Jimmies Place

I’ve been driving by Jimmie’s Place my whole life, and after 25 years of curiosity, decided to stop in! It gives dive bar vibes, but WOW is the food incredible! I was seriously not expecting the variety of wing flavors on the menu, and the creativity at that! We absolutely loved their sour cream and onion, dill pickle, and honey Cajun flavors, and our pretzels with homemade queso and Mac and cheese were fantastic! The food came out quickly, and our server was friendly and attentive. I’m so glad I finally stopped in and I plan on coming back the next time I’m craving good wings and comfort food!

The food here is unique and meat heavy. The only vegetarian options are salads, unless you are pescatarian, then there are a few seafood options. Their specialty is wing sauces. There are a wide variety of choices for wing sauce and they let you know which ones are popular. You can get the wing sauce on wings (of course) as well as on a chicken wrap. Servings are generous. The place offers a large bar and seating around that. It's busy on the weekend, so you may want to make a reservation. The wait staff were very friendly and helpful. The place also has an active take-out business.

Big hen wings : cooked perfectly and the sauce was so full of flavor. Wing snog here. 10/10

Alabama chicken sandwich: I guess the man cooking it is from Alabama because he CRUSHED the sauce on this chicken. Cutlet had plenty of actual chicken meat and the bacon wasn’t fried to hell. 10/10

Drinks: not too strong literally just the right amount

Dessert: warm homade cookies. BOMB. 10/10 gooey sweet and pretty damn big.

Atmosphere: good music attentive staff and clean!

This place is a hidden gem among the routine garbage.

So I went for Halloween night, few drinks and sit in the bar. Atmosphere it’s nice , good music. We ordered famous chicken wings , in my opinion I didn’t like but my boyfriend love it, too hard for my taste. Staff is awesome , bathroom clean and place clean.

Very old school type bar with speedy bartenders. The menu always has a surprise. Always the most friendly people there. You can tell Everyone is there to enjoy good food and have a nice time... everything from braised short rib, BBQ ribs, honey hot chicken ect... the menu changes weekly. Walk in!! Have a good night out!

The wife and I went to Jimmies over the weekend. She got a burger and I got the Philly Cheese Steak grinder. They both came with fries that were delicious. We found the food to be very good and filling at a reasonable price. They have great beers and service also.

My husband and I went for the first time to see if we would be able to bring a family crowd, but it's too small. However, the service is excellent, the food came out hot and was delicious, and the atmosphere was calm. One of my favorite things was the steak and cheese egg rolls, a must try. Yes, we will go again and even buy for take out.

My fiance and I love this place. The food is amazing, the staff are very friendly, the service is great, and the specialty drinks are always good. Just the best little restaurant you could go to. Highly recommend.

Ordered the Philly cheese steak tonight and it was really really good!!! I’ve been craving one and this hit the spot. Love their fries too. Filling and fantastic!

I recently l placed a delivery order on Grubhub. There was an issue with an item availability (in fairness it was pretty late) and the meal was ready with no Grubhub driver...a quick call and teh friendly reception led to a quick resolutionand an offer to deliver personally to my door; just so my meal would arrive hot. Jimmies Place stepped up when Grubhub fell off. I can't say they will do this for everyone, but I can say with my experience that they care about their customers and the customer experience. I value this as much as I value quality food, which I will also say was amazing. I had a French Dip which came with thick cuts of meat, generous amount of fries and had an amazing flavor profile. The Asiago bread added a new dimension I never knew I was missing. THE Au Jus was perfect, lightly salted but with a hearty flavor. I meant to take a picture but just wouldn't stop eating after the first bite. A great business to support; I'll be ordering here more often!

Jimmies Place is literally my favorite place to eat, hands down. The food and drinks are absolutely delicious, the environment is welcoming and the ambiance is great.
The staff are excellent and the service is impeccable. If you haven't gone t Jimmies Place yet, you're missing out.

I've been coming here for many years. The atmosphere is very warm and relaxing. The food is delicious with so many options to choose from! A definite go to for a great bloody mary or one of the best espresso martini's!

Great staff, one of the biggest chicken sandwiches ive ever seen, amazing homemade nachos!

I had my birthday party at Jimmie’s and it was incredible! The staff were very accommodating, we had everything we needed and everything went smoothly. The food is amazing, the drinks are amazing and love the atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Can’t say enough good things about this place. Have been going here for years but lately the food has gotten even better! Enjoyed a Barrata salad and WOW! Amazing! I would recommend this place to anyone. Best joint in downtown Seymour to enjoy great food and a drink! And very reasonably priced! Bartender was friendly, rest of staff was friendly. It’s what you always expect going to a bar/restaurant. A++++ all around.

Always an amazing experience at this neighborhood bar! Am a new resident to the area and really love this spot for late night bites… or a drink at the end of a hockey game! Bri is the best bartender! And all the food I’ve had so far is amazing! Not to owner: please please keep the Shepard’s Pie Eggrolls on the menu!!

A nice slow paced bar. Bri is an amazing bartender and the food is wonderful. Taco tuesday’s are great for $2 tacos! fridays get busy so get here sooner rather than later

First time here, came here with some friends. Heard great things about this place and it was true! Little hole in the wall bar, which I am a huge fan of. We ordered the Philly cheese steak rolls which were bomb. Also got wings and loaded cheese fries. The portions are great! Everything was delicious, can't wait to come back and try other items. The service was amazing. Sam is one of the best servers I've had. She is very attentive and kind. Went up to the window to compliment the chef's and he took the time to chat for a moment even tho he was extremely busy, which was nice. We will 100 percent be returning!

Can’t say enough great things about this place! Chris the owner, stand up guy. Along with ALL the bartenders. Can’t beat taco tuesday, wing wednesday, and every time in between. Check it out, you won’t regret it!
