Ray is great and explains everything. Called with updates and pricing. We have a subaru outback that was stalling with hard turns and stops plus oil leaking into spark plugs. Other shops would have replaced parts where this shop took the time to clean our new spark plugs and reuse them and cleaned our throttle module instead of replacing to save us money. I appreciated the attention to detail and cost saving measures.

My experience with the management.and mechanics of the shop can described as highly satisfactory. I brought to them my old ailing 94 BMW530i. They gave me back a perky, healthy machine. Ray Muench, the owner/manager of the shop, was amiable, upfront from the start. After having the car looked at, he identified what needed fixing to get my approval before proceeding. After the work, he gave me a printout detailing every item done and the cost for each. Throughout, he was accessible, returning every call promptly in this age of quick-profit businesses, Walter’s is a rarity and quite refreshing!

Went to Walters because the hood of my European car wasn't closing properly anymore. The service was swift, they even provided pictures, and although they couldn't fix the problem, they referred an AWESOME body shop (Honea Autobody) who could help. Great service!

Ray, from Walter's FSC was a true professional and easy to work with. Our Subaru was experiencing an A/C issue that was difficult to recreate. Ray had his guys look it over multiple times, but could not recreate the issue I explained. Instead of taking an easy sale with a new compressor, Ray persuaded me to wait until we could recreate the issue. This saved my family time and money. I look forward to bringing our cars back in for future repairs and would recommend to any of my friends in the Maplewood area.

Amazing service and so friendly! Our office is right next to Walter's and I was loosing pressure in one of my tires. I don't have a foreign car and wasn't in need of any major work but they immediately offered to help me. They were quick and courteous. I really appreciate that they were so willing to help with such minor repair.

They went above and beyond to make sure I had all the information I would need in order to make the most informed decision on whether or not to buy the car. I would have no issue going to them again!

I have been a customer of Walters for many years. From my first experience with them, getting an ancient Volvo checked out so my son could make a trip to the West Coast, to my latest visit,getting a state inspection on a newer Volvo, I have found them to be extremely concerned with keeping the cost of repairs down to a reasonable level while doing a good job and making the car safe and sound.

Walter's replaced an alternator and battery in my son's 2005 BMW 335i less than a week before his graduation from college. During the weekend of my son's graduation the car broke down again-showing the same "symptoms" as before. We had the car towed back to Walter's. Very early Monday morning, Ray called to apologize and said they would take care of it that day. Turns out the alternator had been a bad part. Walter's replaced the alternator (they guarantee work for 12 months) that day and my son was able to get on his way.

They were professional and prompted with the repairs with my Lexus. I will use them again for my next car service!
