I always enjoy walking the perimeter of the baseball fields. Although the geese leave a despicable mess when they are at Hammer Field, the fields, courts and playscape are well kept. Since it is next to Branford's Community House, Hammer Field is usually busy. Plenty of parking at the Community House or on the street. During spring, summer & fall, there is usually a, (1) one, porta potty there. By the kid's playscape, (2) two picnic tables are avaible. There are garbage cans throughout the fields. Dogs are not allowed (but the geese are). Go figure? They are leaving disgusting poop every where. Be aware where you walk or roll. The Community House has handicap parking with acces to the fields. Going for a game, bring a chair or blanket.
