Union League Cafe

This is a beautiful building and the atmosphere is so relaxing. Going out for a special event for anniversary or a date night this is the place. The wine select is perfect. The food from appetizers to desert was delicious all around. I hadn't been here for 9 years and it is still just as good as I remember.

Can you expect anything less? These guys are the very best. Love them affordable, great food, great wine. Staff highly knowledgeable. Owner is great. Very romantic setting weather it's the family or date night they give it they're all. The story the historic view I mean come on everything tied up in one great job guys. Wish you all the success in the world.

Dined at Union League for an anniversary dinner. Amazing food and top notch service in a beautiful space. Everything was fantastic apart from the petit fours (which looked great but were a bit underwhelming).

We visited Union League Cafe and were utterly captivated. What an amazing place! Our only hiccup was the initial challenge in locating the front door. Once inside, everything else was simply outstanding. The wait staff impressed us with their creativity, fun attitude, knowledge, and willingness to assist. The food was celestial. In particular, the soufflé surpassed any we've had in Paris, and the innovative orange twist was a delightful surprise. The atmosphere transported us back in time; the fireplace and the expansive dining hall exuded genuine old-world charm. Overall, this is a phenomenal destination for anyone seeking exceptional French cuisine.

My husband booked this for our 9th anniversary. The stained glass & architectural elements of the dining room are beautiful. The food was great, we'll have to come back near the end of the year to try the chef 5 course menu with wine pairing!
We stayed with the duck confit & drinks, then had the duck breast & swordfish entrées, then finished with a strawberry apricot souffle & chocolate hazelnut creme cake with French press. They even brought an extra blueberry dessert & anniversary message for us.
The place was very clean, including the restrooms. Between the dining room & restroom is the bar, which is a lively cherry wood bar, well stocked with chairs for sitting.

The food was v. excellent in quality, preparation, and presentation; they also had vegetarian and vegan options that were just as well done as the omnivore-focused dishes. The Mushroom Tart and the Butternut Squash Ravioli were fantastic.

Beautiful ambience and decor! Paintings are so beautiful. Food was amazing -finding it hard to find words to describe ! Cocktails are one of the best I have had! Dessert was unbelievably delicious. Highly recommend for fine dining experience.

We came here for a birthday dinner and we all enjoyed our meal. The cocktails were refined and the appertizers and mains were very flavorful. I was especially looking forward to the dessert and was not disappointed! The souffle was like eating a cloud and the eclair was super tasty. Yes, it is pricey, but this is a great place for a special occasion.

My wife and I rencently went to dinner here and had an amzing time. The host was pleasent and courteous and gave us an option of where to sit. Our server, Jonathan, was knowledeable and gracious to us who are not avid fine diners. He made great wine recommendations to us for our meals. The food was cooked to perfection and delicious! Very impressed!

Great atmosphere with delicious French & European food menu. Steak and fries were just perfectly cooked as it should be. All sides were balanced. Salads were also good and well flavored. Gnocchi and also soup with leek were just great! Shrimp risotto was also a catch...

My son and I went here for dinner, and we were very pleased by the food and the service. We were one of the first to arrive for dinner service (with a reservation), so we were able to get a corner window seat.

The Duck Confit was the best thing I had all day. Our server, Rob, was very knowledgeable and made top-notch suggestions regarding the food and the cocktails. We enjoyed the octopus, the mussels, and the filet mignon. My halibut was good, but I'll change up my entire choice next time. We're definitely going back.

Absolutely phenomenal. My boyfriend and I wanted a nice dinner for our one year anniversary and chose this place. We loved it so much, we came back the next morning for brunch! The atmosphere is amazing, the staff is freaking awesome (we had Renee as our server), and the prices are reasonable for the quality and deliciousness of the food. We will definitely be back!!!

Wonderful experience, service was fanatic and very knowledgeable about all the items on the menu and wine pairings. Was totally blown away with the quality and how delicious it all was! Absolutely recommend to anyone as long as you don't mind dropping a few shekels. We had a braised short rib and polenta dish that was absolutely phenomenal as well as the duck confit for appetizer.

I live outside of DC and go to a number of Michelin star restaurants… I will flatly say I have had meals that equalled Union League but never one that exceeded it. Couple in their very reasonable pricing, gorgeous building, great staff and this place is extraordinary. I will be visiting my sister in Milford more often in the future :-)!

Had a spectacular meal here. Everything was first class and delicious. Yes, a bit pricey, but worth it.

Enjoyed our posh lunch at this charming French restaurant! The Panini Provençal was huge as well as delicious! My husband’s chicken club was good. The bread was lovely. Our server was classy and capable and our food was served promptly. The setting was pretty and pleasing. The value was Appropriate for the fancy place that it was. I recommend it!

My dining experience at Union League Cafe is now my favorite dining experience of my life yet! ("Yet" is one of my favorite words. Why limit one's experiences to "best ever"?)
I started with the endive salad with whipped Brie and a sherry vinaigrette. It was a very creative salad and as delicious as it was beautifully presented. For my main course I had the Homard Aux Vin Jaune. If there's a heaven, I hope it's on the menu! If plating is an art form, I was served an edible masterpiece ! My server Julie is clearly an expert and I felt like a special guest throughout the meal. There are not enough superlatives to describe this fabulous cafe!

Had an excellent first time meal here on a Saturday night. Service was prompt and our food was served very quickly - drinks, appetizer, entree and dessert were finished in about an hour. We had the escargot, char, duck and side of mushrooms - everything was delicious! We cleaned our plates. Would definitely recommend for anyone seeking an expensive, tasty French meal.

Dining at Union League is an exquisite experience. From the lovely host escorting us to our table to the DIVINE chocolate soufflé we had for dessert. The service is impeccable, the dining room is stunning and the food is phenomenal. We have dined at Union League twice and are already looking forward to our next visit.

The perfect friend meetup: very professional and careful staff, the best of French specialities, from the amuses bouches up to the deserts, without forgetting about the wines. Atmosphere is cozy, loaded of historical references, just ask your waiter or waitress!
