What I like most about Planet Fitness is the affordable price, the Black Card Membership that allows me to access to any Planet Fitness in the country when I travel, and the friendliness and professionalism of Planet Fitness employees. Great gym. The staff are incredibly helpful l. The rates are very good and reasonable. There is a wide variety of machines and exercises to choose from. The gym accommodates a wide range of people. The thirty minute work-out is especially good if you are in a hurry. The gym is in a very good location as there are many stores nearby. I highly reccomend this specific location for anyone.

As someone new to the area, I was thrilled to have a Planet Fitness so close to my home. The staff is warm and friendly - and, there is lots of equipment to choose from for my workout!. Thank you!

Planet Fitness New Haven is my neighborhood gym, close to where I shop for groceries, etc. Desk staff are always helpful. I'm lucky to be able to choose times/days that aren't too crowded, so parking is easy. My fellow gym-rats are conscientious about cleaning their equipment, so even though most of us are maskless, I feel safe.

Front desk folks friendly & helpful. Facility clean and well maintained. Good vibe for working out.

I Dont trust them.anymore. Been going here five years. Obviously they fired last Manager. This one tells me to pay a 14$ a month addition to bring my son. Everyone I see brings there kids never did this. So then I question why not just offer him his own membership cheaper. Gave some excuse, which he should have just said he was trying to get extra money. Manager seems nice but this caught me by surprise. Especially when I know several members bring their kids, no upgrade. Idk if I'll continue coming here.

This location isn't the same from the last time I visited. This used to be my main spot to come. The staff was friendly and the gym was very clean. Now the staff barely acknowledge you. They stand around talking amongst themselves, maybe that is why the gym isn't the cleanest. Bathrooms were disgusting and no one was wiping the machines down like they use to do. I pay almost $30 a month for this. Unacceptable yall have to do better.

Love the layout of the gym, the staff is friendly and professional, and the atmosphere of the gym is such that it's easy to work out and stay focused.

The GYM is extremely clean and the staff are friendly and always accessible. You will always find them cleaning, answering questions if you have any and always pleasant.

I like the fact that I don't have to pay additional fees for a trainer. The trainer, Jay, is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and accessible.

Love, love love the atmosphere and the people in this club!!!

This location is very quaint and cozy. They have up to date machines and plenty of cardio and strength machines.

I will always keep coming back!!!

The Amity Planet Fitness crew are welcoming and cordial when I come to work out. The facility machines have been spaced out to promote natural distancing. There is plenty of cleanser and hand sanitizer to keep the machines wiped down before and after I visit each station. Honestly, I feel safer working out here than I do at the grocery store.

Staff is always friendly and helpful. Gym is very Clean and i feel very comfortable working out there.

This Planet Fitness is clean and the employees are very friendly- at least those i interacted with 😜.
But seriously, this is a perfect bare bones gym!!

I have been a member of Planet Fitness Amity Road New Haven, Connecticut for ten years.
-as a result have seen many of the management come and go which can sometime be the case with gyms that are corporate.
I don't know the manager that well but clearly he does a good job because the gym is always beautifully clean and well kept.
But it is their Assistant Manager, Steve that I wanted to take the time to comment about.
Steve is a great Assistant Manager and would easily make a fantastic Manager.
He knows the importance of greeting you and smiling and being pleasant as this makes you feel welcome.
He takes the time to listen to you and knows the importance of being heard by an individual member and whatever is on their mind.
He is totally engaged in his job and clearly cares--and that comes through and makes all the difference in the world.
I wish Planet Fitness Amity would stop changing Managers and Assistant Managers every so often though.
It really does matter to most members to come in and see the same staff as it gives a more family type feel.
But whether Steve stays in Amity or goes elsewhere within the company, Plane Fitness is very fortunate indeed to have such a good employee.
His authenticity and genuineness shine through.
There is never the generic greeting with him. Like saying How are you but not really caring and just saying it mechanically. Steve cares.
I wouldn't even be taking the time to write this review if it weren't for the fact that I think he does an outstanding job and deserves it.
Another employee there--Brian is also a great guy and valuable asset to the company, as again-he always smiles and makes you feel welcome and most importantly, that it's genuine.
I hope the two of the stay at the Amity location, but if they do not and move within the company elsewhere, they will, again...be an asset wherever they go

This location was my first, true gym experience and I was definitely "gymtimidated" going in. But the staff had always been there to assist me with anything I needed. On the first week, I wanted to start tracking workouts on my watch, but was unfamiliar with the equipment; They went around and made me a hand-written list of all the machines, so I can match them with my workouts. They've always been available, friendly, knowledgable and patient with my questions. The staff may be fitness focused, but their #1 goal is member satisfaction. If you're trying to achieve your fitness goals, but you're a little nervous about working out in a gym, this is the place to go if you want to succeed. (And when you go, tell them Cliffpro sent you.)

The gym equipment was clean, and the staff was wonderful.

Its a judgment free zone and the staff are awesome. Always smiling and having fun among each other as well the members. Its a place to escape if your having a rough day! Talk to the staff they'll cheer you up!!
