Olives and Oil New Haven

The atmosphere was great. The server was nice and the food and drinks were delicious. The food came out faster than expected.

We gave Olives and Oil another visit, having been a year ago and enjoyed an amazing Valentine’s special menu…
We had the calamari appetizer and the garlic bread bruschetta, both were delicious. Such big portions, they could’ve been an entree!
Caprese salad was delicious.
We both enjoyed our drinks, Manhattan for me and Espresso Martini for her… the martini flights looked amazing!
I had the cod special with risotto, perfectly cooked…
The tiramisu dessert was perfect for two, but I would’ve been happy not to share 😉

Everything was great but the Burrata was perfection. Went tapas style and ordered a whole bunch of small plates and it was a perfect cross section of the offerings. Staff was a delight.

Fantastic Italian restaurant in New Haven, Connecticut, excellent food, Chardonnay wine, excellent coffee, pleasant atmosphere, fantastic space, very pleasant.

Sam and Amanda were absolutely spectacular. The manager and regional manager came over to check on our evening. I was here with friends for my birthday and they made it extra special‼😊

I went there for st. Patrick’s day and it was a really great and fun place. I had the “notorious P.I.G” drink and it was pretty good. It comes with cute floating pig! The best drink is called “Basically the best” and it was phenomenal! Very fruity flavor. I ordered a meatball pizza and it was delicious and tasted fresh! Never knew ricotta cheese on pizza tasted so good. Kinda wish more meatball was on it though. Next afternoon I really wanted to try the fresh spaghetti with meatballs and it was great. Friendly waitstaff and bartenders. Definitely will return again.

Amazing food and atmosphere. Just wish the espresso martini flight tasted a little better. Overall good food.

Must try Espresso Martini Flight! Manager Eddie and waitress Brie were awesome at helping recommend items and making sure our party was all set. My friends and I really enjoyed the calamari appetizer, salads and salmon. Would highly recommend as a fun place to grab drinks with friends.

We went for a end of year thank you lunch for work. The food was good and served family style. Their steak was cooked well and their fingerling potatoes were one of the best I've had. Their pasta was good as well. All options we had many of my coworkers enjoyed. Nice atmosphere and space. Parking nearby if needed or street parking available.

We went there for a pizza making class, it was so much fun!! Jose was our teacher he was fantastic!!!

My family brought me here for my birthday celebration dinner & I couldn't have been happier! Manny was a very attentive server & all the food & drink was beyond delicious!! You will have to park in a garage ... Temple St Parking Garage - $8.00 for 2 hours

Cool place! We stopped in for their Happy Hour for a few drinks before a concert. Cocktails were awesome! We got the Notorious P.IG. And the Lavender 75, both were delicious. The P.I.G came with a little rubber squeak pig that we just had a blast with the rest of the night. I forget our bartenders name, we came on Wednesday 3/22 around 4:30p, she was very nice and drinks were great. Definitely recommend stopping in for a few cocktails next time your in the area.

Had a great experience here. Couldn’t get a reservation but managed to get a spot at the bar. All of the bar tenders were attentive and knowledgeable. Food selection was great. Pasta and pizza were so great and portions were a good size.

Good place to hangout with friends. Don't forget to try their 'The Notorious PIG' drink. Food was good, our server was friendly. If you’re planning to visit near Yale University, this is a must-go place.

Manny was amazing! This service, attention to our questions and suggestions made it a great visit to our very first new Haven restaurant for vacation. Food is amazing and the number of vegetarian options are worth your time to check this place out !

Everything was delicious, brick oven pizza was done right, crispy crust, not too many toppings. Red sauce was flavorful and not too acidic either. Good meatballs and the clams were pretty good too. Never refilled my Diet Coke, but not enough of a knock to lose a star.

I took a pasta making class here on Saturday with two of my girlfriends and it was the best $55 I've spent in a long time. I wish I could give this 10 stars. We signed up through air bnb having not much idea of what to expect and left with with belly's full of delicous pasta and hearts full of inspiration. The class consisted of just the threw of us and Chef John Dough was extremely patient and passionate about his work. We made three varieties of pasta and then JD prepared them in different ways for us to eat and paired them with wine. Everyone in the restuarant was friendly and kind from the second we walked in. I will definetly be back for dinner the next time I'm in New Haven and recommend to anyone looking for an authentic, upbeat Italian meal. Ps. Dont leave without trying the meatballs!

Enjoyed it ! Super chic modern meets classic Italian dinning! Dark furniture, dark walls, warm moody lighting. Awesome details with pig/octopus. The. Food. Is. So. Great. My palate said " wow ". Not what I expected. I'm not from the area, I expected a standard " heavy on the tomatoes" Italian place. Not what is going on. I was so excited when my food arrived to my table. I ordered chicken milanese. It was a great portion, fresh greens. Not oily. It was fresh and inviting. The mix drink menu is the positive product of posh hipster taste. Absolutely amazing. Wine list is also good with some niche gems in there. Worth every penny. Service was awesome. Professional. Clean. Restaurant also is clean. I peep floor boards and chairs. Didn't see anything gross. If you're thinking of trying, just do it, life is short. If you're expecting run of the mill Italian you will be excited to find something so much more invigorating for your palate. Gluten free and veggies options, unsure, just ask the staff.

Came here for a work outing/team building event and had a great time. We were briefly taught some basics of pizza making and then we each made our own (with supervision). The whole thing was a lot of fun; I recommend it for a small team looking for a low-key event.
