Savin Rock Park

Breathtakingly beautiful. We love exploring the boardwalk trail, going down to the water to pick rocks, and walking along the coast with the seagulls. Our son loved the playground but had more fun finding pretty rocks and shells (and putting them back after).

We love walking here, I have a big black German Shepherd who is a sweetie...everyone we meet is so nice.

I was running Savin Rock Half Marathon today and I loved the boardwalk! I missed the sunrise a little but even the photos I took show how beautiful it is. It was a rainy and cloudy day today so I can only imagine how amazing it is on a sunny day. Great spot for a leisure stroll or a run.

West Haven takes pride in their parks. Well kept and clean, a great place to walk and take in the coastal views, soak in some sun, cop-a-squat, read, bike, fish, and enjoy a picnic!

Great views. Nice walk. Pay parking unless you are a resident.

I love visiting the boardwalk. My 2 favorite things are probably that it's very dog friendly and that it's a great place to play Pokemon Go (yes, still!). There is plenty of space for a picnic and benches everywhere if you'd just like to sit and enjoy the view

It's a beautiful location to be on the Long Island Sound. There are a couple of board walks, relatively clean beaches, unobstructed views of the water, a bike/walk path, plenty of benches, and adequate parking as well.
Its a great spot for sunrise or for just strolling or simply to just lazy around.
Would highly recommend it.
There is a nice restaurant - Jimmies of Savin Rock at the park.

West Haven haters will hate...but you know what?...you can't get these views in Waterbury or Ansonia(no offense). People take places like this for granted but that's their problem. Take your puppy on a walk from the nature preserve, across Old Savin Rock; all the way to Woodmont! Where else in CT can you get that stretch of PUBLIC BEACH!?

Back to Stowes today and once again delicious seafood!!The scallop boat for 21 Bucks was great!!

Lovely clean beach. Residents park for free with a parking sticker. Other visitors pay at the meter. Plenty of benches to rest on, paved walking trail, a small field, and lots of sandy space to sit on the waters edge. There is even a playground in the sand for kids.

Savin rock park is pleasant place used to visit once in a week to stand on the bridge near to water and experiencing the breeze.

Feel like a kid who doesn’t have any job, financial tensions and other problems in mind.

A very nice place to walk, explore with friends, enjoy peace of seashore.

Very beautiful park and a great restaurant named Jimmies serves very good food.

Beautiful walk along the shoreline. I def will be coming back. Also dog friendly!

One of my favorite nearby places to rollerblade and get some fresh air on the trail and boardwalks. Great beach spots too, although I wouldn't get in the water here.

Peaceful and Relaxing Beach & Shoreline Area in West Haven,CT. Lots of surrounding Restaurants and Adult Nightlife to enjoy also.

Beautiful day. 🌞 Park had some trash laying around. Bathrooms were clean. Friendly people. Pay to park, non-residents.
