Westville Seafood

Our first visit was Sunday in January 2024 for lunch. We ordered a fish and chips dinner and a fish sandwich. The order came up quick and hot. The staff was very friendly to us. We really enjoyed the meal.

Me and my husband went here for lunch yesterday ,best clam strips I have ever had soft tender nice he had the lobster roll which I tasted was omg outta this world definitely will go back

Not by the seashore, but provided tasty seafood. Nautical decor makes up for its distance from the water. Plenty of seafood choices available. Got fried clams and fried shrimp lunch specials. Reasonably priced. As much inside seating available as possible, and outside seating, too. Would totally recommend and return, if in the area.

Was in the mood for some seafood and decided to check this spot out. I ordered some fried shrimp and clam strips. When I got in the car I planned to just try a few clams..... 15 minutes later I ate everything before I got home 😂. I will definitely be coming back to support this establishment

Westville seafood has good fish and chips. I appreciate a lightly seasoned fillet of fish, where i can taste the fish and not the season that should complement it. So kudos for that. The fries are crunchy. However, the one thing that took the best taste was the coleslaw. Wow! I am not a coleslaw guy. I tried the portion that came with my meal and i devoured the whole thing. I need to learn that recipe.

I was so surprised by how much I loved this place. Staff is super nice and friendly and the food is fresh and delicious. I'm not a seafood person but I got the lobster and it was the best thing I've had all month

My mom has been coming here since she was a kid. I now have a daughter myself. We all currently live in Massachusetts but still find reasons to visit CT and NY. she made it a point for us to go here for good seafood and prices were surprisingly good. Service was sweet.

Steak and Cheese with peppers, onions, mushrooms Sub is the BEST EVER!! It was extremely flavorsome and delectable, very filling and flavored so well! Very good!

Lovely and sweet owners / staff (?) - surprisingly good quality fresh seafood - the portion is amazing. Will certainly stop by next time - very easy access.

You HAVE to get the lobster roll! Warm buttered roll, lobster cooked perfectly! Onion rings as a side, really good, thin, perfect.

Overall this place was clean . The staff was friendly and the food is good . We had the flounder . Shrimp, clams, hotdogs and Georgia hot.

My husband and I stopped for lunch. Very clean, friendly, fast service and great tasting food.

GREAT FOOD! Especially whole belly clams, which I have not been easy to find lately. Definitely would go again.

The prices are spot on the cheapest FRESH fish and chips in the area. Selections are fantastic and they have a dine in section that is amazing. The cashiers are pretty and friendly. I will be back.

I've been in the area all my life and this location has been many restaurants. The first one I remember is Big Top. A lot, in between, have been dives. Didn't mean the food was bad, but it gave that impression.

So that's what I thought I was getting when I decided to give Westville Seafood a try recently.

First, it was clean. And the dining room in back was clean and neat and semi-inviting. And even though they only have a small parking lot and it's more of an industrial setting, they put a nice deck in back with seating that is probably pretty nice in the warmer weather.

As for the food.... very pleased so far. I've come here three times so far, and I've ordered the clam strip roll, a footlong hotdog, and a cheese burger. The clam strip roll was full enough so that I had some extra to eat after I was done with the roll. The hotdog tasted just right, and the cheese burger had a great consistency to it and tasted great with a nice serving of cheese. The buns were fresh on all three. If any of those attribute don't happen in the future, including serving size, I'll be disappointed, but they've earned one "get out of jail free" card so far, so I'd probably come back again to see if it was an anomaly.

I'll definitely be back.

Excellent place to go have lunch. Lady at front was helpful and accommodating. Portions are generous, food is great. They have an awesome seating area in the back with a full bar and nautical theming. I would wholeheartedly recommend eating here.

Great food. Very delicious. Ribs that fall off the bone literally. Perfectly fried Whiting fish & Shrimp. My favorite new spot. Hands down will definitely be going back again and again and again... Absolutely loved everything I've had this far. It's a must try they have a little something for everyone.

Love, love, love this place! Found it completely by accident on one of many trips to New Haven. I worked at Captain's Galley for years, so I like good food & good portions. This place aces both! I've never had a single thing to complain about. The staff is wonderful too. Even if I haven't been there in a while, the woman working the counter always remembers my go-to order!
