Delicious coffee. Delicious scones. Amazing breakfast sandwiches. I loved the extra detail of adding a two once cup of fresh fruit complimentary to the sandwich. It's definitely worth the wait, even though it's always a short wait. The staff is super friendly, and the girl in the front seems to keep great composure under lots of pressure. Cudos to her. A great mom and pops styled shop in Hamden. A hidden gem for sure. Also very low prices for their high quality food!! So, make sure you tip your order takerr!!

Overall, food was good. My eggs were good. My French toast was a very generous portion, but a bit doughy. Nice fruit salad. Service was good.

Recently went here for the first time and really enjoyed the experience! It's like a small town bakery/ eatery mixed with a cozy coffee shop. The staff was very friendly, the prices were reasonable, and the service was quick. The food was also delicious. You can tell that they take pride in the food they serve. They have a nice size menu with a variety of sandwiches, salads, baked goods, and beverages. I definitely will be back again.

I have been going here for the past couple of months. I mostly go here because I usually pick up items for this elderly friend of mine. She loves almost everything I get from here from the almond butter croissants to the blueberry scones. She also adores the Hallah bread that is baked every Friday. She loves how it doesnt get spoil as fast as other bread you get; especially ones she say she gets from Stop & Shop. I usually bring her a pastry and coffee, and she would light up as it's a huge highlight to her day. Me personally, I appreciate how this place latte and espresso are strong, and how they have coffee ice cubes ready if you want the cold option.

O! It’s amazing place! Their bread always so fresh and testy. My family’s favorite is multigrain with cranberries and walnuts. The best way to eat it with milk. Also we buy honey wheat bread, what is delicious too. Muffins, scones, biscotti… everything so good! My sister in law take sandwiches from this place. Her favorite with eggplant. So, it’s awesome cafe and bakery.

Soup season! Me and my husband will put in bread orders for us to dip in our soups that we make at home! The cranberry walnut multigrain bread is my all time favorite!!

My wife swears by their delicious breads and I have a soft spot for their muffins. Never ate at their dine in location but we buy their backed goods all the time. If you want delicious, go here.

The food was delicious, and service was great. Can't wait to go again and enjoy their homemade bread. It was delicious and the cinnamon rolls and sticky bun was delicious 🤤. The only thing, it was awkwardly quiet and no background noise or music. But besides that, would highly recommend.

Bread & Chocolate catered a family gathering and we loved everything. The sandwiches were delicious, pastry's were phenomenal and the fruit was to so fresh! strongly recommend and will definitely head to the shop for more food!!

Bread and chocolate is phenomenal. I love their Challah bread (only available on Fridays). Check out their grilled cheese and French onion soup. So delicious. Love this place

excellent! fresh food, great salads sandwiches and breads, not to mention delectable pastries. I love the specials and paninis and if youre not too hungry you have the option of half salads or sandwich or soup and half sandwich. everything there is delicious! one of my favorite lunch stops!

Bread & Chocolate baked my mom a beautiful and delicious carrot cake for her birthday. My sisters and I all live out of state and weren't able to see our mom for her birthday this year due to COVID-19. The folks at Bread & Chocolate were so kind, and even delivered the cake to my mom. She was so happy, and said it was the best carrot cake she has ever had. Thank you Bread & Chocolate! I can't wait to come to your cafe the next time I visit my family. Now I know why my parents have raved about you for years.

Great scones!! Not dry! And they had blackberry! The Almond croissant was excellent and the omlette was large and very tasty. Plus, my husband could drink the coffee!!
