My husband and I recently participated in a shop hop . My husband started talking to Brian about the longarm we bought used. Brian offered to come out to our house and look at it and if he could get it working he would. This was not their brand of machine either . He came out after a few hours she was purring cannot thank him enough and the welcoming smiles of this shop.

Nancy was so helpful, professional and knowledgeable. She greeted me when I walked in. There are many beautiful fabrics in a great variety here, all high quality. I was pleased to see so many wide backs!
I purchased fabric from my absolute favorite artist, Sue Penn, which made me extremely happy!!
The shop has great lighting, easy access, good parking, well organized and had many samples for inspiration. Well worth the trip, highly recommended.

This is a review that focuses on the family that owns this business - their kindness is extraordinary. I bought one of my 2 Viking sewing machines from them many years ago when they were in Southbury. When they moved to Seymour they were very far from me to do business with. I took my machine to them because they are now the only Viking repair shop in Western CT, and they apologetically said it would be a 5-6 week wait. They are so backed up due to Covid. I reluctantly left it - and the next day had second thoughts and decided to pick it up and take it somewhere with a faster turn-around. I am in the middle of a time sensitive quilting project for my daughter’s wedding and my other machine just couldn’t handle it. When I arrived I explained my situation and the owner and asked for the machine back. She immediately and happily got the repairman who happened to be there and asked him if he wouldn’t take look to see it it was a simple problem he could easily solve. Well, it wasn’t simple, yet he was persistent and after nearly an hour he figured it out - and with a smile! He taught me a lot about my machine in the process. At first he didn’t want to charge me, and after I insisted he then said $30 for a 1/2 hour of his time. This kind of service and customer care is very rare these days. Yes, the shop is lovely and well stocked. So are lots of quilt shops. But the people behind the counter are what make this a shop I will go well out of my way to do business with in the future.

Quilts Galore, a knowledgeable staff quite committed to making your visit enjoyable. Some very decent sewing and embroidery machines are available. And if you have no idea how to use either there are some pretty good classes available. Thankfully, sewing is not a lost art.

I'm in Ohio and had a Quilting emergency, I came up short on my backing. This site was the only place I could find. Shipping was quick and I found a surprise in my shipment! Recommend!

Denise was so helpful helping me pick out my fabric for a up coming class. I was also short fabric on 2 other projects that she helped me coordinate with my existing fabric. I couldn’t have done it without her THANK YOU!!

The Yankee Quilter has always been and still is a great place...a great place for fabrics, etc; a great place for sewing/quilting/embroidery classes; and last but not least they have a great owner and a great staff!!!
