. Sure the big box stores are cheaper, but it's more difficult to find someone there who knows which wrench do you need or how to solve your problem. The staff at North Haven Paint & hardware are both knowledgeable and friendly

I went to Nortj haven paint because HD was so crowded.
I didnt know what to expect bit the service was excellent ! Very knowledgeable and helpful ! There was just one employee tje day I was there. There was one guy before me , but when it was my turn I had a professional that could answer all my questions with confidence!
The quality of tje paint was excellent !
Will ne going back !

EDIT: PLEASE NOTE "NORTH HAVEN PAINT AND HARDWARE" IS THE NEW NAME OF THE FORMER "BILL'S HARDWARE AND PAINT" AND IS OPEN FOR BUSINESS! Great service and very knowledgeable about painting needs. Paying a little more to keep local places alive is always worth it.

Great customer care, huge selection of hardware from a small place. Easy to find everything definitely the place to go

Always have whatever I need, and on the extremely rare occasion they don't, they will order the product I need and have it delivered as promptly as possible. Also the owner of manager or whatever his position is, the main kid that's always there, is very knowledgeable and helpful. I highly recommend this place.

Great alternative to Home Depot or Lowe’s. The inventory has really improved over the last few years and the employees are always knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.
