ShopRite of East Haven

Cool Jazz shopping. East Haven ShopRite has excellent produce. Recently installed more self checkouts so easier to get in and out. Bakery is also good

I’d say this Store is pretty nice. It’s located in a relatively decent area minus the overflow from New Haven. Parking is pretty decent as well although sometimes it can get over packed. The only thing that I don’t like which it has nothing to do with the store, is around the first of the month every month the local food stamp residence completely destroy the store as if it was Black Friday. Then it takes about a week or so to get everything restocked or so it seems. I feel that the store should be on top of this food stamp rush every month as it happens like clockwork. Therefore they should overstock on all of the items that get routinely gobbled up by the EBT folks. Then they should restock the items AFTER the rush. 🤷🏻‍♂

I'm not an experienced shopper but was able to navigate the store fairly easily. When I had a question I had quick friendly assistance. Good experience all around.
Also, for the area, they have their recycling equipment running just one of the few that are allowing returns. They're are some guidelines,bring a mask and some patience.

Found very helpful staff with selection on a few items limited, but sale items were not scarce. The store is easy to move through and the bakery has some tasty goodies.
Prices on non sale items are competitive, and prices for sale items are very good.

Super busy for Thanksgiving obviously. But decent service and you can do special orders with the deli/fish counters if that's what you need. Thanksgiving orders are available. And there's pie! :) But hurry before they're out of Cool Whip!!! :)

Everything u need as in sweet tooth you can find it in the bakery! BEAUTIFUL CAKES MADE BY ELIZA!!

Have used their catering services for the past 3 years now for our Christmas dinner. They do not disappoint!! Great food and quality and presentation!! My mother was very impressed and nothing impresses her. Way to go Shop Rite East Haven!!
The store also carries hard to find items that their competitors do not.

Outstanding. I need a motorized cart. A young man was bringing in carts, asked if I needed one. Stopped immediately to bring me a motorized one. My experience was the same throughout the store. Thank you. God bless you all.

Products always in stock and if not, you can get a rain check to use the following week at the sale price. You can use store coupons as well as paper coupons to save extra money on their already low prices and sale items. They're taking precautions seriously for employees and customers to ensure safety by wearing masks, gloves, and disinfecting carts as well as registers. The employees are very personable and helpful, too. This is my go-to store for all my household needs.

Nice place, great service. Not to crouded.

I love this store. I always get so much more bang for my buck. The cashier was so very nice. The store is clean, well organized and the aisles are wide.

Busy but good buys

I like the club store items that are offered to customers without having to pay membership prices ( for instance, Sam's Club). You can get the big packages of frozen food, items containers of mayo, etc. AND purchase STURDY shopping bags. Not the flimsy shopping bags that are available at other stores.
Weekly sales are excellent with affordable prices. The weekly digital and the print coupons offer extra savings. Really hard working employees whenever I shop at the store.

They had everything I needed to make my Apizzagiana and shelves were stocked even if not overflowing.
The people were friendly as always.
Garden stuff and potted bulbs now available

Its a madhouse, but organized. Pasta shelves are bare. Everyone making lasagna. Each getting around, and opened a checkout just in front of me. Like this store. Everyone so pleasant. Happy Holidays to all.

Haven't been to a Shop Rite in a while. Not since I worked at one at least. Anyway 5 stars I just started going here but hear me out... the selections of meat is plenty. Found some drinks I never thought I'd ever see. Helpful staff (on their second day believe me I know how that goes) not to mention cheerful staff in general. The place is spotless (couldn't check the box crusher tho lol) Everyone this is not your Walmart or your local stop and shop. This is shoprite they have family values. I'll be coming back.

Great Customer service. I went to cash in some coins coins from the Coin Star machine but unfortunately it was out of service. So i called for assistance and the response was fast... (5 min) not bad at all. So the guy from the front desk did his best by opening it and cleaning it twice but still wasn't working so he offered to count my pennies and dimes etc himself. Shop Rite needs more employees with that same attitude and thats why I give them 5 stars just for that.

Very nice store, I'm not the person that usually does the shopping but when I do, I go to this specific Shop Rite, its convenient location wise and I am able to get whatever is on my shopping list. Bakery has very good selection of breads. The staff us superb! I give this Shop Rite stars

Good experience, got my wife a Beautiful vase of flowers she was so excited when she saw them, the funny thing is I went for something else but when I saw the flower's I had get one for my sweetheart. Thanks shop rite for another satisfied customer.

I like shopping at shoprite. Because it is neither so expensive nor low quality. The quality of the products are very good, the layout and the inventory of the store are optimal, and the products are always fresh. The only thing that I don't like is that the bags in the grocery section are very weak. Sometimes I have to double or triple them.
